I love their service! The quality of work is amazing! I drive from mission valley to this spot because I love it. I always get my pedicure done as well. All the workers do amazing work, not just one. My favorite part I love is that it's small and relaxing and really feels like a spa. It's not loud which I admire because I love to decompress when I am getting my nails and pedicure done. Great prices always too!

Daisy is the best! She can do any design you come with, and is so creative with the her own as well. Must go! Prices can't be beat either.

Hidden gem alert. I booked Package #2 (Best Seller) and it was pure relaxation from start to finish. The scalp massage and shampoo were amazing, followed by a facial steamer, hot stone neck/shoulder/arm massage, and a hot towel press that had me completely melting into the chair. I walked out feeling refreshed, glowing, and tension-free. Don't let the location distract you -- everyone was professional, attentive, and truly focused on the experience. Holly and Hannah are my go to girls. Holly always does an amazing job with my acrylics. She pays attention to detail and at this point knows what I like. Hannah is fantastic with my pedicures. She makes sure I'm always comfortable and satisfied with the outcome. Both of them really go above and beyond on a regular basis. The nail salon is small and quaint. worst customer service ever!!! I will never go back!! I went in today to get a French tip pedicure and when I asked if she can fix one of the toes that didn't look good she raised her voice and said "No I am not going to fix it, if you want you can leave and not pay". I told her I already paid 48 dollars. I came to relax and have a good time getting a pedicure but instead I left very upset and disappointed with the customer service and the entire experience. read more

Horrible experience Three of the workers were loud, couldn't understand what they were saying but sounded like they were arguing and making fun of someone. The other workers were rolling their eyes. I really like coming here for a gel pedicure only. I don't schedule an appointment, but as a walk…read morein I usually get lucky the quality is consistent. I pay $45 for a basic gel pedicure. Today, the quality was lacking but I know that's not usual. I was quoted a 15 minute wait time and waited 25-30. They were really nice and gave me water. I also had to have gel paint removed from my toes, so that took an extra 10mins (no extra charge). Although, the menu says a pedicure is 25 mins, I was there an hour not including my wait time. In the end she didn't massage my legs or do lotion, just some oil and a hot towel. They didn't even help me put my sandals back on, she just went straight to the desk to wait for me to pay. If the pedicure process has changed, I'd prefer the menu description options reflect that. I noticed a difference in customer service as time went on and I declined a manicure. Oh well.

I did mention that I was dissatisfied before I paid and was offered a smol credit towards my next visit. I feel terrible writing such an awful review of the place because they are very highly rated (which is why I paid a visit) but I have to speak my truth. And the aim of this is to bring an awareness. I've been going back and forth about leaving a review this whole time. I'm disappointed. I expected more. I'd like to return because I AM impressed by their lineup of services offered/the cleanliness and everyone is friendly. With that being said, why wouldn't they have an exclusive lineup of highly & dynamically trained/skilled nail technicians performing services that will uphold the caliber of business The Beauty Plug aims for, on hand, for walk-ins and appointments alike... especially on weekends. thank u, love u. I received a Gel X Full Set w gel polish + "a design" - which was airbrush ombré with an outlined tip & a Gel Pedicure. - Gel X application glue was left with a lot of space where my natural nail was exposed under the gel x nail. If you know gel x you know what I mean. - Blotchy clear coat; not one nail has a smooth clear application. - Crooked nail application on my thumb. - No blending of the nail extension edges to my natural nail. - No consistency in size and placement of the extension. (Some are further over with my real nail exposed.) - After one week most started lifting from my nail bed. - Another tech had to pull away from her client to do a part of the service mine wasn't educated on. *COMING BACK TO MY DRAFT TO SAY THAT A FRIEND TOLD ME IT LOOKED LIKE I HAD PRESS ONS* I wish I took pictures. But I had to get them thangs off. Those pedicure stations are very aesthetic but not made for luxurious comfort. I asked for her to trim my toe nails during my pedicure and she butchered them so short when she got to filing it started to be painful. Ending to say that I don't think this place is worth avoiding altogether, but I wasn't impressed enough to make it somewhere I frequent for nails because of my experience. Other services of theirs caught my eye too!

The ladies who did the services were okay and polite, but the overall service was not what I would expect for spending $120 on fills and a pedicure. Also, if you walk in and ask about the wait time, be prepared for much longer than what they tell you. I was told 20 minutes and ended up waiting over an hour. Overall, not the experience I was hoping for, especially for the price.

When I looked at my hair I seen black spots, she started laughing and said "sorry girl that's your hair it didn't grab there" I told her I need it fixed she said not today. I called her same day I left and she asks me to come back 4 days later to fix. I had to go to work with the horrible hair color. When I asked her if she can fix she said yes but I'll have to charge possibly, I will need to speak to my boss. This is horrible, the right thing to do should have been to correct the color to make the client happy and not keep looking like a clown. No respect nor consideration. She took the money but never offered to make this issue better the day of. She also cut my hair, horrible didn't even part, literally cut straight across. Horrible person, says she been doing hair 10 years. IVY needs to go back to school and learn to cut, color and make her customers happy. They do a really good job here. This has been my go to place for almost a year. Very affordable unfortunately when ever I make an appointment I still wait almost two hours. people that did not have an appointment sometimes even go before I do. I recently went and made an appointments before I decided to go to avoid a wait when I got there it was obvious they were very busy so I waited. I was then sat down about twenty minutes after my appointment and then I got moved to do my pedicure but waited another twenty minutes until someone started when I was already sitting down and getting my finger nails done. I'm giving daisy 5 stars because she is absolutely amazing at what she does I've been going to her for almost 2 years now and now she has her own shop with reasonable prices she always tries to fit me in whenever possible even if its last minute. She never let's me down if I show her a picture of what I like she does her best to do it exactly like it or as least close to it. Everyone is so friendly there. I had an appointment with Daisy to get a full set and a soak off from an old one; and she took great care of me. She was very gentle and sweet, and made sure I was comfortable with my nails. I asked for a short, nude powder set and I got exactly what I asked for! The price is extremely reasonable and I even got a receipt for 12 days after, in case something happens to my nails.
