This has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had with any business type. They will do the same bracket over and over expecting a different result, the workers would rather talk to each other than focus on working on your mouth (I've been stabbed in the gums by two different people because they felt they needed to look up and talk while working). Also, the front office and the actual workers don't communicate. One side tells me to come in for original appointments after needing a fix and then the other cancels appointment after I had to take time off work to come in. The office doesn't explain why they keep doing the same brackets over and over even when I questioned them saying my teeth are hitting the brackets, they said it was fine and it wasn't as it broke repeatedly. I was never presented with different options and when I asked about transferring my treatment, they first lead with I would owe them the full amount for treatment (bullying), and then the next time I was in the office, they tried gaslighting me that I was bullying them. Please disregard their reply as it's just them saving face. read more

I am an older patient - age 67 - and this review only pertains to the first two months of treatment, the first month being the initial preparation and the second month with the braces. . I have 17 more months with the braces to go. So far the experience with the staff, office environment and Dr. Peralta has been great. Everything is explained and so far, no surprises. Time will tell how this project turns out, so I will update it along the way. It's great to do this now as we are still wearing masks due to Covid, so I didn't have the opportunity to be self-conscious about my appearance. After three years of braces, my teeth are worse off than before. There was no evaluation of how the treatment was going, nothing! The whole treatment involved getting the same bracket over and over, nothing less, nothing more. No x-ray, no checking on misaligned; that is my experience with the dental team. The front desk team was remarkable before they made the changes and moved Amanda to the backend. She worked hard to fit my schedule. It has since become horrible to get common sense appointments in the afternoon after 4:00 PM; I was told no afternoon appointments in the next 3-5 months! The missed appointment came with a hefty fee and denial to schedule an appointment. It almost felt personal as it seemed they did not see me, especially Erin. I felt so unwelcomed. Ultimately, I came in with high hopes but left feeling cheated out of my money and unwelcomed. They might have been good in the past, but not anymore. The doctor was not necessarily bad; it is almost like he has too many patients and takes a quick glance at the months without taking the feedback seriously. I would not have gotten braces had I known better, so that is your advice. read more

Love love love this place and the staff! The whole process for me was super fast and smooth. I got a consultation with Dr. Peralta, he gave me options between invisalign and braces, walked me through the pros and cons, the pricing, and payment plan. All of it was easy to choose from and set up. I was set for 18 months with braces. Each time a bracket would fall off or break I just mention it and they'll place it back on. Same goes for if the wire is poking me they just help snip it off. Everyone there is nice and sweet. Everyone washes their hands and changes their gloves after each patients. They have stations for you to wash and brush your teeth. Payment plans are smooth, making appointments are easy. They have 2 locations, one being burien and the other in west seattle. The west seattle location is a bit newer but only has street parking while burien has a small parking lot. Other than the process and environment, my teeth got straighten out so quick it's unbelievable and I feel great! read more

