I hate leaving bad reviews but I felt like I needed people to know. The only reason this isn't 1 star is because I was told if anything was wrong, I could come back and they'd fix it for free. Also, this place was GROSS. So so so so dirty. I was given a gift card to this place for my birthday and heard great things but to be honest, I was DISAPPOINTED beyond belief. Everyone working was so unprofessional and just snippy. The girl who did my nails did them in less then 20 minutes. I asked for ombré and wanted acrylic, I told her I was going out of town. They were not what I asked for at all and when I mentioned to her that I didn't want them square and wanted then more round, she started hacking and filling them to be stubby and a weird round. I get that it gets frustrating when people critique you on technique or how you work on nails but this was ridiculous. I'm paying $40 plus tip and for someone to snap at me, I find that unacceptable. I left just annoyed and disgusted. I'm never going to go here again and I will be telling people how Profiles treats their clients. Please do yourself a favor and go to Luxury Spa down the walkway in the GCTC! Profiles is absolutely horrendous. read more

This will be the one and only place I will go to get my nails done. I see Torri and Amanda. If I wand basic stiletto nails Torri is your girl. If I want something a little more complicated or designs Amanda is your girl. I going to dozens of places throughout Southwest Florida Profiles is the place to be. You must schedule an appointment at least a week in advance because they get booked up. They also do hair and pedicures here. I personally love my nails they are durable and will last me a long time and what I love is if within a week or so if my nail comes off I can go back and they will fix it. The reason I gave it four stars is if you get a pedicure they don't wash your feet. Happy Designing read more

WORST and I cannot stress this enough, WORST customer service I have ever experienced. The receptionists are consistently rude in their tone and service. I have walked in 3 or more times and it is the same experience each time. No greeting when you walk in, they will watch you stand and wait at the front desk. When they approach you their attitude is as if you're begging them for something. I did a full set and before my nails dried the nail tech who was doing them checked to see if they were dry and smudged the polish. Not only didn't she not try to fix it, when I said something to her she acted a if it was me who did it. Everything was rushed. The only reason I am going back is to use my gift card. Shameful. My tech was a young girl with 2 years experience that never shut up even though my daughter and I were there together and tried to have our own conversation. The basic pedicure is just a nail polish change and I feel like I paint my nails better than she did. Just awful. Would have been nice to know a "basic pedicure" was just a polish change. My feet really needed a callus scrub which is included in any basic pedicure I've ever received. Any other salon would have informed me that I wasn't getting that and tried to upsell me to a better service when they saw the condition of my feet. All it was was a polish change and lotion rubbed quickly on my legs. I felt like I needed a pedicure the second I walked out the door. Not to mention how terrible the customer service was and all around lack of professionalism. The girl doing my moms pedicure looked like she was wearing her pajamas, which she confirmed when she told us all about being late to work because she stayed at her boyfriends the night before. I listened to the person talk my ear off complaining about her boyfriend and whatever else, while I was trying to visit with my mom that I only see a couple times a year. Just visiting the area for the day and decided to stroll around shopping and grab lunch. I was invited into Pro Files by Jenna who was very pleasant and offering. A promo for manis/pedis. I happened to be in need of a pedicure and walked in. Jenna told me she is new to this location and she did a great job on my pedi! Not a huge fan of the pedicure bowls they have, prefer the all in one setup however. I did the spa pedi and had a few special requests- she handled them with ease and was pleasant. read more

Nice people. Getting a facial- I didn't really get the relaxed or rejuvenated feeling I was looking for. I got a hand massage, that was nice. The products smelled good. But there was a steamer blowing on my face and I was uncomfortable because it blew steam very hot and hard on one part of my face- like my eye or mouth. The rest of my face got cold. I had to resort to moving my face around a lot to even out the intense heat, and could not focus on the hand massage I was receiving. Also the rock n' roll playing in the other room could be heard over the spa music playing during the service I also got a pedicure, it looks very good. She used the warm paraffin treatment which was very nice, but my feet fell asleep while sitting with it on and consequently I could not feel the foot massage she gave me when she took the treatment off. read more

