Much needed update... 5 starz to my star manicurist Virgie. Virgie, my go-to manicurist, deserves a full 5 stars. Her exceptional service consistently surpasses my expectations, leaving my feet looking and feeling their absolute best. I highly recommend booking your next pedicure with her and treating yourself to a manicure as well. You won't be disappointed - her attention to detail and perfectionism shine through in every aspect of her work.

This place is very chic and has a variety of colors that you can't imagine. I always make my appointment with Anna. She is awesome, listens to what you want done and super fast. Her quality of work is high end and knows how to do nail art with almost any design you throw at her. Here you feel like you are in a high end salon. It is a little pricey, but of great quality and not every place has nail design experts, and this one does.

Came here for the first time after struggling to find a good nail salon not only in the Chula Vista area but in San Diego as a whole. The service is so kind and the atmosphere is so relaxing. I want to recognize Anna for being so gentle, caring, sweet, and genuine. She fulfilled my needs but also recommended what she thought would be best having me leave sooo content and happy with the results! Anna is incredible! I will most definitely be coming back!!

I originally came in to have my polish changed and a cracked nail repaired. Ana went above and beyond with her service. Not only was I in and out in 45 minutes, she took time to explain to me why my nail cracked to begin with. Highly recommended! Go see Ana!

I started coming to Boudoir Nails after the pandemic and have had great experiences with many of the manicurists--but Virgie is the absolute best! She gives amazing pedicures and truly knows how to care for my toes. As a nurse who washes my hands constantly, I'm especially impressed that my manicures last. They really make you feel pampered offering drinks like bubbly, white wine, beer, coffee, and fancy nonalcoholic options, which made the experience feel even more special. Ive been going here for over 3 years for pedi and mani. Virgie is the best, she is professional, attention to detail and a genuine person. Very talented with stubborn hangnails, nail designs and rejuvenating massage. I always leave feeling refreshed, relaxed and satisfied. My favorite thing about this gem is this nail bar doesn't have the harsh chemical smell of most nail salons, its always throughly clean and smells like a relaxing spa. She was extremely gently with my nails and checking in to make sure I wasn't getting hurt by the drill as she filed my nails which is HUGE for me. I've been going to this salon for probably close to two years and always have great experience! the two times that there was a hiccup the manager was very helpful and quick to get the issue sorted. they provide touchups if you have issues with your nails within 3(?), maybe 7(?) days and its so clutch. I only go to Anna and she is such a doll!!! I don't usually write reviews, but Boudior Nail Bar has been such a consistent part of our routine that it's worth it. The entire team there is top tier. Every interaction has been welcoming, professional and genuinely kind. The salon itself is also really well done. And from what I hear, Erika's mimosas are always on point. Jenny has been amazing. My wife has been going to her for over 3 years and it's easily one of the highlights of her month. She always comes home relaxed, recharged and in a great mood. What stands out most to me is the consistency. With her random crafting projects + life I'd expect her nails to chip but they never do and she says that is because of Jenny her nails always look perfect. read more

Boudoir Nail Bar was founded by a determined, wildly pregnant woman with a dream—to reimagine what a nail salon could be. Nora Neff didn’t just want pretty nails; she wanted an experience that made people feel confident, respected, and safe. After too many forgettable visits to salons that felt rushed, impersonal, and unsanitary, she knew something had to change. So she built it. In December 2014, two months after giving birth to her second son, Boudoir Nail Bar opened its doors with one mission: to raise the standard and create a space where beauty meets belonging. From our medical-grade sanitation practices to our signature beer and wine bar, every detail is designed to uplift, pamper, and empower. The wax application is done in large patches and not pulled in the direction of hair growth, which results in the hair not being removed from the root. This leads to an uneven and unclean finish. Unfortunately, because this has happened repeatedly, I will no longer be returning for services.

