First experience with Pro-Form was absolutely phenomenal. I brought my ancient schwinn varsity into the shop in pretty decent shape and it came out looking like a brand new bike. Tom was so helpful in letting me know exactly what parts and pieces of my bike should be repaired / replaced to get her back in tip top shape. I took her for a spin the moment I came home and immediately blew a tire, and even though it was no fault of the shop, just some horrible luck, I called the shop and they told me to bring it back and helped me out no problem. Great experience with this shop last summer when in an emergency situation. Friend down from Toronto broke a spoke and needed fixing for us to ride that day. They took the wheel from him and within an hour had a spoke made up and fixed. May have seemed like a small repair, however they didn't have the length or type the wheels needed, so they custom made it and within an hour. Again, fairly small repair, but the speed, friendliness and helpfulness was fantastic. Amazing service on some adjustments to my daughters bike

Absolutely outstanding service!! I was in from out of town and had a freak accident where my rear derailleur snapped off and was beyond repair. The techs fixed my bike on the spot - new derailleur, trued the wheel, shared a local bike route and got me on the road in under an hour. My one and only experience with this shop was to inquire about how long it would take them to take a look at an issue I was having with my bottom bracket, and they told me right up it would take them three weeks. ???!!?!!??! I appreciate the honesty, but I have never been to any bike shop, even ones in larger cities than South Bend, that would expect any customer to wait that long for a bike repair of all things. I'd say take your business to somewhere where they aren't astronomically slow. read more

Great shop for high end cyclists, and for those who would like to be. I ride a vintage steel frame, and try to do my own work restoring others. I'm a beginner/intermediate self-taught bike mechanic. The shop has been great with issues that I did not understand, doing work requiring tools that I did not own, helping finding parts that I had trouble finding. They've been generous with information as well, sharing their love of bicycles. I cannot comment on the run or swim part of the shop as I've not shopped there for those things . . . read more

My first and last experience here was today. Went in looking to see if they carried Brooks England Leather handlebar tape. It would have been nice to just ask but the one person working the showroom talking to someone about seemingly unrelated things (as he was on his way out) never bothered to greet me. Instead I decided to just search the store myself. After walking by the lady and still no greeting, I was able to find they did actually carry it. The tape is not cheap as it is 75.00, and while I was going to purchase it, I couldn't believe the fact I still wasn't greeted or even asked if I needed anything or had a question. The lady then makes her way after she's done talking to the other customer and he leaves but begins talking to another worker behind the counter working on a bike again, completely ignoring me. Spending that much on handle bar tape was already a stretch but spending it in a place you're being blatantly ignored didn't sit right. I decided to leave and look elsewhere if not online for what I want. Even upon leaving I still was not addressed or even wished to return (as if the avoidance didn't already suggest that). Save yourself some time and go to Outpost Sports as I did and was not only greeted but given a lot of attention and information that helped me with more of my needs regarding my bike. read more

A very competent and friendly group of people. I was referred to Pro Form by a neighbor. I have done a fair amount of road riding over the years and was in the market for a tri bike. Ken fielded several phone calls from me before we even met and I never felt rushed as he responded to every one of my questions. My purchase (Cervelo P2) and fit were handled excellent! I required changes after my initial, preliminary fit (I have physical issues that make me a very challenging rider to fit). Ken literally spent an additional FOUR hours with me to get things to work for me. He was patient the entire time, never rushed me, and did not exploit the situation in the least . He changed out some components at little to no cost to me (he could have legitimately charged me). This shop stands behind their fit and can talk comfortably with any range of rider. They love to answer questions and really know their stuff. If you are a beginner: Go here and they will never talk down to you. If you are a high-end rider or Triathalete: Go here and you will realize this crew knows their equipment and how to fit. read more
