If I had left a review for pro barber before today, it would've been five stars. The gentleman who normally does a phenomenal job of cutting my hair wasn't there today though, and I received one of the weirdest haircuts I've ever had. I asked for clippers on back and sides with a fade, and blended into a scissor cut on top (I typically rock a combover). I asked specifically for Hana (not sure the spelling) to be careful with my receding hairline, which she was and I appreciate that. But good lord, the back of my head has never looked so bad. What in the world was she thinking? And how could it be SO much different and worse from my other experiences here? To the management, I recommend trying to find a way to improve consistency across the staff. I'm going to have to go to another barber to fix this, and I certainly won't be doing the 1.5 hour round trip from Rockville anymore. So disappointed. Edit: I just discovered that she absolutely butchered my left sideburn. Included a photo. Now I have to shave my beard, in the middle of winter. So so so disappointing. read more

I walked in and was greeted by every single barber and barberess, it felt so friendly and welcoming from the first step in the door. Though i can't recall the gentlemen's name, i can recall that he has now given me two incredible haircuts and experiences back-to-back. I can't speak for his peers, but i'm confident that their talents are at least on par by the ear-to-ear grins from the guests leaving their chairs. Really irritated. Not rating on service, but professionalism. I was in a time crunch. I called and asked if they had an opening or if I could make reservations. I made it very clear that I had no more than an hour to get my kids hair cut and needed it done today. I asked if they had open seats. She said. Yes. I asked again. I said I hear it sounds pretty busy, are you sure? She said yes. I got there 5 mins later. There were 5 people waiting and 4 people sitting in the chairs getting their hair cut. I figured maybe they were fast so I decided to wait. After 10+ minutes, they only finished one of the gentlemen in the seat. I knew I wouldn't be done within the time I needed to be done by, so I left. Why lie? Why say you have open chairs when you clearly don't? I asked for a low taper fade and received a high skin fade as well messing up my hairline. For reference I'm biracial and my hair is maybe close to an inch long. My hair is wavy but not long enough to actually curl up yet so there shouldn't have been too much of a problem when cutting. I was in town, having a big meeting next day but I had a big bush on my head, desperately needing haircut. and saw this barber right off highway. Pretty of parking space. I walked in and was greeted with friendly folks. Everyone said "hi". There were a few people waiting before me but I was served fast. Cut was excellent, very professional and with soft touch. I have rather sensitive scalp and I was well taken care. Nice scalp massage was a nice touch. Price was kit right and walked out feeling awesome. Great barbershop At the time I went with my 13 and 12 year old sons, there were three barbers. Very friendly! Don't expect to be in and out as they take their time to properly cut your hair. Gave the rating 4 of 5 due to limited of space and organization once the shop is full with customers as more customers arrive they depart believing is going to take a very long time. First time customer. Let me begin with the layout, they have nice new leather barber chairs, floors were clean and swept after every cut. There were a couple LCDs with CNN on in the background as white noise. The establishment is mostly asian women. Don't be scared; you're probably thinking, how the hell can they fade? Well, my barber was very firm with her hand, and was able to give me a 1/16" drop fade with square sideburns and an inch scissor cut off the top. The haircut felt like a 30 minute scalp massage. I went there to get my hair cut and ended up leaving with hella razor bumps from dirty clippers these people should have their clippers clean, trimmers, clean everything disinfected I have a brother who cuts hair and has done a way better job than this and it's not that much of experienced but I asked field as that these people should have their barber license revoked or shut down because this is very unacceptable an unhygienic. Phillip kills it, I know people get nervous if their specific person isn't there to cut their hair or trim their beard, but it's happened to me a couple times and they do not disappoint. Get what you pay for, I guess. Walked in and immediately sat me down in front of the first available lady. The rest of them were sitting on their phone while I asked her THREE times to not remove length from my beard. Proceeded to remove about an inch off it even after I showed her a pic of where I'm trying to get it to. Shaped the jaw fine but proceeded to go over my neck at least five different times with different instruments and nicked me at least three times. Easily one of the best barbers around here. Went in for a walk-in and was greeted by all the barbers there and had no wait. Read reviews about this place 5 minutes prior to coming in and was told Linh and Crystal are the go-to barbers, luckily for me Linh was free (chair in the back at the time of this review). Let me just say that for the price of a men's cut ($17 which seems to be the norm around here) it was very well worth it. I almost feel as if that they could easily charge more for what they offer (hot towel massage, straight razor). My cut didn't take too long although you can tell that they pay a lot of attention to detail as she was ensuring that my fade blended well and everything else that goes into getting a nice haircut. I asked for a medium skin fade, leave the top, and a lineup. The whole cut was CLEAN. By far the best cut I've ever gotten ever since moving to VA earlier this year. This is going to be my new go-to without a doubt. I highly recommend this barbershop. Just a little side note: What drove me to finding a new barber was because my old one, Van Dorn Barbershop, had given me a military high and tight with a mediocre line-up (they pushed my hairline back by a half inch or so and it almost looked as if I had to leave mid-haircut) when I had asked them for the cut that I mentioned earlier in this review. When I told them I wanted it to be fixed they said they would do it, BUT, they charged me for another cut after all was said and done! So that was $34 and two cuts within the span of a couple days. This is the best Barber shop that I have been to. Crystal and Lynn, in particular, do a great job shaving my head and trimming my beard. They are also a pleasure to talk to and go above and beyond. For example, while I was in the chair with Lynn, Crystal offered to brush my daughter's hair while she had a few minutes of down time. Came in today. Was seated at the seat at the end. Do not. I repeat, do not get your haircut from the barber at the last chair at the end. She will not listen to your haircut request and will constantly go over the same spots over and over as she is not confident in her skills. I do agree that she needs more training. My fade was not even in some areas and she could not line my hair up evenly, so now I'm here at home having to fix this. Did the standards to be a barber just go down the drain recently or what? I asked for a medium number 1 fade and got a high almost skin fade. In some areas along the back of my neck you can see a line in the difference of where the hair length is suppose to change.
