comparison of strands from the same point on my head on opposite sides - extremely uneven.
    Julia M.

*Disclaimer: worst experience of my life and I spent days crying. The salon offered to have me come in for a fix, but I didn't trust them. I normally don't use my real name on Yelp but this was so atrocious I'm willing to have it tied to my identity. I have been cutting my own hair for the last 8 years and decided to finally treat myself to a professional service. Honestly, my mistake for attempting that. My visit was a nightmare from the time I checked in. First, the stylist I originally booked with was someone I chose based on their listed experience with curly hair. He was unavailable due to a family emergency, which I understand. And I'm glad he could take the time off...but it was clear that reception was not expecting me despite never receiving a call to notify me it would be a different stylist or to ask to reschedule my appointment. Second, it was kind of them to try and squeeze me in but it was so clear that the stylist they dumped me onto did not have the time at all. Third, the consultation was short, my questions were barely answered, and he was uninterested in seeing the photos I brought in to show what I was looking for. Fourth, I have extremely curly hair and I attempted to explain my typical hair texture to him, but he insisted that "there's no way it's curly, I'd know if it was" after it was washed. Since it was clear he was set in his opinion, I went to find a photo of my natural thick and very curly hair on my phone and he was uninterested in seeing that as well. I should have just left at that point, but that's my mistake. I THOUGHT we had agreed on long layers with a few face-framing pieces but what I got was a 4-inch chop off the bottom with one blunt layer off each side of my head halfway up that I can only compare to a pseudo-bowl cut. My hair was thinned out so much that it barely made a bun on top of my head when I had a THICK BUN just the day before. It didn't look horrible when I left because it was blown out, but I said I did not want a blow out as I never wear my hair straight. This was yet another thing that was neither up for discussion nor worth the 1 minute of consideration. The girl who did it (she was lovely) could tell I was upset and even mentioned that the sides were uneven and she wasn't sure how to blow one side out properly because my hair was not cut based on the middle part I wear (this was also communicated to my stylist and halfway through I could tell this wasn't happening (pic below showing the uneveness of the two front strands), yet it was way too late so I just let it continue so I could get the h*ll out). I spent more time with the girl who washed my hair and the girl who dried it than I did with Chi, the stylist they passed me off to. I decided to go home and wash my hair to see what the damage truly was when my hair dried naturally. If you've ever seen the Big Bang Theory, I looked like a low-budget extra of Leonard after washing. Once curly, that weird a*s layer wouldn't fit back into my pony tail, leaving an ear-length bowl cut of curls sticking out (see pics below). When I tell you I sobbed for hours it's no exaggeration. I called the salon and left a message a few hours later and was told I could come back five days later when the original stylist returned. I asked to be called if there was an opening sooner, and I called more than once to periodically check, but yet again the communication was lacking. While they did offer a fix, their website states "Due to the nature of our services, NO REFUNDS will be granted. We stand by our services and will do everything to ensure your satisfaction." I'm really unsure how they could stand by how my hair was butchered so I opted to forgo the fix since the only thing that could be done would be to lose even more length and the only thing that would have made up for it was a refund. I literally cannot wait until this monstrosity of a cut grows out and had friends' stylists offer to try and salvage it for free. Safe to say I will never be returning. Aside from my atrocious experience, I believe it was Jack who gave my boyfriend a fantastic haircut. So 5 stars for him and thank you to only him. Book with caution and avoid Chi Elie at all costs if you have curly hair or you're looking for someone to listen to your concerns/requests.

That's how they do highlights. So disappointed.
    Julia K.

I came for highlights. After they colored my hair and washed it, I started noticing that something was wrong, because the women kept touching my roots like trying to find the color, I guess and then we went to the mirror to see the result (which I didn't see at all) and she was looking with a disappointed face asking: "do you like it?". After I asked why they didn't color my roots, she came with a hairdresser and he said it looked good and that's how highlights should look BUT if I want to, they can color my roots and I paid $250 for that. Just be aware of spending your money for nothing.