But since I don't go to her normally I couldn't help but compare her to my usual girl. Mind you I have been getting my lashes done religiously for 2 years now. Firstly, she told me I needed a new set (initially booked for a fill) to which I thought, "Fair, she's the expert, I'll go with her advice." She could've been way more gentle when removing the existing extensions. She pulled at the extensions and rubbed at them with whatever remover she used which irritated my eyelids. But I let that go because that part passed pretty quickly. Another thing I noticed is she didn't ask what shape or length of lashes I wanted. I'm used to being asked those things, plus if I'm ok with the length of extensions they're going to apply, etc. When I got home, however, I examined my lashes in the mirror and found that I couldn't brush through them. Somehow there was glue on the the tips of the extensions which I found weird. Also I noted during my appointment she had placed a full set in under 2 hours. Fast forward to today (1/10/23), and I finally got an appointment with my usual girl. She said the fans were unusually easy to remove, despite me washing them every other day and brushing them (when they allowed). She also said she could tell they were premade fans, which isn't always the way to go in my experience. The way they're glued together makes for a very unnatural appearance. She noted that there were multiple fans on one lash which weighed them down and she found a few that were stuck together. So all of this told me that it was a more rushed appointment rather than her being efficient. Overall, I'm not saying don't go to her or anything, I just want her to see this review and hopefully use it as constructive criticism and improve her techniques in the future.

