Advising people that this place is NOT equipped or qualified to handle severe dementia patients. The patients were always in their rooms sleeping or watching TV. Never saw any interaction with other patients in the living quarters. The staff were good w/daily showers, laundry. Leo's interpersonal skills were lack there of. If you want your loved one who has severe dementia, DO NOT put him in this place. They did an assessment (very expensive) and accepted him with no hesitation. When he wanted to walk, look & explore around, they didn't want to deal him anymore. ******************************* ******Response to comment**** Dementia patients tend to wonder, which was also disclosed upon he was assessed. The person in question wasn't or ever was dangerous nor would he hurt anyone. TLH came highly recommended from a family friend whose father live here so we toured for our self and it exceeded our expectations! Group homes get an unfortunately bad rep, but TLH is the true exception. It's clean, smells great, has active residents, serves tasty food (from what my aunt says), has a variety of engaging activities, and most importantly - is well staffed with compassionate caregivers. My aunt particularly loves taking walks in the courtyard, watching the fish swim in the many aquariums, and spending time with the dogs Winnie & Ellie. They are very cute and sweet. I visited my uncle at Tender Loving Home over the holidays and was so pleasantly surprised! My uncle moved into this care home in 2022 and has been very happy since! He has some physical disabilities and has early onset dementia, so it's great that TLH can provide the care he needs without having to separate him into an assisted living or memory care unit like the big facilities. My aunt was recently transitioned into a care home because my family was not able to provide her with the care that she needed. After searching for months for the right place for my aunt, we found Tender Loving Memory Care & Assisted Living Home. We were immediately greeted with warmth. We met the owner, Leo and the manager, Lily and they walked us through their home and all the questions and concerns that we had. During our walk through, we saw and talked to current residents, they all looked cheerful and comfortable. The rooms were large and spacious with plenty of space to fit a restroom in each room! But it has been night and day because the staff at TLH has been so attentive, caring, and warm to my aunt since she moved in. Tender Loving Home is where we found placement for my father. The owners and staff are amazing at meeting my father's every need. The staff make sure he is treated like family. When he came to this home he was bedridden. They now have my father ambulatory. He goes into the dinning room and living room. He eats in the dinning room and watches TV or does singing with the staff. There is a piano and many beautiful fish tanks to enhance relaxation. They play board games and exercise regularly. It is the very best placement available for your loved ones. I would highly recommend this home to anyone in need of placement for a loved one. My mother entered into hospice care for dementia on February 1st 2023. She had been with my husband and I since my father's passing roughly 2 1/2 years prior. When it became far too difficult for her to have adequate care in our home, our social worker for hospice highly recommended Tender Loving Home. My husband and I met with Leo, toured the facility and were greeted by their wonderful staff. The home is warm, inviting, very well maintained and we felt instant warmth and support. They had availability and we moved mom over the following Monday. It was close to our home, only about a 5min. drive and knew I would be able to get there easily everyday. It was immediately evident that their engagement and genuine caring for individuals with memory care needs was exceptional. My mom was rapidly declining and her time there was short. In the 17 days she was in their care she was treated with love, support, dignity and well fed...her favorite thing to do, even up until the end. She passed peacefully there at the age of 91 with wonderful care from all. We were grateful to have Tender Loving Home as the end of our journey. I am grateful and appreciative of the level of caring and kindness exhibited by TLH. My mom was extremely happy with her placement after being very stubborn and resistant for many years to the idea of living in a senior home (or moving out of Vegas area). She quickly made new friends and it was nice to see her socialize daily. The staff is fantastic, led by Leo and his mom Lily; and Joseph's elevated spirit is reflected in the elderly. The home (not facility) is comfortable and well designed as a group home - I am impressed by the thoughtful touches such as the fish tank (it was alive with activity and very clean). They have community style features such as meal time and games as well as quiet, private quarters. I am glad I found this oasis in the middle of the desert; they are not conveniently located being out in N Las Vegas but I knew I had found the right location for my mom.
