I tried to avoid writing this review by contacting the venue directly but have yet to see a response, so here we are. They had multiple pages on their website saying they are showing all the World Cup games for free, including the game I attended on June 13th. None of the pages I saw mentioned a cover charge for this game. (See the attached screenshots). Also, they had posted similar ads on their social media accounts saying that they are showing the games for free. So after waiting 20 minutes in line for the Brazil vs. Morocco game with no prior warning I was informed there's a $25 dollar entry fee at the door. The game had already started due to the extremely slow door management even though I showed up ten minutes early to get in on time. I just payed the cover because I didn't want to miss any more of the best match for the group stage, and didn't know where else I could go nearby. Once inside the promoter showed the game on a low definition satellite stream that was choppy throughout, and kept cutting out completely, missing parts of the game. On top of all that the promoter was charging $20 for feijoada, which basically is rice, beans, and some meat on top. This seemed draconian considering the ridiculously high price of entry for a game viewing that other venues all over the city showed for free. I would like to know how this obvious disconnect between your advertising and what the promoter actually charged/offered will be addressed to your loyal customers?

Told us he initially thought we were Japanese because "all Asians look the same." 2. After we understandably did not laugh, told us to "smile" because we "didn't understand his humor." 3. Said he was glad ICE was not there because we were international. We had prepaid for the room and, in hindsight, should have left immediately. During checkout, we witnessed another disturbing interaction. A guest who appeared to have limited English proficiency was struggling with the card reader, and Ed aggressively slammed the machine down in front of them. The guest still thanked him politely afterward. He ignored them. The behavior was shocking and completely inappropriate for someone working at the front desk. I have genuinely never experienced this level of unprofessionalism, hostility, and discriminatory behavior from hotel staff before. We will be formally reporting this incident to our state civil rights agency. Clearly he has a pattern of behavior and nothing has been done to reprimand his racist behavior. No guest should be subjected to racist remarks or intimidation while checking into a hotel.

They arrived early, set everything up, had great props and were very friendly. I really enjoyed getting a text at the end of the night with access to all of the photos!
