Our last visit was a big disappointment. I had the Fish and chips. The batter on the fish was chewy, and the fish was rubbery, and overall too salty. I'm glad I had a salad because I couldn't eat the fish. Our son had a burger and onion rings. The onion rings weren't edible. They were all batter, and barely any onion. The taste was horrible, I took a bite of one, and almost gagged. They weren't busy, and the waiter was very attentive, (hence the 1 star) but the food was sub standard. Enroute to Rolla from KC, we stopped by around 8:30 on Friday night and got right in. The beers were good and cold. Tried the flight--nice variety. I really enjoyed the IPA, brown and octoberfest. We had the tenderloin with sweet potato fries, a salad, and the bacon, feta and Tom pizza. All were Really good. Would have them all again, but would definitely try more items. We had a party with 2 groups of about 20 each. The servers and kitchen were efficient and friendly. The staff kept pace with our large group and did not ignore their other customers. The theme is also very fun. The portions were huge which you wouldn't think considering the modest pricing of the menu items. I highly recommend the Greek pizza. I give it 2 stars because the food was OK not great but OK. I arrive at about 630 with two other friends we were told it would be a 45 min wait unless we had reservations. A couple of large tables were already set up. We all know in restaurant time 45 mins mean 1 hour plus. I was surprised when we did get sat in about 40 mins. The place very small and cramped tables sitting on top of each other. A live band setting up and we were just dreading the band and noise was going to be so loud we couldn't talk to each other. The waitress took our drink order and the band started to play so we had to scream the last of the order to the waitress. The drinks and apps came in a reasonable time. Me and my friends just looked at each other because we got tried of screaming to talk over the band. The band being in such a cramped place and crowed was sitting right on top of the tables. It took about an hour to get our food and by the time it arrive none of us were even hungry any longer. I had one of the homemade pizzas and it was pretty good. Good size and had a lots of flavor but I only felt like eating a couple of pieces. I order another drink but never received it and couldn't enjoy my friends company. By that time it was getting stuffy and hot inside the place. We asked for our check and we paid to get out as fast as we could. My ears were ringing with the band playing in my ear and I was so hot I could have stood in an ice box. Seemed to me the band which the music wasn't bad was causing more issues then helping. People were eating and staying around to finish their drinks and nursing what they had in front of them. But the front door was turning away customers because of the extended wait time. Seemed me the place was loosing money with people at the table not buying anything and customers wanting to get in to buy food were being turned away. I suggest either put the band downstairs or expand your location. I will think twice before I go back and the food was just not worth the noise, heat, sitting on top of people and all the wait times. Our waiter checked on us a lot, and there's nothing wrong with good customer service. I tried one of the porters they brew, and it was also okay. Every time I eat here there are issues. Either the drinks taste like they are watered down, the service stinks, or their are issues with the food. The other day I ate there again and this time both the food and service were terrible. I ordered the Black and Bleu hamburger which looked good but was soooo salty I couldn't believe it. I was going to tell my waiter about it, but after he delivered the food, he never came back to check on me or refill my drink! I had to ask for my check and a to-go box. The food use to fantastic here but not anymore. The homemade root beer was watery, had barely any flavor, and no carbonation to speak of. Today I had the loaded fries that were just ok with the cheese that was on them a little salty, the buffalo chicken wrap the was more sweet than savory, the sweet potato fries that were over cooked, and the Pasta Italiano that canned Alfredo sauce could out do.