Booked an appointment online for colour & haircut online. When we arrived there was only the haircut appointment. Emma tried to see if she could fit us in regardless & moved some things around. My daughter's hair turned out beautiful. The salon was busy, so wouldn't recommend a walk-in for a service that took some time but would definitely go there again.

Listen y'all!!! I can't gate keep this amazing stylist, his name is Chi. It was my first time at this salon and I will for sure be returning to Chi! Also, shout out to Anne, she washed my hair too and she did an amazing job such a sweet lady. I came in literally ashamed of my hair because I have been dealing with super dry hair due to bleaching. Chi did such an amazing job. Not to mention, I have extremely thick hair and he slayed it!! He also gave me tips on my hair how to maintain healthy hair along with inexpensive solutions (we all know people try to upsell you). So ladies OR gents please hit up Chi to feel like a super model.

    Color, ombré, highlights, deva cut

Shawnna is amazing. She has been doing my color, highlights, ombré, and deva cuts for several years now and I would never go anywhere else. See the pictures for her amazing work!

This review is only for Emma and not the overall experience in the salon. I got a last minute appointment for a simple haircut and got Emma as my stylist. She was efficient, had a nice gentle touch, and she wasn't talking too much like many other stylists do (sorry). Very satisfied. Oh, you can't put a tip on a card, so bring your own cash. There's an ATM inside but of course you would be charged a fee.

My blow out when I got home

I usually don't stray away from my normal hair stylist, but it was close to the holidays and frizzles had good reviews, so I tried it out. When I got there I was greeted by Jack who took me to his chair. I told him that I wanted a trim and asked that he cut off as little hair as possible. I also informed him that there were layers in my hair. He proceeded to part my hair down the middle and then cut around the bottom. My hair was never sectioned off at any point throughout this process. He proceeded to put some layers in the front of my hair. Before he did this, I told him that I parted my hair on the right side and he said that it didn't matter. In all of 7 minutes, my haircut was over. He then left me in the chair to wait for someone to come over and blow it out. for someone to come over and blow it out. I sat there for so long that another stylist came up to me and asked if I was being helped. A nice young woman came over to blow out my hair but when she was finished, I was unimpressed. Jack came back over, cut some more hair in the back, and told me he was finished. There was no product put into my hair before he sent me off. He never showed me what the back looked like. When I told the person at the front desk that I did not have a good experience, she stared at me blankly and waited for me to insert my card without any sort of response. Naturally, my hair is very curly. Once I washed and styled it for the first time I noticed that the back was uneven. Once parted, you can see that one side is slightly shorter than the other. There are also visible layers on the left, but not the right. I tried to give his salon a chance and sent them an email but I guess my poor experience didn't matter to them, as I NEVER received a response. I will never go to this salon again.

This was before, hair was wet and I hadn't had it cut in 2years

Well needless to say, we will be on the hunt for a better spot- FOR SURE. Here's what our feedback was to the establishment since they asked, and I decided to share here in case it's helpful to anyone thinking about going here: "The overall experience was disappointing and did not meet the standards expected of a professional wellness or spa environment. The walk between buildings felt awkward and disjointed, and the areas where services were provided were visibly unclean. This immediately detracted from the sense of calm and comfort that clients typically seek when booking spa services. The sauna instructions were overly complicated and nonintuitive. Rather than supporting a seamless, stress-free experience, the setup required unnecessary effort and attention at a time when guests should be able to arrive, decompress, and enjoy the service. One of the facials was particularly concerning. The provider fell out of her chair during the session, left the room for approximately 15 minutes within the allotted service time, and complained openly about missing supplies that had not been ordered. Her presentation and behavior appeared impaired or otherwise not fully attentive, which was alarming in a setting where professionalism, focus, and client safety are expected. There were also sanitation concerns. Gloves were not worn during the sessions- in particular extractions & close facial work, which raised hygiene and safety questions. Given the nature of skincare treatments and direct contact with facial areas, adherence to clear sanitation protocols is critical. Both facials were performed below expected standards. Product application felt careless rather than intentional for both clients. Creams were applied in a manner that resulted in product entering the nostril area for both clients. In one instance, the technician had to awkwardly clean the inside of a nostril during the service, which was unexpected and uncomfortable (and something never experienced prior). In the other facial, cream entered the nostril and remained there throughout the session, creating concern about inhalation; the client ultimately had to clean it out herself after the session. This experience was distracting and far from relaxing. Additionally, massage and sculpting techniques reflected a noticeable lack of refinement and training, particularly for clients accustomed to higher-quality services. Overall, the experience lacked attentiveness, professionalism, cleanliness, and the level of care expected in a premium setting."

