This nail salon is very accommodating and the people that work there are outstanding professionals. I was using another salon for awhile but the woman who took care of me told me she was leaving. I'm completely disturbed. I went in for a dip French manicure and it didn't seem like anyone knew how to do it until a lady stepped up and I asked her if she doesn't know how it's OK I can pick a solid color and she claimed it was not her first time and she could do it. Then I see her YouTubing how to do it which made me feel a little frustrated because I asked if she knew how to do it. So as a result I got an uneven French manicure and instead of cleaning up the file residue or leftover powder on the nails, she put a coat over it and you can clearly see it. I come back the next day to get it fixed and she did the same thing. Only took it off to remake it look messy and on top of that being rough with her driller and scraping the ish out of my cuticles :) I've been coming here since before they moved in to replace the old salon and now I'm never coming back. Went in to get a pedicure and stood there for 10 minutes waiting to just be acknowledged to tell the guy standing at the counter what I needed. He was reading a paper you can look up and just say hi or at least smile so people know you see them. Another time yes I did go back again. Same guy was rude again. I liked the design that I got in my nails which was a french tip. But something that I disliked was the type of glue they used for my nails. As soon as it was starting to dry, I could feel how strong it was that it started to sting my nail. I've been having these nails for almost a month and they don't come off and i think is because of the products she used which I don't like because i can tell how its damaging my natural nail. I would recommend them just changing their glue to something not as strong because it definitely damages natural nails! read more

Wanted a pedicure and gel manicure but Lux spa on Telegraph Canyon was packed so my husband found this place on Yelp because it seemed to have good reviews. Before arriving he called for me to ask if they accepted cards as payment and not just cash, and they said yes. I got there and told them that I wanted a nude theme gel manicure, meaning a light color on my pinky and then it progresses to darker colors. They said ok, handed me a paper to write down which colors I wanted and began my manicure. I was traded off twice to different girls without letting me know why. Then I was sat down to do my pedicure and a girl was working on my gel mani while this happened. The man at the front desk came over with a pen and paper and they discussed between them prices I'm guessing because I heard him say the word 'sixty'. But they didn't say anything to me, and he left back to his desk. Something seemed off so I asked the girl doing my mani how much a gel manicure costed. She said she didn't speak English so I called the guy over and asked him the price. He said 'a gel manicure is $30 but because you want a different color on each nail it will be $3 extra per nail. So $60.' They wanted to charge me DOUBLE the price of a gel manicure just because I wanted different colors?! $3 extra per nail???? That's insanity. I politely said could I please just have a regular manicure then with just one polish color? They didn't like that, and I ended up with a sloppy manicure :( then when it was time to pay I handed him my card and he points at their atm machine they have in their salon and he says 'can you take out cash please' I said don't you accept card? And he tells me 'cash is better'. I told him 'but my husband called earlier and was told that you accept card here.' He annoyingly took my card and charged it on their machine that takes card just fine? Like I was confused. While I was getting my manicure I also saw them ask another girl to take money out of the atm when she tried to pay with her card. If they want cash then why do they have a fully functioning machine that takes card? I'm sure they want to pay themselves out cash easily at the end of the day but don't bully grown women into taking cash out of their atm. I will not be coming back here again. Had I not asked the price of my gel manicure, no one was going to tell me the price increase because I wanted different colors. read more

We went there for a spa day for my daughter's birthday but the tech that was assigned to me was extremely slow and took me almost 3 hours for pedicure and gel manicure. By the time my daughter finished her mani/pedi my tech was still working on my pedicure. I get it she's probably new but I didn't get any sort of acknowledgment from neither the tech nor receptionist after expressing how unhappy I was. Other techs will come by and keep checking on us. i come here all the time, i always tip really well because i am in the industry and understand how much a tip means. today i went in, got my toes done and asked for just my cuticles to be cut on my hands. the man who is always in the front even told her i just wanted my cuticles cut which is normally 5$. the lady ended up giving me a massage as well and charging me 15$ for it. as i asked why he said it's because i got a manicure. when i told him he was sitting right there and i never asked for that, nor did the lady ask me if i wanted a massage/manicure he basically ignored me and started talking on the phone. I'm really sad this has happened because i have been going here for more than a year now. I don't like to be taken advantage of, so I won't be going here any longer because of the charging without asking, as well as ignoring me when trying to explain why i shouldn't be over charged. :/ read more
