Unfortunately, my experience with Pro-Am Collision has been incredibly frustrating. They received my Toyota Grand Highlander around Memorial Day, and as of September 11, I am still dealing with unresolved issues from this repair. I initially worked with Randy, who encouraged me to purchase a replacement wheel and tire directly from Toyota and assured me that they would get the $907.91 expense approved through State Farm. Based on that assurance, I purchased it myself. Months later, I am still out $907.91. There was also an issue with one of my vehicle's sensors that Pro-Am was supposed to fix. I arranged an entire day around bringing my vehicle in and was told Randy would have a rental car set up for me. That didn't happen. I was sent to Enterprise, only to be told they did not have a vehicle for me. After wasting essentially an entire day getting the runaround, I finally told Pro-Am I was done trying to coordinate the repair through them. I took the vehicle back to Toyota, where they fixed the sensor for $198.85. There is also a door guard on my rear door that still needs to be replaced. Pro-Am already has the part, and Toyota agreed to install it if Pro-Am would simply get the part to them. That still has not happened. On July 31, I reached out to Jake at Pro-Am and laid all of this out again. I provided him with the $198.85 Toyota sensor repair cost, reminded him about the $907.91 wheel reimbursement, and explained that Toyota was waiting for the door guard. Jake responded that he would follow up with me. It is now September 11. I never received that follow-up. I understand that complications happen with collision repairs. What has been unacceptable is the lack of follow-through. Nearly four months after Pro-Am received my vehicle, I am still out more than $1,100 for expenses related to this repair, still waiting for a part they already have to make its way to Toyota, and still having to be the person chasing down answers. At this point, I don't know what else I'm supposed to do to get this repair completely resolved. read more

I am from out of town. Had some undercarriage damage to a plastic piece which was hanging down. Stopped at the 3987 plainfield ave shop. Talked to Carrie and she had one of the guys come out within minutes fixed it for no charge and i was on my way. That is the kind of place i would do business with. read more

Irritating. Didn't ask for diagnosis. Disrespected. I knew my fuel pump was failing and never said I needed a diagnosis. Then when I found out the diag charge I was confused af. Then she acted like that's what I ordered when I already explained once I didn't need a diagnosis. On September 24, 20, I had to much Ram and not enough dodge with my 2017 Ram 2500 Laramie. The damaged looked minimal and contained to just the bumper area. But looks are deceiving, once Doug and his crew started working on it, they found the frame was bent. Doug said they attempted to straighten it but they could not get it PERFECTLY straight. And that is exactly why I brought it to Doug and his team at Pro Am. I feel most other places, particularly the service departments at car dealerships have an ethical code of "good enough for the customer as long as we get paid". I have never known Doug or any member of his team to have a "good enough attitude" and they did not settle for good enough in this case. He put my truck on a new frame; he told me it would take longer but promised my truck be just like new upon completion. Not only did he have it put on a new frame, he went through it with a fine tooth comb and replaced nearly the whole front end. I have had it back a little over a week and as promised, it is as good or better than the day I drove it off the lot. I spent a lot of money to buy such a nice truck and I am meticulous when it comes to taking care of it. I know every sound, tick, and feel to the way my truck drives. When I got it back from them, I have not found or felt one difference in the way it preforms as compared to the day I drove it off the lot. If you are like me, finally came to a point in your life after working for 40 years and bought yourself a vehicle with bells and whistles because you could rather than settling for the "good enough car" and now you want to take care of it...do yourself a right and bring it Pro Am Collision for anything your car needs. Doug won't allow our vehicle to leave his shop unless their work is completed to your high standards. It's rare to find a business owner with ethics, Doug has them and it shows in his work. If i could give less than one star, I truly would. These guys are beyond unethical. They billed our insurance for work that they did NOT do (replace our bumper with a brand new one...they tried to "cover up" the damage that was there). It took them 4 weeks to do what they estimated at 1 week. Then, when it wasn't satisfactory we gave them a second chance to fix their shoddy work which they estimated at 1 week worth of work....three weeks later they want more money and refuse to return our car. They have the audacity to send a flat bed truck to get their "loaner" from my husbands office. (they would not accept a certified check from our credit union (they wanted cash). We will be taking them to small claims but in the mean time I do not want anyone else to get handed a raw deal. Just stay away. These guys are bad to their core. read more

