This past summer I was looking for a contractor to paint all the exterior trim on my home. After getting 3 or 4 quotes from local contractors, I decided to go with Pro City Painting because their pricing was fair (least expensive), the estimator was friendly and answered all of my questions and they were responsive in setting the initial appt and following up when I had questions or concerns. Also, since several of my exterior trim boards needed to be replaced and re-caulked (which I did myself to save $), I did most of that work before they arrived to power wash the trim. However, I still had bottom trim pieces for the posts on our front porch to replace and caulk. They were willing to work around me as I finished my work so they could begin painting. The 3-man crew was friendly, courteous, flexible and open to feedback throughout the entire job. They finished the job in 2 1/2 days instead of 2 because I also had them paint my garage door, front door and the crown molding for our front porch ceiling. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is I did find several spots on the front door side light, post trim and garage door trim where you could see through the new paint color even after 2 coats of paint were applied. I'm thinking either those spots were only done with 1 coat by accident or the 2nd coat was applied too thin. The good news is they came back out to my house after I reported the issue and fully addressed it. They even let me keep the rest of the unused paint for future touchups when needed. Overall, our home exterior trim looks great now thanks to the guys at Pro City Painting! I'd recommend them if you're looking for someone to paint your exterior trim for a fair price using high quality paint (Sherwin Williams Duration) while doing quality work. I didn't need any interior painting done since I did all that work myself as well a few years ago. Thanks to Mike, Dave and all the guys I worked with @ PCP to get this project done! Can I select zero stars? First there was a schedule mix up- no big deal. 2 painters show up and get to work. They were messy (see all photos). Paint on white base boards, white door frames, over spray on floor, cutting looked like a kid did it, damaged our kitchen cabinet due to using the wrong tape, paint on our faucet and on light base near ceiling- which the one painter stated was already there, except it was the paint color he was using not what was already on ceiling. We were not asked what paint color we wanted on ceiling- they used a super bright white which is not whats in the rest of the connecting rooms. Our contract states that where there was a taping issue that tape would be removed and replaced. Instead they caulked the already problem tape and then paint over it. Many walls clearly did not have a second coat and some walls had no new paint on them at all. We called the owner, Mike, the next day to let him know we were not happy. He eventually came by and agreed that it was not done well and ensured it would get fixed. One painter shows up on a Saturday who had no idea what he was walking into. He asked us for a check to go buy materials. We then called Mike again- since his company was fixing an already botched job why would we pay for materials? Mikes response- "well I'm losing money on the labor." Yeah and that is YOUR fault NOT ours and we shouldn't be paying anything more for this mess! Let me be clear that THIS painter worked his ass off at trying to get what he could fixed. He was here Saturday and Sunday 8-6 but was only able to get the second coat done. So absolutely nothing else was done. Again- I am not blaming this painter as he really tried, but this was clearly for two guys, he clearly was not given any idea how much work he was walking into. Mike talked a good game about how everything would get fixed, this was clearly not conveyed to the person who was responsible for fixing it nor was it even remotely possible for one person to get done. Did Mike call to check in or stop by to make sure the job was fixed that weekend? Nope. It was so botched you'd think minimally you'd call to see what was happening. We haven't heard anything until I uploaded the pictures on yelp and WOW guess who is calling me literally with in minutes of me posting the pictures here. (Not Mike but someone else from the company). The pictures speak for themselves on the job that was done and we not only had to pay for more materials for them to fix their mistakes, we are now having to pay for someone else to come and finish the job. So unless Pro City wants to reimburse us for those costs....oh wait I wouldn't want them to be out the labor it would take to send a refund. When your crew messes up- your company eats it, not your customer! read more

Pro City painting painted our home 1 year ago. I recommend them if you need walls painted quickly or need baseboards caulked/prepped for painting. I would not recommend them for paining kitchen cabinets. They rushed through and didn't let the paint cure properly causing my cabinets to start chipping after only a few weeks. After calling about the issue a team was sent out on 2 different occasions to touch up the chips, but nothing was done to actually correct the problem. Instead, I was told that chipping was normal when cabinets are painted, which might be true after a few years but not after 3 weeks. In the consultation phase of this project, I was told that the cabinets would be thoroughly prepped prior to painting, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Extremely disappointed with the end result. Additionally, we selected Behr colors for throughout the home. While we were assured they could replicate, Pro City used Sherwin paint and it did not meet our expectations. read more