Finally writing a review after coming here since December. I must start with the level of customer service. Never have I been to a nail salon where customer satisfaction is the #1 priority. A lot of places I've been to, don't greet you as you walk in or at the very least say "Good to see you again. Have a nice day" as you're leaving. At Boudoir, everyone is so nice and welcoming and personable. The owners, James and Nora are amazing. James is always walking around and chatting with customers, offering drinks and snacks and making sure everything is running smoothly. I met Nora for the first time on Sunday and she's so sweet! She too was conversing with customers, greeting people at the front desk and making sure everyone was happy. I always feel like I matter when I'm there, which makes for a better experience. When I'm getting my nails or toes done I want to feel comfortable and welcomed. I get all of that and more at Boudoir. My main issue with other salons is not feeling satisfied when I leave and a lot of that was due to the language barrier. I'm all about nail art. I like to look online for different designs. At other salons, there have been a few times I'd pull up a picture from my phone and ask if they could do it and would get an eye roll or a sigh or talked about in a different language. So to avoid confrontation I wouldn't even ask for anything more difficult than a glitter accent nail. At Boudoir everyone understands everyone. Their manicurists are capable of mimicking nail art from a picture and skilled enough to create their OWN designs. I love that they make sure during and after your appointment that you are 100% satisfied and if you're not, they do everything they can to fix it without the drama. I had an appointment this past Sunday with Jamie and she was awesome. There was an issue with the nail polish I chose. It was too light so I wanted to change it after two coats on five fingers. Jamie NEVER made me feel bad or gave me attitude. She was like, "You know what, this isn't working. Let's try something else." She was SO accommodating and patient. Ally (who is also awesome!) had some time between her next appointment and she saw that my appointment was going over a little bit so she offered to get Jamie's station ready and even prepped Jamie's customer while she finished up with me. After Jamie was done, she had me sit for about ten minutes more while she worked on her next appointment so my nails could dry properly. She didn't try and push me out the door before I was ready and she didn't make me feel like I was being rushed. When my nails were dry, she kindly and politely told her customer she'd be right back so she could walk me to the front desk and say goodbye. That is why Boudoir Nail Bar will have me as a customer for life, they make sure you enjoy your experience and leave a happy customer. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! The second you walk in you can feel the difference and from the moment I met with Nora, the owner, I can sense her passion for making my experience better then what I get from the chop shop nail salons that honestly are dirty and lack any customer service skills. I waited about 5-10 mins for my service which I didn't mind at all b/c I was able to have a mimosa and look at all their polishes and nail art on their FB and IG. Once I sat down with my nail tech (don't recall her name but she was fun and easy to talk with!) I knew she could tell when I wanted to chat and was super easy to relax but also socialize. She did a consultation with me on my nail needs and went over pricing (NO UPSALING!!). I LOVED that a bartender came and promptly asked me for another drink which I declined and decided to go with a coffee from their state of art coffee machine that I saw which was also at my BMW dealership... it's sick b/c you can do bunch of lattes, expressos, and taste yummy! By the end of my service, I paid $35 for my full set + coffin shape & $20 more for gel (choose from Young Nails which if you don't know is TOP SHELF gel or gellish, CND/Shellac which are also much better then knock offs. I LOVE MY NAILs! But the experience was well worth the extra $10 I spent opposed to going to smaller salon. Lastly, I have to tell you that they actually use barbicide in their sinks and let soak for 10 mins before each service even though their sinks only take water in and out (doesn't get trapped in whirlpool machine)... this is a HUGE plus for me b/c I have a young daughter that I will be taking and having peace of mind knowing they are actually sterilizing their tubs is awesome. They also use a medical grade autoclave so all their metal tools get 100% sterilized too. When was the last time you EVER walked into a nail salon and saw barbicide in their tubs? I only see towels b/c supposedly they use reusable bags but still, I don't trust b/c I've personally had nail fungus in the past b/c they don't properly clean and sterilize like Boudoir does. First time I came I met Nora the owner and her husband James... this was few years ago when they first opened. I remember how passionate they were about changing nail salons in SD but only after revisiting 2 years later then I realized how serious they were. This place just gets better and better. They now have a FULL beer and wine bar with VIP lounge area for celebrate occasions or have your spouse hang out in while you get your nails did. Lol... GREAT prices - honestly - compared to the holes in the wall, I don't know how they keep their prices this low b/c they are not much more expensive then salons I've been too and compared to fancy places they are actually cheaper and EVEN MORE fancy. Lol... I love the time my nail tech spends with me making sure she understands all my wants and desires where other places seem to already know as if they can read my mind and then my nails never come out as I thought they would... plus, Boudoir seems to actually care. For example, another client came in while I was checking out and mentioned she chipped a nail... after listening to her story, I didn't think it was the salons fault but Karen still made time for the lady to get her nail fixed right away. Not sure if client paid the $5 for nail repair as stated on menu but what was awesome was how arms wide open Karen was in helping and showing empathy. Most places I've been to I'm too afraid to say anything b/c they roll their eyes and start talking in a different language. Boudoir also has a gel guarantee for 12 days... thanks Boudoir! Before going to Boudoir I was skeptical because although majority of the reviews are on fleek I also read some of the constructive ones and some that you can tell the clients are just haters...in the end I realize there's always going to be haters everywhere and I also realize nails are finicky so I gave him a chance and to my satisfaction I am now a Boudoir client every 2 weeks with a 40 min drive, so worth it! Karen and Ashley at the front desk are always super cool and no matter how busy they get, both find time to either return my call or make sure I'm happy before I leave. I've seen this place get crazy busy for the holidays but no matter how busy they get I feel like my attention is theirs and vice versa! (Note they have a policy to interact with clients so if they don't answer, leave a voicemail and they will call you back ASAP). I think for yelp reviewers it's important to know that clients have to be cool and just as welcoming as the establishment they are visiting. I know at times I have been less than professional because of being dissatisfied with the service or product I purchased elsewhere but if you give Boudoir a chance I promise you they will do what it takes to earn your business as long as it's within reason! If you read through their website and follow them on social media then you get a real sense of how many happy clients this place has and I know they're working hard because I see it every time I go here! I've been coming to this salon for over three years, and it's truly the best! Erica does my nails, and she's absolutely amazing -- friendly, professional, and always so detail-oriented. My nails always look perfect and last beautifully. The quality of her work and products is exceptional, and she always makes me feel so comfortable and cared for. I also see Erika for waxing, and she's just as wonderful! She's gentle, thorough, and makes the whole experience quick, clean, and easy. It's so rare to find a place where both services are consistently top-notch, but they truly deliver every time. The salon itself is elegant, spotless, and relaxing. Cleanliness and hygiene are clearly a priority here, and it really shows. The ambiance is calm and classy, and the entire team is respectful and mindful of appointments. I'm not going to lie the prices were pretty intimidating and I was nervous to schedule here but My experience here was a 10/10.. from calling to see if they had availability to my check out! I called to see if they had any walks in available and was told they did, so reception (I forget her name) but me down and we were ready to go. I was then met with Anna, super sweet, listened to what I wanted and from there we were doing my nails. She could tell I was pretty indecisive while she was putting on my acrylics that she had told me "please let me know if you want to change your nail design". We both agreed on something and she thought it would be super cute to do! I told her the exact shape and length & my reasons why I wanted what I wanted and she didn't try to tell me otherwise. There was no back and fourth with "can you please go shorter" something I always felt like was an issue at other nail salons. That definitely wasn't the case here! We were done within an hour and I was sent to Allan for a pedicure! He took his time on my pedi and even when there was a small mistake he fixed it and my nails came out great! I've been coming to Boudoir for the last six months and can tell you each and every time I'm there how much of a difference this place is compared to all the smaller salons that I have frequented in San Diego. I must say the Decour is super chicy and the ambience is awesome but the key differentiators is the fact that I can choose to speak fluently in English or Spanish or choose not to engage with my nail technicians if I want to relax. They have several nail techs I love but all seem great!). And hers the key - whenever I have an issue with my nails, the front desk and the owner Nora are always arms wide open instead of making me feel like I did something wrong... come on girls, don't yelp this place negatively u til you give them a chance (have read some crazy reviews, really?!) The cleanliness is also a huge plus in my book because I never know what else I'm gonna get with my manicure when I visit other nail salons. An added bonus is having a bartender serve me while I set in my chair and await my service to be completed. My daughter was turning 10 and I wanted to throw an extra special birthday party for her abs her girlfriends. My daughter has always loved going with me to get her nails done so I thought a nail salon birthday party was an amazing idea. I looked around San Diego for a nail salon with enough space to hold the entire group, it was nearing 20. Boudin Nail Bar was the only nail salon that was big enough to handle our group. Not to mention that they specialize in group parties and events, something not a lot of other nail salons in San Diego advertise. I came two weeks before the party and met with Nora, the owner. She was amazing. We sat together for two hours and planned out the whole party. You could tell she was genuinely excited about the party, like she was planning it for her own daughter. My sister brought me here for the first time over the weekend. I live up in Del Mar so I rarely venture down south to Chula Vista unless I am going to Rosarito, and even then I am not stopping, I am driving right through. Needless to say I am going to be coming to Chula Vista more often, to come to Boudoir Nail Bar. This place is amazing! I am actually upset I never knew this place existed until now! Right when I walked in the door I knew this wasn't your average, neighborhood nail salon. This nail salon had it going on. The inside was so cute and I absolutely loved the decorations! All the nail stations looked super clean and I didn't see any dirt or grime anywhere. Even the bathroom was spotless and decorated like the rest of the salon. My sister and I had a few drinks and got our nails done. We gossiped with each other and our nail techs who were extremely friendly as well. It was an amazing time all together. After seeing a friend's beautiful nails, my mind was made up, this was the nail shop I was going to. I read some of the reviews before booking my appointment online and regardless of many negative experiences, I booked it anyway because I wanted my nails done the way I wanted. My experience was absolutely wonderful! I saw Thuy and she was awesome! She shaped my nails exactly how I wanted and Jen did my designs to perfection! The pricing isn't bad as long as you know what you are going in for and they tell you the prices up front so there are no surprises unlike every other nail shop ever. I was a little shocked it costs $20 for gel polish as opposed to the normal $10 but it was worth it to have the Instagram post worthy nail shape and design I left with. My girlfriend works as a nurse at Sharp hospital, so needless to say she has had a stressful year of work. Her birthday was coming up and I wanted to do something special for her. She loves getting her nails done and she has been complaining for months now about all the nail salons being closed. One of her friends called me a few weeks ago and told me that Boudoir Nail Bar, my girlfriends favorite nail salon in San Diego, had opened back up. I immediately called them up to see if I could schedule a time for my girlfriend to come in for a birthday surprise nail treatment. Nora took amazing care of me and was able to set everything up for my girlfriend and her mom to come in on her birthday for a manicure and pedicure. Her birthday was this past weekend and my girlfriend absolutely loved her long awaited return to her favorite nail salon. Absolutely obsessed with my experience at Boudoir Nail Bar! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was so modern, clean, chic, and welcoming. The service was beyond amazing -- everyone was so kind, attentive, and made me feel completely pampered. My nails came out PERFECT, with incredible attention to detail and such beautiful work. Huge shoutout to Nora, the owner, for being so friendly, welcoming, and genuine. First ,let me start by saying this place is amazing , the atmosphere great, the customer service they offer makes u feel like you are stopping by at a friends house, the decor is beautiful makes you feel like a princess,and everyone is just amazing ! I always get my gel mani with jen and paulina , ive been doing IBX for the past 6 months or so it has enhanced my nail growth and strength . I LOVE it . I wish i could book my appt. in advance but with my busy schedule its so hard to do so ,but ill tell you this Melissa in the front desk seems to always find a way to fit me in either last min or a day prior with my fav nail techs . I would recommend this place to anyone , specially now that they have a full bar Mimosas are the best . Will def continue to come back . This is and will be my to go spot forever! read more

