Located in the middle of Main St in the city of Fredericksburg Texas. This place is an absolute gem ranging from their German pretzels and various baked goods. The salted pretzel and pretzel dog were both airy and savory and went perfectly with the cheese sauce! The apple crisp is also another great option by them! Definitely recommend checking them out!
The apple crisp was amazing!! The pastry was so flaky! We also had several cookies and they were super good too. Definitely stop by and get some treats!!
Cute small bakery and a must stop on your way out of Fredericksburg! Located towards the front busy end of Main, we were ready for a sweet treat on our way by back from some major shopping. My sister picked up a German sweet pretzel and an apple crisp after conferring with the employee behind the counter on which was best to try. The pretzel was not your typical bready twist, it leaned toward a flaky almond texture with sugar, cinnamon, and glaze. The apple crisp also had a flaky texture, was shaped like a roll up, had a sweet apple filling, and lastly was covered in cinnamon and sugar. Both were very sweet, but well deserved at the end of a long day!
Pritzer Sweet Shop is my favorite place to get a cookie while walking around Fredericksburg. I'm kind of a cookie snob, and I think I make some pretty good cookies, but I like to buy bakery cookies for variety's sake when I'm out for a fun day. I've tried Pritzer's chocolate chunk and cowboy cookies. I liked how the chocolate chunk cookies had a variety of chocolates in them, but the texture of the cowboy cookies is my favorite so far. I was tempted to get one of their giant cookie sandwiches, but that would have been ridiculous to eat all by myself (and both my recent trips to Fredericksburg were with people who avoid sugar.)
Visiting Fredericksburg & wanted to eat a sweet pastry. A local business recommended this place. It was delicious! I bought 2 cherry turnovers. The staff was friendly & courteous. I consider this place a hidden gem! The pastry was soft & I learned their pastries are made fresh everyday! Will definitely revisit on another trip back!
Another favorite of ours which is a must-stop while in town. We already had lunch but I saved room for dessert as I knew we were going to hit this! I already had notes of what I wanted to order again. I think the last time we were here was last summer 2024. We got 2 orders of GIANT treats: *WHISKEY, BACON, PRETZEL, CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES; *CINNAMON TOAST MARSHMALLOW COOKIES and *COCONUT MACAROONS. I just ate lunch so I tried maybe 1/4 of each and saved the rest for later. Hubs devoured his Marshmallow cookie on a bench just outside the store and ate 1/2 of the Coconut Macaroon which was so satisfying with a baked chewiness on the bottom and nice toasted Coconut on the outside. Great texture combo. Later on we found an old Lutheran church while headed back to our vehicle. We sat on the stone wall and ate more Macaroons/Whiskey Cookie. Glad to see the store so busy and with the Christmas decor outside and inside.
They have some unique local pastries that are fun to try. It's worth a stop and a quick visit to try something different. I liked the fried apple roll. Make a stop for a snack or interesting local baked goods. It's grab and go

It is rare that the display treats convey how tasty the pastries are actually going to be but in this case they look gorge and taste soooo good. The lemon cookie - this one was my least favorite only because the lemon flavor was a bit more subtitle than I personally like Macaroon - coconutty delight. It had crispy edges and was just the right amount of sweet. Better than any store bought macaroon and I wish I purchased more. Apple strudel - good, would have liked more apple in it but overall was very pleasing. Tastes like it was made with love. Bacon cookie - I got this one as a joke but it was a surprise hit. The salty and sweet - the softness of the cookie with the crunch of the bacon. A work of art. I'm so glad I got it. This place was a highlight on my trip.
Absolutely tiny (yet adorable) shop with their offerings more than making up for their size. This is a grab and go place so please don't expect to be able to sit down and escape the Texas heat for long. Sweet caramel cookies, apple crisps, snickerdoodles, sweet German pretzels, and salted pretzels just to name a few. My partner in crime and I opted for a sweet German pretzel and a salted pretzel with cheese dip. The salted pretzel was warmed and beautifully glossy with all its salted goodness. The cheese dip was super light and just enough to not overpower the pretzel. The sweet German pretzel was flaky and airy with just enough sweetness. The cost for the two and a couple of drinks was about $16(?) if I recall so yes, a little on the pricey side but worth it.
They offer a variety of sweet treats like pretzels, macaroons, croissant, cookies, canned alcohol and slushies. The pretzel was good and came with cheese. You can ask to warm up your pastries. The lemonade was refreshing and I love that it was a slushy.
Enjoyed my pretzel, it was good. Quick service and a nice little bench to sit on and enjoy right outside. Complete to sit inside though so just be mindful it's a grab and go place.
Weekend in Fredericksburg and found Pritzer's to be a must visit before leaving town. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our tummy and pocketbook. Everything here is delicious you can't go wrong with anything from Pritzer's!
Very delicious selection of pastries. The cookies are massive. Decent prices on the main road. The German pretzel was delicious. It's more of a pasry and not a pretzel except the shape. Friendly service but it is a small space and gets very crowded.
Staff was nice , this cute little shop had plenty of options some that were even displayed in the window on the sidewalk . I got the peanut butter which was basically a cookie sandwich dipped in chocolate . I wish they had the peanut butter cookie alone . I love that they had frozen lemonade & some seating outside to enjoy your treat! read more
Split a cookie between my family because these cookies are huge! So good, the chocolate chunks are perfect size. The business has a slim hall you walk down to place your order and walk right out. The glass case has about 10-15 different options of breads/sweets to choose from, plus bags of ground coffee, and coffee to go! read more