I tried to hire Pro City Painting some time ago. They came out and did a nice and complete estimate for some exterior work, so I hired them based on what I believed was a good estimate. We scheduled the day for painting but had to schedule because of rain. No one ever showed up on the appointment day, I called them around 9:00 am on the day scheduled and because of the forecast that day, we rescheduled. They never showed up for the rescheduled appointment so I called them around 10:00 am that day. I was told they were on an am job and would be to my home in the afternoon. They never showed up and I called again and only got voice mail. Instead they showed up the next day, no call, no appointment, no one at home. After that, they showed up one more time a few days later, again no phone call, no appointment, no one home. I have no idea what their work is like because I never got to see any personally. However, based on the fact that they can't keep an appointment, I'm thinking I'll do better with someone else. read more

Do NOT conduct business with them! Save yourself from the stress, headache and annoyances. The "leads" of the this company Dave Brumfield and Adam are the epitome of complete and total useless individuals. How can you run a business when you 1. Never answer phones calls (from clients and their own painters) and 2. Their phone mailbox is ALWAYS full. I recently and unfortunately hired them to paint my living room, dining room and kitchen and yes however they may have been the cheapest, you get exactly what you pay for. Sam the "brains" behind the operation double booked me for a date he suggested. On the day that we scheduled the job to be completed At 0900 no one showed up and I didn't get a call until around 12 in the afternoon pathetically apologizing that they overbooked me since they have so many jobs. I had to take off work 2 days in a row because of their oversight. Then they try to overcharge me because the "owners" aren't even fully aware of what type of job the painter is doing from our quote. The painter and I tried to handle the situation as we knew it wasn't the painters fault but he reassured me the two boys running this company are known for their disorganization and their ability to never be reached via call/text when it matters. The painter they had did a great job because that's his product I feel sorry for him that he works for such a awful duo. Please save yourself the headache and do not get a quote form them and do not conduct business with them. If their own crew backs up that these two guys are a joke then that there is proof enough that you should look elsewhere. I would give them zero stars but being as Thats not a thing, they can suffice with one. Dave and Sam are horrible to do business with. 12/10 will NOT recommend. read more

Pro City Painting (PCP) transformed my entire home in a matter of 9 working days. They showed up every day on time and worked diligently to complete the project the correct way without cutting corners (sanding, patching, and multiple priming/coats as needed). This was an entire home project that included detailed trim, 32 windows, doors, walls, staircase, bathroom cabinets, shelving, and crown molding. Every square inch of our home was safely protected with plastic, paper, and/or tape. Ernesto is an artist with his gift to transform an older home into a new home and his team is hardworking, respectful, and dedicated to getting things perfect. From a budget perspective they were fairly priced and that is the major reason why we decided to transform the entire home. Dave/Phil/Mike were a pleasure to work with; from answering all our questions, providing photos and references which made us feel comfortable with going forward with this huge paint job. Their quoting/invoicing process is so detailed; we were truly impressed! From a logistics perspective for anyone with a family that resides in the home and it is an entire home transformation, pack some clothes for a couple of days ( because they protect the inside of the closets from paint/dust ), and plan on eating out if your kitchen is protected with plastic. I started off with somewhere of 5-7 quotes and ProCity was the most affordable by a long shot for the exterior of my home. Despite the weather conditions, which postponed a lot of the dates from the start date. There were some hiccups with when the crew got here in the beginning, but Mike and Sam worked through them, it may have taken more time than I liked but at the same time you have to consider there was weather taking part as well as other jobs im sure he had to get done as well. There was suppose to be more of a crew and shorter period to get the job done. But once the right crew started on my home, they worked all day until the job was done 5 days later. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE the new look to our home. It was completely transformed from the plain boring look it had to a newly modern looking home. They also painted my 2 story fireplace. Sent 1 guy to do the job. He was very professional and pleasant to have around. Love the outcome, when I am ready to update the rest of the inside of my home I will call them back. read more