Whether you are trying to throw a full on nail bar party, or just need a simple manicure or pedicure, Boudoir is first and only nail salon I go to in San Diego. You really can't find anything else like Boudoir Nail Bar in this city. The quality and experience of their nail technicians are unmatched. They really only hire the best of the best. I don't even have a favorite any more. I like switching it up each time because it is always fun to talk to someone new. The owner, Nora, is usually working. She is the best! So friendly and outgoing. I could chat with her for hours. Sometimes I will get an extra service just so I can stay a little longer. Boudoir has became my sanctuary. I am addicted to getting my nails done. I actually I should say I'm addicted to getting my nails done at Boudoir Nail Bar. It is much more than just getting a manicure or pedicure, it is the ambiance, the vibe, the gossip, everything about what goes on behind the doors of this nail salon. It is like walking into my own little women's club when I come here (well its not really little, the place is HUGE). Everyone knows my name and what is going on with my life. They even remember my birthday and anniversary. It is the kind of personal attention that I really appreciate. It is like I am a member of the Boudoir family, not just another client coming in to her her nails done. I couldn't imagine going to any other nail salon in San Diego. This has to be one if the easiest 5 star reviews I have ever written. Seriously, this place is amazing from top to bottom. From the decor, to the staff, to the level of service that offer, it all far exceeded my expectations when I came here for my best friends bridal shower this past weekend. We had rented a limo and had already been drinking champagne before we even arrived so needless to say we were all feeling good. Throw in some drinks and a group of girls who haven't been together in a long time and it can get a bit loud and rowdy. We never felt judged or anything by the staff or any of the other patrons who were there. It was such a warm and welcome atmosphere. Everyone was there to have fun. It was a blast! Nail bar is the right description for this place. It is much more than your simple neighborhood nail salon. This is a nail salon on steroids. Getting my nails done is entertainment for me. I don't want to go to some hole in the wall, I want somewhere exciting with lots of activity. That is why I go to Boudoir for my nails and spray tanning. Sometimes I come by myself but usually I venture over here with a group of girlfriends. It is so much fun. When we were younger we used to hit the bars in downtown but with kids and everything we don't have time for that anymore. Boudoir has become our night out on the town you could say, and I prefer it to any club in the Gas Lamp. Drinks, nail treatments, and spray tanning, what else could a girl ask for? read more

