I was…read moreskeptical of this place for a few reasons, so my expectations were low, I guess the good news is they didn't disappoint me. When this place was Top Fade, it was always busy, Truth be told, most of the barbers there were trash, but this location is actually really good because it's close to a lot of teens. The place was actually quiet and empty when I arrived. Still skeptical, I decided to give them a try. Rather than beat around the bush, I'll just sum it up. The fade wasn't tight, matter of fact the fade itself was weak and the overall cut was average at best. The saving grace was the chop was $30. That is a few bucks less than the competition and since I didn't have a long wait, in the end, the cut served it's purpose. I also didn't care for the loud music. It's a barbershop, not a club, so turning up the music once people show up is just silly. Kyle was cool, I don't know if he is new to the game, but if he could really tighten up his skills and add a razor line, he just might sew up the area. Speaking of line. My neck has been on fire for days. I don't think the clippers were cleaned before cutting me and that is a major no-no. Also, he just patted me lightly with alcohol after the fade. My man, you need to spray the neckline and wipe it dry, or at least have enough 90% on that tissue that you can soothe that area. Serious rookie mistakes that would make me thing twice about returning. I will make it clear for any barber or customer who is scouting out this place. 1) Always be professional. 2) Treat your business like a business, not a hood hangout. 3) Keep your equipment clean. 4) Sincerely than people for their business and welcome them back. Do these things and your business will thrive. Honestly, this was a 2 star experience, but you gained a star for not being greedy and charging too much for what it was.

So imagine the courage it required, to get my hair cut here. I literally sat in my car for 15 minutes and watched two barbers work, then went inside and waited 15 more minutes before being called. I have an important meeting in the morning and my hair was down over my collar, I was desperate and willing to take the gamble. It was a gamble because I'm an old guy, bald and conservative, just wanting to look plain and trimmed - no fancy hair-do cuts! My barber was a young man, said his name is " T ". He asked me how I wanted my hair to look and I explained, "... off my collar... shortened everywhere... left full with a trim-line across the back... and the sides able to be combed straight back." He said okay and went to work. He wetted my hair all over, gathered and shortened it with hand scissors all over, trimmed tight around my ears and blended the sideburns with my beard. Then he blow dryed my hair completely and went back over again with hand scissors. I was in the chair for maybe 20-25 minutes. My hair looks clean, groomed and natural. More importantly, it doesn't look like I just got a haircut! I asked how much was the cut, he said if I'm over 66 years old, it would be $15.00. I paid him $20.00 cash. Lets be fair. Where can you get a perfect trim and blend for $15.00? I was a walk-in and they got me in the chair quickly. The barber did a great job! The facility is clean, with a waiting room and television. It's a 4-chair shop, there's off street parking and they're open till 7:00 PM. What more should it take to get a 5-Star rating? See the pictures below, that's me in the chair and "T" cutting my hair; see how long it was in back?!?! The pics of the back of my hair were later at home after I messed up my hair a bit. It still looks totally natural. (ha... my review took longer than the hair cut.) Lesson: If you do a good job in life, you don't have to "hype" yourself. Eventually you will earn and receive the credibility you deserve.