I had Pro City out to paint my kitchen, hallways, dining room, and trim. They showed up to the house and politely asked me if I'd wear my mask, which I really appreciated. They did a fantastic job, and gave great advice about future paint jobs. They were even nice enough to touch up a door I tried to paint on my own during quarantine. The job I did had streaks. He taught me that I should have used a roller, and he used the paint I had leftover in my basement and fixed the door. I was extremely pleased with their work. We weren't recommend your company to anyone because we had put in several calls to you after your crew painted with you not addressing the issues . We still have issues with the paint and once you got paid we feel like you just dropped the ball on us completely . Not good service at all and when you do a good job customers advertise for you but when you do a really bad job and can't call us back those words will travel quicker . Shame on you guys . read more

Pro City painted some interior rooms of my home and my home's exterior. Paint done to my exterior included painting my fiberglass front door, which came with a warranty for any bubbling that may occur. Once that did happen (within less than 12 mos), I called to get them to come back out to fix the door when they could. It has been one full year and I haven't received any acknowledgment from the owners of Pro City. Do not trust them with your painting projects. Their customer service is non-existent. read more

Since I left my origanal review I was contacted By Sam the other owner of this business. He was horrified by what was in my review and reached out to me to try to make things right. I explained to him all the things that I believed not to be right. He listened and apologized that things were not right. Sam made a appointment with me to finish the job and to take care of us having to do the work our selves after paying to have it done. I am very hopeful that all things will end well. Service with Pro City Painting started off great. I had a few complaints which they sent someone out to fix several times. On the last trip the painter backed his truck into my overhead garage door knocking it off the rollers and damaging 2 sections of the door. This was on April 11th. After being told they would fix the door I find myself 5 weeks later with a damaged overhead door which is barely operational and they will not return my calls. Sadly it appears this one will probably end up in small claims court. read more

If I could give this place a 0 star I would..... they canceled me 3 times the first because it was gonna rain (understandable) since they were going to do exterior painting. The second time we had to call to confirm and we were told that our house got pushed back another month because they had to do the jobs that they canceled before, even though we were one of those, so they re-schedule it again for 3 weeks from that date a Friday. The day they were supposed to come do the job nobody showed up, we called and called and nobody bothered to call back. Mind you that day was beautiful so the rain had no excuse this time. I called the owner that Monday and was told a lot of excuses (rain, other houses needed done before blah blah blah...) so if you want to deal with people and a company who doesn't value their customers or their time don't go to them, save your money and spend it on another company who actually cares to even call back. read more

Contracted with Pro City after receiving 5 different quotes to have my kitchen cabinets painted. A 3 person crew came and worked on my cabinets for 3 days. After finishing, I noticed that they had not caulked the insets for the cabinets and I was not happy with the finish. I called them back to review their work. They agreed that the job was not up to par and send Colin back to caulk, resand, and repaint. Colin did a great job and my cabinets look new. While I was not happy to have them come back, they honored their contract, and made sure I was happy with the outcome. I will use them again. read more

I would rate it higher if the foreman I believe his name was Michael didn't threaten to walk away from the job if I didn't pay for more paint. The job was estimated for a certain price and that's what was agreed upon. I don't feel since the job was under bid the customer should be responsible for the difference then be held hostage for the difference. Then the employee comes back with a bogus receipt trying to get over on you! Not a good practice in my opinion. read more

No response. 10:01 Called again and left message. NO response. 11:04 Called a cell number I found in estimate. Said I was scheduled and he will look into in and call me immediately. Never called back. 11:40 Called cell and left a message. No return. 1:30 TEXTED and never got a return call. 3:15 Called cell and got an answer and said they will call me back. 6:09 Finally called me back to reschedule for Thursday 11:00. ------------------------- Thursday: 10:19 Called to confirm 11:00 arrival to paint. Told he would call me back. 10:21 Called me back stating Painters will be there at 11:00 11:45 A pick up truck arrives with a women. She states she is her to check out the area to get idea of the materials needed and a check from me for the paint so the painters can come tomorrow. I said the painters were to arrival and start painting (Tuesday) now Thursday and when I rescheduled told them I was unavailable for Friday. It was my lowest bid of 4 painters. Pro city promised me a date in May and never showed up. They did this multiple times and kept promising me a date and never showing up. They never called me and told me that they were changing the date, I had to call them and ask them what happened and never showed on due date. Finally they showed up to do work in July. David gave a quote to paint the trim and replace some boards but Mike said it is not in the quote and he would not honor it. He started shouting in front of my house, I asked him to call David he never did. Very rude and poor service read more
