Lemme tell you! Ok so REI is obviously a great store. There are some things about them I can't…read morestand..:like when they get involved in political crap. That ruins the vibe for me for any business. It's still a great store, but people need to shut up with getting involved in anything that has absolutely nothing to do with sporting goods, outdoor activities etc or whatever their business is. REI is crazy expensive tho! Ooooh! So Al's just opened. I was sad to see the trampoline park close and leave. Sports Authority was at this location at one time too. Mittens was on the board, soooo...ahhh! Never mind lol. They closed. Sad. Anyway, finally a store goes in there. Obviously we are talking about AL's. This store is fantastic. I know it's going to be pricey eventually, but when we went in, the sales they were having were amazing. They had great prices on almost everything. With Christmas coming up, too, I'm sure their sales will once again be epic. They have all kinds of top brands. North Face, Patagonia, etc. Any place that carries Patagonia is ok in my book...even if Patagonia is another company that gets too political way too often. They make great jackets tho. I've had my R3 for like 17 years and still looks new. So walking into Al's and seeing they sell Pats, made me happy. Pats in general are very expensive. So if they happen to have these on sale, don't hesitant to pick one up. Same goes for a lot of the other name brands they have here. Great store for hunters, for anyone who loves kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, I mean, it's just a great store. I'm usually iffy on these chain stores, but I think this one is mainly specific to this area of the country, PNW, and obviously Utah and ugh, I'm sure California as well..at least Northern California? Who knows. Most people I know have already been. My hunter friends are in love with this place. They have gotten some insane deals here. However, if you haven't been, you definitely need to check it out...especially now that the Christmas season is like a day away from officially beginning. No, it doesn't start the day after Halloween lol. We got a few things here when we went. One thing was a flashlight. There was a guy in that section, wish I remembered his name. His main job is he's a fireman. I remember at least that much. This guy was such a great help. Knew the products well, super friendly, perfect teeth haha, and I mean, he was fun to look at. Sorry, had to throw that last bit in haha, because shiiiieeeet! Hahaha! Super nice guy. Everyone we came across that works there was great and eager to help. I hope this place succeeds. That spot it's in is a weird one. It seems to do good elsewhere and with Boise being a huge outdoor city, I can't see this place actually failing. I can only see it flourish and I hope it does. Check it out. Thanks for reading, YelperAl's!! Cheers!

We just bought a treadmill at Al's, and it was a nice purchasing experience. They have helpful…read morestaff, and the price was a bit less (for the exact same model) compared to the other stores we shopped. So now we have a treadmill, which will hopefully serve more of a purpose than just a display item in our family room. My cardio vascular system thanks Al's for being there for us!

I adore this Nike store. We've been going here for many years and managed to find so many good…read moredeals. The customer service is always great. I do wish they had a better variety of in-store, basketball shoes and a better woman selection. Overall, there is lots of things to find, and if you go there at the right time, you'll be walking out with some steals and deals. The quality is decent. Some of the clothing can wear out a little fast, but the shoes tend to last me a long time and provide comfort.

First off, I am not nor have I ever been a fan of Nike. I can honestly say, I have never owned a…read morepair of them. I had a pair of Nike sweats once, but they were a gift from my brother lol. Buddy of mine had some black Nikes on recently. My roommates pointed out that he really liked them. Asked my buddy where he got them, he said Nike at the Village. So the roommate and I ventured out to Nike at the Village. They still had the sneakers. Roommate didn't like them in person lol. He tried on several other pairs tho and in the end, couldn't decide on a pair. That's fine. I ALMOST bought a pair of gym shorts, but they didn't have any other color in this style other than red. That's fine. Shawn. Shawn is the incredible employee who helped us. He immediately came up to us like 2 seconds after we walked in. Quite a difference from my Foot Locker experience (that review is posted). Shawn just moved here from California, but we won't hold that against him, haha! He was great! Truly went above and beyond to help my roommate. Was super patient with us, with anyone who asked for his help. He is super friendly, super accommodating, and if someone annoys him (don't know if that's possible tbh), you'd never know. He seems to truly love working with the public. As someone who has worked retail and did so for many years, it's a tough industry to be in...especially with how entitled people are! And these days! Hard pass. Shawn tho, as mentioned he seems to truly love it. He's only been in the Boise area for a couple months and glad he's here. He is the type of person that makes this city better and certainly the type of guy that makes going to Nike..and enjoyable experience. He's a good dude. They're lucky to have him. Other employees I spoke to..super nice as well. One guy came up to me to say hi to my dog. This guy was soooo nice! Wish I got his name. It's always fun to see how people are around dogs :) I mentioned above that I've never owned a pair of Nikes, but if they had the right pair, I'd buy from this store. It was a better experience than expected. BUSY. AS. HELL tho lol. Memorial Day weekend plus it's in Meridian. Anything at the Village is always a madhouse. I like my sneakers to be bright AFFF! I'm so bored with black, blue, gray sneakers. So I started switching it up. Nike seems to regularly put out bright a_s sneakers lol. I just haven't found the style I like. When that happens tho, if they have it at this store, that'll probably be my first pair of Nikes lol. Whoever runs this store, is great at it. They hire the perfect people. Everyone there was so nice and welcoming and thanked you as you walked out. Foot Locker (see review if interested) they, all FIVE of them were in a huddle, goofing around watching their phones. Truly like night and day. I live in Boise and never went to Nike. Glad I finally went. It was worth it. Nike, good job hiring Shawn! He's a keeper. Thanks, YelpNikeees!! Cheers!