I promised myself I wouldn't post a review until my treatment was concluded, though multiple times throughout the last year I felt this office was deserving of praise, but I held true to my vow and - am now out of braces and can give Orthodontics of Burien the feedback they're more-than deserving of. Let me quickly preface this review with: I couldn't be happier with my result. My smile is BEAUTIFUL! Being an adult with ridiculously high expectations, I was very thorough in my research and wanted to find the appropriate orthodontist when I finally decided that I was serious about getting braces. I had some experience in this, because this wasn't my first time in braces; I had them when I was a teenager, but didn't listen to anybody back then, and I refused to wear my retainers (& subsequently lost them). Over the next twenty years my teeth shifted and I was left with a narrow bite, crowded teeth, a few teeth that stuck out, a crossbite, and a smile that kept me from feeling attractive or confident. What a waste of teenage ridicule and miserable nights without sleep because of frumpy headgear (not to mention the expense, thanks Mom & Dad for footing the bill back then!). I tossed around the idea of "adult braces" for half a decade. Had I known now what I knew then, I wouldn't have wasted those precious years (word to the wise: if you're contemplating treatment, do yourself a favor and stop delaying - get started TODAY; the only regret you'll have is not starting sooner! As I tell my friends today: if you listened to me a few months ago, you could be halfway through treatment already!!). This office is exactly what I was looking for. The first contact you'll have is with Erin, who oversees the office and ensures it runs smoothly/efficiently. The combination of Erin and Dr. Peralta were what made my decision an easy one - - it's rare to find an office where you not only respect the doctor (Dr. Peralta, the orthodontist), but also the one who runs the show (Erin). Erin spent a ridiculous amount of time answering my questions and making me feel comfortable. This office is very thorough in explaining EVERYthing and made me feel at ease, without feeling pressured into a decision whatsoever. My concerns were: 1) duration of treatment (how long would I be a brace-face), 2) effectiveness of treatment (was my narrow/rickety smile fixable??), 3) long-term expectations/result, 4) cost of treatment, 5) pain associated with treatment, 6) every other concern you hadn't even considered being a concern (did I mention my ridiculous expectations? I wasn't kidding). Dr. Peralta studied my smile and then laid out a treatment plan which was aggressive (like me) and would have me out of braces by my 36th birthday (a mere 13 months from the day I started treatment. A year and a month is all????? Um .... SOLD!) From there I viewed an entire catalogue of Dr. Peralta's prior cases (literally hundreds of smiles that he single-handedly made perfectly straight) which built my confidence in this Columbia Graduate's abilities. Erin then presented a financial plan that worked with my budget and allowed for treatment to become a reality. Communication is key - and Orthodontics of Burien clearly communicates every step of the way. I live/work in Seattle and was amazed at how easy the commute to/from Burien for my monthly appointments was. In fact, I actually looked forward to going in for my check-ups/adjustments because of the friendly staff. Who knew ortho could be enjoyable?! The office is clean, bright, modern, spacious, and comfortable, not to mention their great taste in music which helps to further ease any stress associated with dental work. What an incredible experience the last 13 months were. I'm now 36, brace-free and I have a smile that I'm PROUD to show. I feel more confident, I feel more attractive, and my tongue actually fits in my mouth now! Getting braces was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Erin, the first person you see when you walk in the door is the main reason i chose to get treatment here. She was so warm and friendly, not pushy at all and didn't make me feel like a loser for having an over bite and broken front tooth. Dr. Peralta and his Team are great! Our 8 year old is not a fan of the dentist, but has learned to tolerate the ortho. Rossana is an amazingly calm person with a soothing voice. Our son likes to know EVERYTHING going on and she knows how to talk him through it all without skipping a beat. He has had a couple of late afternoon emergencies and they always find time to slip him in and get us back on our way in no time. The front desk is always warm and welcoming, and they always great you as you walk in. No need to "check-in" because they already know who their patients are by sight. That's great patient service. Orthodontics of Burien is great! First off, for every appointment you have whether you're getting your braces adjusted or getting your braces off etc. Dr. Peralta gives you one on one attention. He's incredibly qualified seeing that he is a Columbia graduate. Rosanna is one of the orthodontic assistants and she's great! She's quick when she removes the wires, she's incredibly social, and always has a great story to tell. I also love that if your appointment is at say 2:00pm then you're not in the waiting room for 20 minutes until someone is available, the staff is incredibly efficient. You'll either be taken care of right on time or early. I also had my braces taken off today after 24 months and I am more than satisfied! read more

I started going to the Burien location back in November 2019. We agreed to $6300+ to open my lower teeth to put in a implant because I am missing a lower tooth, mind you there is and was nothing else wrong with my teeth. May 27th 2020 I was seen by Dr Jorge and we agreed to just completely close my small gap and forget about the implant. By September 2020 my teeth were straight and he wanted to work on my bite. In my mind I'm thinking I'm almost done and won't have to pay the entire $6300+.. when I asked Dr Jorge in October when I would be done he started soon. Now I'm being told I have to still pay the complete $6300+ even if the treatment plan has changed. I'm a thousand percent frustrated. How are two different procedures the same price when it's less work and visits. I was told the materials they used on me were $2000, ok that was paid in 4 months. I put $1000 down and pay over $250 a month. I was told I've been in 10 times 1 was a emergency which is a absolute lie. I'm seen every 4-6 weeks at best... couldn't be seen March to late May because of Covid every 6 weeks since then until October and I haven't been seen since. All I can say is don't sign contracts unless everything is explained to you and what the price difference would be if you got another procedure. Now I'm paying for the doctors time because everything else is paid for!! read more

They take the fear out of braces here at peralta orthodontics. I usually have the same assistant work on my teeth each time. (Stephanie) Quiet waiting area but never a wait. Your time is your time. Your in when your appointment is. My adjustments usually take 20 minutes or less sometimes. Flexible payment options. Just make sure to call ahead if your gonna miss an appointment. Sometimes things get hectic; I've been late to probably 3 appointments but never charged a fee. Dr peralta is board certified and is commended as one of Americas top Orthodontists. I wish I knew about this office 14 years ago instead my mom took me to an orthodontist right across the street who was on the back nine so to speak and about to retire: and he didn't take the time to measure and adjust my brackets or give me retainers; because of that and my class 3 posterior cross bite I've had to re do treatment. However it's been a breeze; the braces aren't off yet but have progressed much faster than I thought; I will reccomend anyone who needs readjusting to Dr Peralta because it's not just a smile; it's your whole life, they correct your bite and your face feels better; you become inspired with your new found confidence to smile more: the plus side is your wires come off each visit so you can brush and floss. After going to three different orthodontics for an initial consultation and opinion I found DR. Peralta did my research and made my choice.My first question to him was how many teeth are you pulling out to get straight teeth? He gave me the look why would I pull out your teeth?well the other three orthodontics wanted to pull from 3 to four teeth out in order to get my teeth straight. Dr Peralta said your my biggest challenge and I'm not pulling nothing out. I got my braces on,six months later I end up seeing results through my braces,my gap was straight I was amazed,omg I finally have straight teeth after 28years.i would smile everywhere with my braces on.