I would 100% refer a friend to them in the future. Josh was extremely helpful in keeping me up to date about my car and even sent a driver to pick up/drop off my car at my house! I was in a car accident June 19, I was hit head-on by a guy who turned into my lane. Literally, I called the police, called my insurance agent, and contacted MY IMPORT AUTO where I bought my car. They recommended PRO AM. I spoke with Josh, they picked up my car that day. My car was pretty damaged on the driver side and while not totaled, my JEEP was severely damaged. Josh reassured me, "you will get this vehicle returned the way you bought it 6 months ago!" I am here to tell you, the man delivered on his word. I am beyond impressed and beyond satisfied. Not only that, Josh was just a very kind, very nice man who I found easy to communicate with and was a good businessman who keeps his customer informed. My vehicle was picked up at my home and delivered to my home. I live in Muskegon. That personal attention and service was so nice because not once did I have to stress, it was all taken care of. I didn't even handle insurance issues, they spoke to the adjuster and took Care of everything for me. Nothing came out of pocket. I highly recommend and Josh is outstanding. We dropped off both our daughter's vehicles off on the way out of town for spring break and as promised, they were ready when we returned. They had fixed all the areas we wanted fixed and even though one of the vehicles required work that hadn't been evident until they dug into it, they didn't charge more than the original estimate. This is probably the 9th or 10th car we have had paint repair completed here and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. read more

Nov 2019, Toyota recommended that I contact Pro Am Collision for repairs to my new car of less than 6 months. A deer ran into my front passenger side. I got an estimate from the insurance company; Pro Am came to my residence and picked up the car to take to Grand Rapids; left me one of their cars (I may as well have had a bike) and off they went. The car they brought me to drive in the meantime kept me at the gas station pumping up the tires and charging the battery. This was very time consuming. It took more than a few weeks to replace a fender and of course they will look for everything wrong...remember this is a brand new car. When I finally got it back after making a few phone calls to the shop, I had to pay about $750. The employee that brought my car to me also apologized for the rental car they gave me, saying that they should have given me a much newer car; I mean, that's what I gave them. Evidently there was someone of a higher status that got the better rental car. I'm guessing that the $750 included my deductible? I believe the delivery of my car to me was the first part/middle of December 2019...June of 2020, my insurance sends me an email letting me know that they sent Pro Am a payment for $487.56 - I responded to them with an email, but no one got back to me...Why was this additional payment necessary? Today I find out from insurance that the shop probably sent in a supplemental charge for some things they may missed?? I SAY SCAM!!! read more

Roughly 2 years ago, I was sent to this place as a referral from the wrecker who was called to the scene of my front end collision. I did not know where to go and had to choose a place where the wrecker could drop off my car so I agreed. Big Mistake not getting a referral after that. When I picked up the car after they were done - the steering wheel was reassembled at the 10 oclock position - not 12. Seriously, how do you screw that up? I had a bad feeling about it all as I was going through the process, and it was only recently confirmed. I recently had another collision involving my front end, only this time I got a referral. They cut away some of the damaged components, and there were 3 zip ties that I could see holding up parts of the front end. I think it was the cabin filter that was not even attached either. Now, I am not a mechanic and don't know the in's and out's of it all, but even I could see it was absolutely horrible work. Missing screws that held components together...they guys I took it too all laughed at the work. That was my experience... would highly advise against doing business there. read more

I had my car brought in for a front end collision. Its back in the shop for a second time now because the didn't fix it right the first time. They keep upgrading the problems with it. Started as a ball-bearing, then a wheel hub, then they said that the transmission was bad and that rebuilding it was better than buying a new one. Now they said its not shifting right.. wtf! Its been in the shop for 4 weeks now. I want my car back. I don't recommend this shop to anyone. read more

Ok, I can see this will look HIGHLY suspicious, because someone else left a good rating today also, but I am a real customer! :) I was actually a little uncertain about using Pro Am, as I saw a couple bad reviews mixed in with all the good ones. But my insurance company recommended them and guaranteed their work. They would not guarantee the work at another facility I had chosen, so I went with Pro Am instead. I am so happy with the repairs--It looks like I have a brand new car! I had severe hail and tar damage. It was supposed to take 2 weeks to do everything. But they knew if it ran more than a week, I would need a car rental. They got it all done in only one week, so I didn't need the rental AWESOME! Thanks everybody! read more