I gave Pro Files a second chance At Gulf Coast. First they do not have a good selection of colors. They do not have the nail polish color selection out for customers to view so when you sit down the girl says "what color" and it limits your choices and pressures you to choose. They never disclose what brand they use and it seems like their polish is thick in their all "black bottles" That they probably refill With cheap polish. (just guessing). Because mine always chips. But what really did it for me was as I was getting my nails done by the really nice gal, and NO ONE else was there working or came in off the street, I got a emergency call I had a death in the family. So I had to leave to go and make plane rsvp. So my pedicure had to wait. My manicurist was fine, but when I got up to the desk to pay, Carol began to "SCOLD ME". "the next time you cancel you pedicure give me a notice, because I could of booked her and made money and now I am losing Money because of you". I was to say the least shocked she said that to me As a customer. At that point I did not even bother to tell her why. I just pulled out a $20 and said "Oh I don't mean to make my gal loose money and I gave her the tip" and Carol said NO don't give her the money, I am the one who lost the money. I just walked out. You know.... There are way too many Nail Salons to go to for me to be treated like that! I feel very sorry for my nail gal. But I will not go to a establishment who's Owner Act's like that. She really never was very nice anyway. And I can see that reading all the other Reviews I am not the only one who thinks that. And the place is a pig sty. And NO WALK INS should be a huge clue. It seems that none of the salons are sterilizing their tubs and equipment between customers. I've been to all of the nail salons at Gulf Coast center and thought that maybe since this was a salon I would have a better experience. wrong! I've been going to pro files for about 3 months and since day 1 I hated going there. They made me feel completely uncomfortable. They talk shit about customers that just left or bitch about whatever.. the front desk lady,manager,owner or whatever she is so damn rude! You walk into the salon & no greets you or ask to check you in. The only reason why I kept going back because the nail tech I go to does a great job but her attitude is horrible. The straw that broke my back is I made 3:00 appointment I got there right on time, I walked in and noticed the tech was still with someone else(not the first time this has happened). I thought to myself its fine she is probably finishing up(like always). 10 minutes go by and she still filing her nails..no apology, no concern that her appointment was waiting. I left at 3:20. Was in the area with a friend and she suggested we stop in and get our nails done. I normally have them done elsewhere, but I figured, why not? The place was noisy and crowded, and the chaotic atmosphere turned me off. Anyway, I waited (a long time) for my turn and watched as things happened around me. To be sure there is nothing wrong with a busy nail salon, but frankly, I felt like the techs were all competing for a table where they could do their clients, and I sensed a lot of tension between them. When it was finally my turn, the girl that took care of me did an ok job. She was fast and seemed a little rushed, and actually was texting while doing my nails. Not very personable. But in the end my nails were done ok. Maybe this kind of rushed and tense environment is ok for some, and based on the number of people there who seemed ok with it, it was, but it is not my kind of place. My friend did not seemed as bothered as I was, and when all was said and done, my nails looked ok, but I did not enjoy the experience at all, and I don't expect I'll return. read more

I moved here three years ago and haven't been able to find a good hairdresser so I end up driving super far to get my haircut which is super inconvenient. Heard good things about it but personally, it doesn't even cut it. Went there to get my nails done around May and it was downright awful. I got acrylics done (got a couple of small cheap gems) and my toenails painted (no wash or massage, nothing just nail polish) nothing fancy and they charged me $90. That is outrageous. The place reeked of strong chemicals and didn't look very sanitary at all. Didn't leave tips as they seriously overcharged and wouldn't explain why I had to pay so much. Never going back there again. I would rather go to a high end spa and get a full on package than pay for this scam. Waste of time and money here. read more

If I could give this place a 0 out of 5 stars I would. I went in to the gulf coast town center location to get a full set and was not seen until 20 minutes after my appointment was scheduled. Not sure what the girl's name was who was supposed to do my nails, but all I know is that she had either been employed there for 12 years or had been doing nails for 12 years. Anyway, I walked over to her when she was ready for me, introduced myself twice and she did not greet me or tell her name. She was very rude to her co-workers, one of the girls she was rude to, a blonde, was doing my friend's nails next to me. She had a really nasty attitude and was very short with me, so I asked her if there was a problem, she told me there was no problem without making eye contact and had a sarcastic tone. Clearly there was a problem, not sure if it was with me or her co-workers, but I told her I wasn't interested in having my nails done by her because of her attitude and left. I'd heard before from people that the employees here were rude, and she confirmed it. read more

