His crew did an absolutely terrible job at my house and I mean like lawsuit terrible. They tried to leave my house acting like it was all done. Mike assured me the job would be professional. Showed up right on schedule, crew was friendly and got straight to work--first cleared out all the old stuff, cleaned and sanitized everything so it was spotless before blowing in a whole lot of fresh insulation in just two days. Installed this thermal barrier right under the roof too, and yeah, the attic stays way cooler now. Heater's off most days, energy bill's already dipped. It's a nice feeling to be pleasantly surprised, especially by a contractor. After 45 years, our house needed an insulation refresh and, as usual, I was dreading having to call companies, hoping I could find a good one that wouldn't charge through the roof and claim we "needed" every single expensive add-on available. When Mike showed up a few days after first contacting him and did his survey of our attic, I did not expect his assessment that "Your current insulation can stay in place if you want and we can just blow in additional insulation. It's your choice." I was surprised that he had offered a more economical choice, so I listened when he talked about why we might want to go with a full remove & replace, along with adding a radiant barrier to keep out the summer heat. When we received his quote the next day and found that even with the extras, it was within the expected price, we signed up to get it all done. (We plan to spend another 30 years here if we live that long.) The workers completed everything in one day, leaving our house clean, and when I peeked in the attic, I was quite satisfied with the work they had done. I suppose my only complaint - if you can call it that - is that they took two days to send us a bill. And this after they did the work without asking for a deposit! How pleased was I with the whole process? I have already recommended them to friends who are looking to get the insulation redone on their house. Making a recommendation is something I rarely do since I don't want to risk harming a friendship, but I'm pretty darn sure Mike and his crew will treat them as well as they treated us. read more

Mike and his team are very professional and did a great job on removing all old insulation and replacing with new. Mike's prices are extremely reasonable and honest. He doesn't try to upsell or quote you a steep price to start with. I've gotten quotes from several other insulation companies which all came in very high and then they try to get me to negotiate down so they can get the job which seems dishonest. Mike's team has been with him a very long time and you can tell they're very experienced. They even connected my bathroom fans' vents so cold air wouldn't come in the house as part of the project. The home feels so much warmer now in the evening where I don't have to use my heater. Highly recommend Mike and his team for honest and reliable quality work. Evelyn their office manager also has superb communication. She gave me the tax credit substantiation right after the team finished the project. Mike from Pro Insulation came highly recommended from a friend of ours and we are very pleased with his results. The difference is very noticeable as we had this done in early spring. The last few weeks as we transition into late spring / early summer, there is a stark temperature differential between inside and outside. From the initial meeting, writing up a quote with multiple options, to the installation, everything was done fairly quickly. The total labor took about 2 days for our average size (approx. 1600 sq ft) house. Mike was very reasonable with giving multiple options from the Premium A package and the the Tune Up B package to keep this project within our budget, as well as preparing proper documentation for tax purposes and increasing property value. The only part we were not too happy with was how messy the blown insulation is when they entering and exiting the attic. This is a minor issue as the attic is not very often accessed and blown insulation is just messy by nature. Nothing to the fault of the installers, just something to consider when choosing materials for the job. Overall, we are very happy with the results and there isn't much I can complain about. read more

He did not try to upsell us and even suggested we start with the most effective area (attic) rather than doing attic and walls at the same time. I was looking to replace my old insulation when I discovered ProInsulation. Mike, Evelyn, and their team were true professionals. 1. The team was on time both for removal and for the installation, which I had chosen to do on different days. 2. They were neat and tidy while doing the job. 3. They were respectful of my property while they were here. 4. They cleaned up at the end of the job so I couldn't even tell they had been here except that I had a fully insulated house at the end of the job. I want to apologize for my recent review. I looked for a way to retract it on Yelp, but to no avail. It is true that I was frustrated with the poor communication skills of the lead installer, however I must admit he was an excellent worker, having been in the business for 17 years. His co-worker however went out of his way to do everything I asked, and he even installed an attic light/fan above the shower from within the attic. They also did several other things outside the scope of our original contract, at no additional cost. Long story short, I do believe that the job was ultimately done well. Mike, the Owner did text me after reading my first review. He explained that his sister lives in a family owned cabin in Angeles Oaks, and has had to evacuate because of the fires. This has understandably taken his mind away from the operation of the business. Mike is a man of his word, and did everything he said he would, even more. I cannot blame him for not communicating, especially under the circumstances. Mike, please accept my apology. read more
