I was on a work/vacation trip with my husband and was unable to get my nails done before leaving home (Kauai), so I thought I'd just get it done when I'm in Cookville. I absolutely love this place, the owner mentioned she's only been running this store, maybe a few months, but I adore her and her crew. I'm very picky and ocd, and she has exceeded all of my expectations. The crew here is soft spoken, kind, respectful, and welcoming... sometimes we talk talk talk and have lots a laughs and sometimes I just sit here in peace, depending on how I am feeling that day. Cherry is VERY advanced with nail designs and is always up for my challenges, she NEVER tries to change my plans or talk me out of challenging ideas I've found on Pinterest, and I love that about the crew. This nail place has allll the colors, and they are always adding more, they do DND colors, they do chrome finishes too, which is my favorite. Not even bothering to lotion, the polish looks awful they hit your legs and if you say anything they do not understand you and continue to do what they want! I know four women these guys have CUT, made bleed, one new guy is horrible at nails Alex I believe is his name, shame on me if i am wrong but be cautious of him he cuts even with the file, his french tip looks awful and his dip nexgen is extremely lumpy. Brandy/Sarina does a magnificent job!!!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]but due to the new guys and Chery pushing customers on them! A dip refill and a plain pedicure was what I requested. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I made an appointment and was taken immediately by the gentleman at #8.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked him to push back my cuticles to which I believe he understood and chose to ignore my request, as he said "yes" when I asked. I wanted him to file down another place but he "knew better than me" and didn't do it and showed me that it was fine. I asked him to shorten my nails, as I have a lot going on now. Tomorrow is one week and 5 are totally broken and I've had to file them down. I've been wearing dip for the past 8 years and nothing close to this has ever happened. I rarely have a broken nail. Additionally I had to pay more. I am moving from another state and looking for my "place". I go religiously every 2 weeks. In the past 28 years I've only had two manicurists and that was because I moved twice. I'm an easy client. This will not be my place and I can't recommend it.