Boudoir Nail Bar in Chula Vista is definitely one of the best nail salon in all of San Diego. I first discovered Boudoir Nail Bar when a friend had a birthday party here a few years ago. I was absolutely blow away with how massive their location is. I was used to the neighborhood nail salon with a few chairs and nail techs. This place is so much more. From the elaborate decorations, to the quality of the nail stylists. Once you come here you will never be able to go back to some regular nail salon down the street. Unfortunately I moved to Hillcrest a few months ago but I still refuse to go to any of the nail salons up in my neighborhood. I will drive all the way down to Chula Vista just to get the Boudoir experience. It is well worth the drive! read more

This place is definitely a quality place. I have tried it a couple of times with different techs and I have to say, in my opinion Anna is amazing and the best fit for what I need! I get acrylic on my big toe for a more luxurious look, but not everyone can do that, some techs can make it look too bulgy, but not Anna. I cracked my left big toenail moving furniture, and I can't even tell my toenail was damaged. I like short nails with coffin, or almond, and Anna nailed it! Again, not everyone can do that and still add design. The place alone is very clean and elegant. Need I say more- it has a bar as well! Everyone is always friendly, this place is great. You pay for quality, so it does come with a quantity, but it is totally worth it! read more

Say what you want, but I don't see any reason why men aren't allowed to get pedicures or manicures. No one likes nasty hands or feet, both men and women should get a manicure and pedicure every few months. I have been getting my nails cleaned up ever since I was in college when my girlfriend took me with her to the nail salon. I have been slightly addicted ever since. It is a relaxing experience for me. It gives me time to unwind and get my mind off of my stressful job and everything else going on in my life. I would compare it to meditation. Boudoir Nail Bar has been my favorite nail salon in San Diego for a few years now. The quality is just so much better compared to all the other nail salons near me. read more
