I am used to most places around here not honoring apt times and always having you wait because they are behind. I made an apt for 4PM, walked in a couple minutes before 4 and they were ready for me. Immediately began my pedicure. The lady that did my pedicure did an amazing job, paid attention to detail took her time and did rush through it. Great massage included hot towels. I have gotten my nails done at this nail spa for a little now and I seems to always have something happen. This time I had a nail pop off about two weeks after getting done and noticed that there was fungus. I didn't think anything about it and thought no big deal I have fungus oil. Well the next night I had another pop off and another nail had fungus so I popped all of them off and all of my nails had fungus under them. read more

I like this place, they take walk-ins and it isn't loud. They play relaxing music and it's mostly quiet. It's a larger place so lots of staff. Everyone is nice and professional. I've had acrylics done with gels and they lasted until I needed to get them redone. I like to not have chipped, cracked or peeling nail polish so this is the only option for me. I am very disappointed in the service that I received today. The man that did my service was not a very nice man. He argued with me that I had tips on and I don't have tips on at all. And my nails are rough and have holes on the sides. He was arguing with me about my nails. And he didn't even care how they came out. I am so disappointed with this company. My daughter had her nails done here. They were all crooked. When she asked for them to be fixed they filed them down so far that you could see her real nails on the sides of every nail. The girl was on her cell phone the entire time. When we complained they told us all the reasons we should like them. We will never go back!! read more

I called TWICE to CONFIRM my APPOINTMENT i was not a walk in, okay, and then you sat me and my sister and we waited 25 mins before anyone even talked to us, then we finally got ONE girl and there's TWO of us, okay! So i said "do my sister first, it's her birthday" .. I was STILL waiting, 40 mins later (is that even normal?? You guys don't know first thing about being professional) ... two other people WALKED in and they got TWO employees to help them out within 5 minutes?!? I won't be back EVER AGAIN but i am giving you one star review across the board (not that you care at all) so people don't go there EVER if they value their time. Everyone is so friendly! And the salon is very clean! Came here with my wife and cousins, they sat us down pretty quickly. I always have ingrown nails and this is the first place I didn't feel like my big toe was being stabbed off! They were very gentle, and the perfect pressure massaging my legs! And great prices! My friend and I went to happy nails a week ago today 11/09 because my friend was getting married on 11/11. I asked for a manicure and I have long nails my of my own so I just wanted them French tipped. They took my friend back right away for a pedicure and I waited about 15 minutes before they started working on my nails. He clipped a little around my cuticles then he gave me my French tip and then put hand lotion on my hands. He kept telling me to get the gel paint because it'll last 2 to 3 weeks. Well it's exactly one week today and the gel started lifting on day five. I have no painted French tips on my nails any longer. I paid $20 for a manicure and $20 for a gel painting and it lasted a whole five days. I also left a tip. I will never go back to that salon again that was the most expensive nail painting that I have ever experienced ! my friend had a different guy do her nails and she asked for a manicure and he did all kinds of things that the guy that waited on me didn't do .I never did receive a manicure I had hang nails constantly during the wedding and still do ,not to mention the lifting of the gel paint now after five days. This place is way too expensive. Charged me $35 for a FILL IN. That's the normal price for a full set. I used to love coming here to get my nails done and it'd usually be around $40. But now they've charged me $55 for a full set with one color, no accent nail or anything. I'm so mad and they don't even do a good job. My nails are always crooked and bumpy, every time. i went to get my nails done for prom and was so disappointed. i got short nails without designs except for chrome and they charged me 70$. it's not even the price at this point. they didn't take time doing my nails , the lady was sloppy with her work, didn't even take the acrylic up to my cuticle and was very rude. i will NEVER go back to happy nails!!!! read more

i have been going to this place for over a year and the last 4 times the dipping powder has chipped off. My nail was in still in tact but the powder chips. When I have mentioned it they just brushed it off. Today I went by to get my nail fixed and the attendant was rude so I left. I will not be back there. I went to happy nails with my mother for a mother and daughter afternoon. We were both new to the salon so we got there 30 minutes earlier than our scheduled appointment. When the ball guy with the glasses who was working at the first station abruptly asked us what we were there for I told him that I was there for a gel fill manicure and that my mother was for a powder fill manicure. He then mumbled some thing under his mask which we thought was OK sit and wait and then ignored us. I proceeded to ask him where the colors were for the gel. He pointed me to the wall as well as my mother. When we sat and started looking at colors my mother asked nicely if it would be OK if she started soaking her nails because usually her powder takes 30 minutes to soak off. They brushed her off and ignored her question. Then after about 15 minutes they ordered us to go sit at two stations which we did. We sat there for another 15 minutes and again my mother asked nicely to another woman who is doing a pedicure if she could just get a little bowl of acetone to soak her nails in. The lady abruptly said no go away. As it was after our appointment time my mother then got up a third time and spoke once again to the bald guy with the glasses and said I need to soak these nails otherwise it's gonna take me 30 minutes until you can even start my manicure and he started yelling at her that she was an hour late already. This was absolutely not true we had arrive 30 minutes early to our scheduled appointment which was 5 o'clock. We specifically called ahead and advance to ask when they were not going to be busy so we can arrange our appointment then. With that an older Asian man sits down very abruptly and ask what do we want I proceeded to show him a picture on my phone of a nail design that I would like to have and that I needed a gel fill. He looked at me and said do you want an ombré. I said yes as well as this design over the ombré. He then looked at me and screamed again do you want an ombré and I said yes a second time. He then a third time held up the sign and yells do you want an ombré very loudly in the salon. At that point I looked at him and I said I don't know how in any other was I can say the word yes but clearly you're not understanding me. From that moment on the experience was a nightmare he proceeded to do both my mother and my nails quickly abruptly throwing our hands back-and-forth yanking on our fingers yelling at me that I was tensing my fingernails up. He was rushing. The manicure looked horrible. At the end the guy gave me the completely wrong manicure it was nothing of what I asked for. When we got up and left I said there's absolutely no way you deserve a tip I don't even want to pay for this because this is absolutely unacceptable that you treat your customers this way. I demanded to speak to the manager who conveniently wasn't available until the man didn't get a tip and then she miraculously appeared. I made it a point to tell her and everyone in that salon that they were rude they had absolutely no customer service and that I would never recommend this place and I would give them a horrible review. We were a potentially new and reoccurring customer that will never happen. If they can't learn English to understand their customers that is not our fault it is theirs. Just because they don't understand what we're asking for doesn't mean they have any right to treat us with any kind of disrespect. I would never go to the salon again I think they should be shut down. They don't deserve to have a business in this the town of Cookeville!!! Do not give them our hard earned American dollars!!! read more