Food was great, had the salted pretzel with cheese! The pretzel was soft and the cheese was delicious! Service was excellent. There's was not room to sit down to eat, but inside the shop was clean and neatly decorated read more

The restaurant is super cute, and it was extremely busy. The customer service was top-notch, which made my overall experience great. We ordered the sweet German pastry, apple turnovers, and a salted pretzel. The German pastry was mediocre; it was dry and needed some kind of dripping sauce, though perhaps that's how it was supposed to be. The apple pastries and fully loaded pretzel were delicious. Overall, I don't feel the need to visit again, but I'm glad I tried it. read more

I barely made it out the door without devouring the whole pretzel. It was soooo delicious. If I wasn't going to brunch, I would buy another pretzel. I hung outside on the bench while finishing my soft, pillowy pretzel while telling walking bystanders they needed to go try this place. Everything you see in the window is as advertised! read more

A friend of mine and I made a day of Fredericksburg and when I originally passed the storefront, there was a long line out the door for this pastry shop so when I came back around lunchtime, there was finally a shorter line and I decided to grab a pastry before we headed back to Austin. The shop is on Main Street so we parked by the library which shares it's parking with the courthouse so we walked a couple blocks and this is a long main street with all of the other shops. There's just enough room to walk in see the selection order and walk out this is not a dine in experience. The only thing I purchased was the sweet German pretzel and I wish I would've bought something else. It was a very dry pastry and I'm not sure if it's meant to be dipped in coffee, but I couldn't finish it and unfortunately there were tons of other pastries that I could've chose from that might've given me a better experience, but you can't deny how delicious everything looks in the window and the line a lot of folks probably enjoyed what they got. The woman who was standing in front of me who ordered seemed like she knew exactly what she was getting and possibly like she had ordered before and I didn't get any of the things that she ordered, but they all look delicious. Definitely worth a try and if you get the sweet pretzels, get some coffee too and dip it. read more

Such a cute bakery! I loved the experience of strolling downtown, smelling the sweet treats and seeing the beautiful displays in the window; I just had to stop in. I got the peanut butter cookie sandwich because, why not? Wow... SO rich and decadent but definitely messy and needs to be split with at least two other people. The service was great and I will definitely be making this part of my Fredericksburg Main Street regular rotation from now on. read more

We were told when visiting Fredericksburg, this small bakery is a must try. We stumbled upon it when we saw the line wrapped around the corner. The German sweet pretzel was too sweet for our taste buds, but the savory traditional salted pretzel was very good~ soft and buttery. We got a variety of their popular items: apple strudel, coconut macaroons, mini pecan pie, oatmeal cookie, German sweet pretzel, and salted pretzel. The rest of the cookies and pecan pie were just average, but the fact that this bakery has been around for some time now, so it's quite popular in this town. read more
This is a very small bakery. Don't blink or you'll miss it! Seriously worth a stop and so many delicious treats. We stopped in and there was a short line but it moved quickly. The staff was masked and packed out to go order well. You must try the German sweet pretzel. It's a puffed pastry texture and is flaky and so good. We also Loved the cookies and cinnamon rolls. The brownies are a cake texture, not chewy but still tasty. Give them a try next time you're in Fredericksburg. read more

After watching an episode of Elder Eats that featured some fabulous looking desserts served up at this quaint bakery, I so wanted a road trip from San Antonio to Fredericksburg,. One item featured was this enormous and amazing Peanut Butter Oatmeal 1/2 dipped sandwich cookie that was made by the bakery'. I so wanted to get in the car right then for a road trip from San Antonio to Fredericksburg in search of this prize (not to mention all of the other goodies they made. Alas, it wasn't in the cards that day, but my boyfriend says, why don't you ask your friend that does bus tours daily to Fredericksburg and the wineries amongst other Texas places and see if she'll get you one next time she goes? So I found a pic of the cookie from their Yelp page, and sent her a text to see if this was a possibility! What are the odds she was in Fredericksburg that day and said she would swing by, pick one up and EVEN dropped it by my house, on her way home! Wow,I thought it was my birthday! How lucky am I to have such a great friend? And to top it off, this cookie didn't disappoint one bit!! It was delicious, the peanut butter fluff on the inside was a bit sweet for me, I personally thought it was a smidge too sweet as far as the filling went, but the rest of the cookie was just perfect! I would buy it just plain without any filling and as a single cookie dipped in chocolate. It is definitely a shareable item, if not you'll be eating it for a couple of days. But after I broke off a piece and tasted how sweet the filling was for me personally, my son was oh too happy to eat the rest and he even ate only 1/2 one day and finished it the next! It is something like you've never had before and will definitely want to have one again! Who is not drawn to a shop like this?...amazing selection and super friendly service and what I feel are very fair prices for the ambiance of Fredericksburg...we grabbed a few item to go which included an apple crisp, a cowboy cookie and a chocolate chunk cookie (not pictured as this went with the granddaughter when we dropped her at home)...the Apple crisp had a flaky croissant texture with just the right amount of apple...the cowboy cookie was load with goodies and Uber soft...and I have no doubt the chocolate chunk cookie was the same...this will be a permanent place to visit on our return trip to FB. read more
