This restaurant was recommended by friends. I found the food good, hubs thought it was just "ok". The serving size of the chips did leave a lot to be desired, but they were good. The service left a LOT to be desired - our server tonight was Gabriela N. She seemed much more interested in talking with her friends at the bar and her fellow employees behind the bar than taking care of her customers. We had to flag her down when we wanted anything. Hubs ordered his drink "tall" and was given a short both times. She didn't seem to understand the beer list. She never came to ask us if our food was OK. Another employee, Corey, picked up her slack to some extent - taking empty glasses off the bar and picking up our empty plates, etc. When I mentioned to him that Gabriela was not very good, he said it had been a "long day". I should mention that we arrived about 4:30 pm and they were NOT busy. We won't be back and unfortunately can't recommend it to anyone passing through. read more

We had went to the Historic Downtown area to the Main St Theaters & saw a movie, then decided to try the Prison Hill Brewing Co. The menu has anything you could want. We decided on the Convict Cobb Salad & decided to share it. Boy I'm glad we did. It was huge! It was also fresh & delicious. Loved our waitress & she was so sweet. Service was excellent & our Cobb salad was groovy! We live in Yuma full time now & plan on going back. Lots of yummy items to try. The ambiance is laid back. It's a Brewery for goodness sakes. Clean, high & low table seating as well as seating at the bar & outdoor dining with umbrellas & misters! We aren't beer drinkers but they have their own & others. Cocktails & wine also. We love stopping in to brew places and trying out great craft beer. We stopped in here after a game to try out the craft beer and food. We were excited. The atmosphere seems nice and their set up of the place is good for relaxed dining, just what we like. However, it took almost 15 minutes for us to be acknowledged. Several servers walked past our table with no greet or just a "hey I'll be right with you". Nothing. The female who did end up being our server, Katelyn, had walked past our table several times without even giving eye contact. Katelyn never actually gave us her name but that was on the ticket. Of course by the time she came we were ready to order. We ordered the Elote for our appetizers and they came out after our meals were completely gone. Our food was delivered and our server did not stop by once to see how things were going until the end when someone had asked for ranch, that she also never came back with. I was going to tell her to just forget the Elote but she never came by so I did not get the chance. The burger I ordered was the Drunk tank and it was good. Elote was spot on. Cheers to the cooks. The craft beer was delicious; I would have ordered a second but our server was non existent. Overall the food and drinks are great. The service, was TERRIBLE. POSSIBLY the Worst I've experienced in a long time. You can always visit a place again where the food is "okay" but the service is excellent. The same cannot be said for a place where the food is great but their service doesn't exist. I would Not recommend this place or visit again. Had the 2 meat platter and found the flavor of the meat to be very good with just a touch of chili pepper spiciness. I chose Brisket and Sausage for my meat selections. Both were extremely overcooked to the point that they were crumbling on the plate. No moisture left. I smoke sausage and brisket both and are always super tender and juicy even though cooked through. The sides - Cole Slaw had chilli pepper added to flavor, but still found it to be very much a industrial prepared cole slaw that had been spiced, as opposed to a fresh concoction. The steamed veggies, again could have been fresh, but more likely were frozen, as they lacked any crunch. The beer is fresh, and clean. Given the temps were 100 degrees the day we visited, a blonde light ale really hit the spot. Having said all that, the staff was inviting, professional, and quite attentive. read more

My husband and I ordered The Verdict Sandwich. We have had this sandwich for the last several years and it's been amazing until Today's lunch. Today's lunch was very skimpy on the brisket. We asked the waitress about why so little meat on our sandwich. She said "they've started portioning". Also told us that she thought the sandwich looked fine. For the town that it is in I was impressed to see such a modern styled micro brew. I enjoyed the beer options (try the flight) and definitely would return when passing through in the future. The smoked meat plate was a perfect variety of their inhouse smoked meats, I especially favored the tri tip steak. Nice outdoor seating with heaters. Indoor seating is way too close. And it seems the staff doesn't know how to wear face masks to protect their customers? All the male servers wore masks below their noses. Women servers wore them properly. Our server Manna (or was it Mona?) seriously saved the day. She swooped in and was friendly, fast and protected us by wearing her mask. We took ours off only to eat & drink. The owners of this place should mandate proper mask wearing, and if they don't, the county should shut them down. We tasted all the IPAs and liked the Outbreak IPA the best. Hen house salad was huge! And delicious. Burger & fries yummy too. This place is awesome. They should just hire staff that care about their community. If you want flies swarming you and all over your food while you're eating than this is the place for you, staff was pretty rude for the most part and way over priced for some mid food, wouldn't recommend, but if you like flies in your food go here I guess. Was in Yuma for work and heard several talking about this place. So after work I headed down to check it out. It was a busy place on Wednesday night. I sat at the bar because the outside patio was full. The place is nestled right in the middle of historic downtown Yuma. Bartender was friendly and even made suggestions from the menu. I went with the Chipotle Shredder. Chipotle BBQ beef topped with pepper jack & mozzarella cheeses, bacon, and avocado. The beef was sauced up real good and was very tender too. I'm use to Chipotle BBQ having a little kick this didn't it was actually kind of sweet. It came with house chips and I got the potato salad. House chips were nice and crisp, a little on the salty side though. Potato salad was bland but everything else made up for its lack. I also had the jailbait blonde beer. It was nice crisp beer with just a little bite at the end. The craft beer selection is extensive with some interesting ones on the list. read more

Very good brisket and pulled pork. Very moist and loaded with flavor! I had the Wrecker burger which consists of sausage, brisket and pulled pork. The side I got was macaroni salad and homemade potato chips. The chips were good and we not over salty! The macaroni salad was good also but lack flavor for I wish it had a little more pop. First visit here. Cool setup and a good vibe. Plenty of TVs to watch sports, though they do keep music playing through the speakers. The fried avocado is legit. I would order it again in a heartbeat. I got the 2 meat plate and chose pulled pork and brisket. Pulled pork had great flavor - no sauce needed. BUT... as great as the meal was I just couldn't come to love it because of the brisket. As someone who does a fair share of backyard bbq, this may be the worst brisket I've ever had! It pains me to write this! It was so tough that I legitimately Couldn't even cut it with a butter knife. It wouldn't even pull apart. Chewy as hell! I'm not even mad about it, because the rest of the meal was great, but I'm just disappointed! I'd rather you not even serve brisket if that's what it's going to be. I knew I was in trouble when it was served in 3-4 inch cut up sections. I'll be back, but not for the brisket! read more

The pretzels were bomb the fried avocado was tasty We also got the sampler meat plate. The coleslaw was horrible if I was basing my review on that I would have given it zero stars. It's advertised as spicy sounds good right. I've never had a more tasteless coleslaw. Literally tasted like cabbage ‍the beans were pretty good. The brisket was ok not fantastic but not terrible.
