He said the sensors were off because of the sun/placement of the sensors and that door was rattling and knocking the sensors out of place. Vince replaced the rollers in the garage door and adjusted the sensors so they weren't rattled by the garage door. He was knowledgeable, kind and efficient. I recommend them!

I called on a weekend and asked if they could come on Monday as I didn't want to make someone come out on the weekend. They mentioned it would be a $95 charge to drive to Sacramento. When the repair person arrived he mentioned it was a long drive to Sacramento. If you don't want to drive to Sacramento, don't install garage doors here. It ended up being a simple fix: the sensors needed to be repositioned. The repair person explained it to me in a condescending tone and even said "it's not that complex". The total charge was $245, including the $95 penalty for living in Sacramento. I wish that the potential cost range had been communicated up front as it is probably relatively clear what the problem is when talking to a client by phone. At least I know how to fix it myself now.