Horrible experience for my wedding. Called got one price over phone but when all said and done it was DOUBLE the price. My toe nail chipped off by time I got home, the girl even redid it three times cuz she couldn't figure out how to do a French on my toes. Got full set and the nail fell off week later. i wish that i could give all the stars. i truly do. such a bummer. this place is really cool. absolutely gorgeous nails. here comes the however... i understand that to make nails as freaking fabulous looking as the ones you can get here it takes time. but really... it takes tiiiiiiiiiiiime. so clear your schedule. they say that all work is guaranteed. something happens- they fix it for free. i didn't realize it wasn't because they're indestructible. it's because they will break. often. every.single.time. how do you think it feels when your acrylic splits all the way down through your natural nail and you bleed? can you hear me screeching? yeah. and do you *think* i have time to like take up residency in a chair at profiles? no. i was a sucker for the amazing designs so i got pretty creative with superglue until it just became super frustrating and i soaked them all off. the indestructible gel polish for toes? ya. also "guaranteed". they put beautiful shimmery glitter that gets piled up on top with a glossy top coat (so pretty!). this top coat peels and you're left with dull spots contrasting with pretty shiny ones and your feet basically become a hot tranny mess. no bueno. for the money and time invested in nail fabulosity at profiles you should be able to at least enjoy them for a friggin' week. i'll say this: if you have a special occasion, photo shoot, event, etc- and you want some amazing super unique looking nails and toes to look great for a VERY brief amount of time- this place is perfect. if you want great looking nails and you live a normal life... have a job... touch things... etc... save the cash and go somewhere else. or buy those sally hansen strips (they're great!) read more

I've seen pictures on Facebook of nails and thought they looked great! I came to the salon today to get a full set and I have never been more disappointed with my nails. I've never gone back for a redo for ANYTHING before, but my nails were so bad I had to go back. Still wasn't happy with the redo, and I felt the stylist was annoyed and angry to redo my nails. I felt uncomfortable since I never get redo's, so I said it was fine and just left. It was $60 for a full set and it's the worst I've ever had. My nails are super thick and she never once asked me, how's the length or how does this look. So by the time she was done and the nails were dried, It was too late. When she did the redo, I felt she was disagreeing with me and she only fixed two nails when I felt they were ALL too thick and Mis-shaped. I will not be going back. read more

I was going here for over three years for pedicures and the occasional manicure for a special occasion. The last time I went, the nail polish peeled off my nails completely two hours after leaving. Profiles was closed, and I had a wedding the next day so I went to another nail salon and had to pay for another manicure. I used the same polish (I had taken my own to Profiles) and had no issues. I called, left a message twice and also sent an e mail via their website, and canceled my next appointment. No one has ever responded, no refund was offered or even a credit for a service. I think I just figured after three years something would be done. I never complain about anything but to me this is just poor customer service. I was not even upset about the manicure-- it might be that the base coat had an issue and that's no one's fault, but at least make it right or try to. That's the reason I won't go back and have found a new nail salon to go to. To me poor customer service is something that makes me want to go elsewhere. read more

I've gone here a couple times before for their gel nails and I figured since I liked those that I would like getting their acrylic nails. When I got there I have to wait for about 10 minute, which isn't horrible, but when I walked in the receptionist's attitude was less than desirable. Once I sat down the lady didn't even ask me what I wanted, the women just asked me what colors I was thinking of getting and proceeded to just grab a bunch of colors and started doing my nails without asking if I even wanted any design or anything. The woman doing my nails wasn't very good in making me feel comfortable either considering she felt it necessary to comment on how my hands were sweaty almost every few minutes. About 3/4s of the way through, a customer came in who was well beyond drunk. According to the nail technicians the woman has been a customer before and was plastered then too and they still let her come back! She was being loud and obnoxious and made me feel very uncomfortable, I found this to be very poor customer service because as I said before, I think it's crazy that they would let a customer back into the salon and because all the technicians were making fun of the woman the whole time which I found to be rude especially because they are more than willing to take her money. Once it was time to pay I was annoyed because on their Facebook it said that I could get $5 off my manicure if I got some kind of fall manicure, which I did, but I still had to pay the $59 that they usually charge for acrylic nails. When I told the woman checking me out that I only wanted to tip $5 (due to the poor service) the receptionist was like "only five?" which I found to be incredibly rude considering I had to deal with the horrible service. read more
