I'm not from here and I came to get a bad dip job fixed by the lady with long brown hair and glasses. She started by filing off the top layer so they could soak off the acrylic. Normal stuff ok all good. However, while she's carelessly filing, she runs over my cuticle a couple times. I said, "that's my cuticle". She moves on to the next, and the next and does it again. Attitude is the reason I am posting a negative review. I came here for the first time for my eyebrows. I was in need of a good eyebrow waxer and decided to try this place. I'm guessing she is the owner. She did my eyebrows and took too much off my right eyebrow at the end. I confronted her about my concerns and she immediately gave me attitude. After giving me attitude, she said I didn't have to pay. I think people shouldn't have to get their head chewed off if they express their concerns and that is the problem in this situation. I never leave reviews but this place made me do it. Absolutely the worst pedicure I have ever received. I got the "deluxe " lol. 25 min total spent on me and charged full $50 1 hour price. Feet look same as when I came in. "Massage" was non existent. Can't tell you where else to go but wanted to save you the time and money. They are not clean, does NOT sanitize ANYTHING, one of ladies were coughing on her hand and did not once washed her hands and yet continued doing her client's nail, they drink and pass their own drinks to other staffs, touch their face, gossip the ENTIRE TIME, get on their phones, send snapchats, nothing but miserable unprofessional women that works there and talk bad about other staff, customers, and people in Cookeville. The lady that did my nails took TWO HOURS for a simple art on acrylic nails because she was busy gossiping with the staff and sending videos to her friends on snapchat. It does NOT take 2 hours to do my simple nail art. Do not come here unless you want to deal with miserable, insecure, and unprofessional women. I had to go somewhere else to get my ugly nails removed. I have loved this salon for so long. The people here are so sweet. But the man doing my nails today provided me and my sister with the absolute worst experience ever. Both of us came in with nails already and requested they would be soaked off with acetone. The man disregarded our request and proceeded to use his fingernail to rip our nails off. even though my sister asked multiple times to soak them because she was exclaiming in pain he just told her to look away while he continued. She also had an injury on her nail that he glued the acrylic to (even though she asked him to avoid it). He was tattooed and had one long thumb nail that i'm sure is not sanitary to use to rip peoples nails off with. Both of us sustained cuts and it's unfortunate that we had a bad experience at a place that is so often lovely. read more

Came here for the first time this week. Molly was my manicurist and the service & manicure was great!!! I would have rated it a 5 Star ...however NO ONE on staff was wearing a mask. Working this close with people the technicians should really be wearing mask, if for no other reason, out of concern for their customers & their health. read more

Kinda expensive.... not sure how it rates to other salons in the area though. Asked for a basic full mani and pedi. Hangnails were not cut off. Cuticle was injured during the use of the electric filer, causing pain. Artificial nail partially came off the next day. Went in the next day had it fixed for no charge. The techs and owner are friendly. Very busy place! Don't expect to walk in during peak times, you will be asked to create an appointment or wait a few hours. read more

The staff was very friendly and nice. However, it took 2 hours just for one set of gel nails, which isn't too bad necessarily. I had the nails for not even a week before the gel polish started to peel on all of my nails. Then, after only having them for a week, they started popping off while I was doing nothing in particular for them to come off. I have always been a customer at Tommy Nails in Cookeville as well and I have never had this issue. I paid too much just to have these nails come off in a week. Very disappointed. read more

BEWARE.....My sixteen year old niece and I came in to get a pedicure on 1/3/15. Mine was great. My niece ... not so much. The pedicurist cut my niece's great toe with the cuticle clippers. Now I understand that things happen and people make mistakes, but she never apologized. It was still bleeding when our pedicures were over. This, however, is not what upsets me the most. When I went to look at my niece's toes later on that evening, I noticed she still had old nail polish in the corner of her toes! She had opted for just clear polish but in the corners of her toes, you could clearly see remains of silver polish she came in with before her pedicure! Now as a pedicurist, I can understand you may make a mistake and cut someone, it happens, but it is your business to carefully look at peoples toes! In my opinion this is just pure laziness and unacceptable. As I said earlier my pedicure was great. I would avoid the short, thin , Asian woman at all costs!! read more