It was nice to seem to have the place to myself for a while before more people came in. This was also during the middle of the week, but by the time I left the spa was pretty packed. The heated pools on the first level were the perfect start to the day. My muscles almost immediately felt looser and relaxed. The massagers were a nice touch as well, just the press of a button gets jets of water shooting at your back. They have smaller pools in the larger one with hotter temperatures, and there are 4 on the side along the wall as well with varying temperatures. I enjoyed all the saunas with their various health benefits. The bar offered different frozen CBD drinks and mocktails. Kelvin was the man! He made you feel right at home, and I like how you can sample the frozen drinks. I got the Mango Guava CBD water, which has the same amount of CBD as the frozen drinks for half the price. It was refreshing, delicious, all with zero sugar. For lunch, I ventured to the 2nd floor and ordered lemon pepper wings with a side of truffle fries. Of course there was an upcharge to get the truffle ones. It was nice and hot, and very filling. I enjoyed the aroma room, immersion room, and peeks my head in the multimedia room. There were also numerous areas to lounge and relax as well. The third floor was the rooftop bar and outdoor heated pools. So I called them back and they told me that they had some sort of emergency and if I could come in at 4 PM instead. Thankfully, I was able to move some things around go in at that time. Once I arrived, I was asked to fill out a form that they would send me via email. I sat there for a few minutes until she did so. But moments later, the aesthetician came out and said that she is ready for me. I told her that I am still waiting for them to send me a form that I was asked to fill out. There seemed to be some misunderstanding or lack of communication between the front desk, person, and the aesthetician. I wish they had sent these forms before my appointment so I didn't have to waste time doing it there and cut into the time I was supposed to be starting the facial. I felt very rushed towards the beginning of my service. While I was filling out the form, the aesthetician (Darat) offered me some tea, which was a lovely touch. Then I headed in for my spa service. The actual facial itself was wonderful. One of the best ones I've gotten in a while. I told her that I recently got a nose piercing and to be careful around it as it is still healing. She was extremely careful and I felt no pain or sensitivity. She even threw in some head, arm and foot massages which I absolutely needed! It felt like a true spa experience. That is the reason I am giving it 4 stars, but docking one star because I wish the actual spa was a bit more organized in their scheduling and overall logistics. I think they have the potential, and I think I will be returning for another facial with Darat!

First time had to cancel as my husband and I had Covid. They tried to argue and I explained I would…read morebe happy to come in if they don't mind us infecting everyone. When they heard him hacking they credited our account. Second time, I actually went. Massage room was dirty. Floors looked as if they hadn't seen a broom in a week. Massage itself was borderline painful. I asked for medium and was sore for days. Because I still have over $200 to spend I made a third appointment. Woke up not feeling well (the universe is telling me something) and immediately called to cancel. An hour after my scheduled time someone calls and says they never got the message and need to charge me. Again, I say I'm happy to come In and infect people. Response: Let me look into this. Three stars because I bought a lovely smelling oil and receptionist was very personable. Don't bother going. I may let them keep my $200 which is saying a lot.
