I was at Pro Nails for a bridal party gathering and really wanted to like this place. The nail salon is not inviting, it seems crammed and outdated. I decided on a gel manicure and pedicure, I was rushed through both services. I started with the pedicure and not much of anything was done throughout the service. I got the worst set of acrylic nails in my life! They were all shaped differently amd not what I had asked for, the paint job was horrible and she left my fingers a mess with product. Overpriced and inconsistent pricing. It's one price one week and next time you go it's different again. A polish change is the same charge as a manicure. The technicians are in a huge rush and rudely speak amongst themselves and then laugh. Local weights and measures needs to do a drive by to check on pricing issues. Truly it's nail Polish not Gold! I have been having my nails done by Ann the owner for about 18 years. When she took over this location I followed her from West Seneca. I used to get the pink and white acrylic in my younger years and always liked them. These days I go for a nice gel nail polish that I change each month give or take. She has all the gel colors and the regular polish to match! A gel polish change is $25, which I find comparable to other salons I've seen. To be honest I really only go to Ann for my nails, but have had the polish removed at other salons in a pinch. This place is very clean and professional. A couple times a year I'll also treat myself to a pedicure. I like to get gel on my toes even when I am going on an island getaway. I find it stands up to all that pool time well. So if you're looking for a nail salon this is the place to go. I admire the owner's hard work 6 days a week and have always received great care. read more

Just got a gel manicure that I deeply regret. I am very patient and always go out of my way to pay cash because I know it is preferred. The job was incredibly rushed after the woman who did my nails clearly had her next appointment walk in. Gel polish on my cuticles/fingertips and hair stuck in the paint. EGP & I walked in on a Thursday afternoon for gel manis. This was my first gel mani ever. I rarely paint my nails but I thought this would be a nice treat to enjoy with my friend. An older lady took me right away. She spoke little discernible English and communication was an issue. Still, she was sweet, but I thought the job she did was a sloppy. EGP got another tech who seemed to be a perfectionist because her nails came out perfectly. I had to go home and file away at some sharp edges. I was afraid that this polish would peel in the areas where it was sloppily applied but 2 days and 2 showers and a million hand washings later, it's still going strong. If this were regular polish, it probably wouldn't last more than a few days. We'll see how long the gel lasts. I love the gel because it's super durable right away. No worrying about smudging. I will definitely consider a gel mani again, but if I come back here I will make an appointment with one of the recommended techs only. It's clean here though, and pleasant. read more

Spontaneously decided to get my nails done this afternoon. Meant to go to a different place but ended up here. As a walk in, I got seated right away- even during lunch hour. I had a gel French manicure done 3 weeks ago back home and decided to get the same. Kim took care of me and she was very sweet and extremely gentle. (Read: no boo boos!) I like that they use brand-new nail files. They also seem to have a lot of regulars that they know on a first name basis which I also like. The location has a parking lot and is in a plaza on the corner of Maple and Transit so it's convenient. read more

This nail salon is great! When I was getting married my bridesmaids and I made appointments here. My aunt and cousin wanted to come along as well and they fit them in. Some people decided to get mani and pedis when we only had appointments for one and they accommodated that as well. So many colors to pick from and very friendly. The prices are very reasonable as well. Love going to this salon when I'm in the area. read more

I needed an unplanned polish change on my toes. I regularly go to the eyebrow threading place next door so I decided to give this place a try. I usually go to a a different nail salon, however, given the convenience to my eyebrow place, I thought it would be worth a try. Unfortunately it was a mistake. The woman who did my toes used a cuticle cutter to cut my nails. She also didn't allow my feet to soak to soften the nails before cutting them. Her cutting was sloppy and she didn't polish the whole nail. When I pointed it out she only offered to put more top coat on which she told me would require me to sit under the dryer for 30-60 minutes. Since I didn't have the time, I opted to just let it be. She also told me that I could not use the massage feature of the chair. I don't think the polish will last, but since it is winter time I can live with it. I will definitely not be coming back when the weather gets nice again! If I had the option to give this place zero stars, I would. If it wasn't the day before Thanksgiving I also would not have given her a tip. I am writing this while letting my nails dry. The woman rushed to get my toes done and now she is just sitting around. This place is a total disappointment. With all the options for nail salons, I would highly recommend staying away from this one and going elsewhere. This was a complete waste of money! I went in and was shifted from chair to chair to chair and different people and was still waiting after an hour and a half for my gel manicure. They had taken off the polish so I waited. Finally, I just got a polish change as there was no time for a manicure and they still charged me $25!!!! Everyone ignored me when I asked what was happening. Worst nail salon experience ever. This manicure experience almost ruined my birthday. The manicurist was rude and kept pushing more expensive services even when I said no thanks. Worse, she cut my cuticle so it bled for several minutes and kept dabbing at it with the same tiny piece of cotton like she couldn't spare a whole cotton pad or two. My cuticle was sore for at least 24 hours so this was not a tiny nip. The whole place seemed unsanitary. When she finished she went directly to do a pedicure on a little girl without washing, much less sanitizing, the cuticle clippers that were exposed to blood. Also, I don't think they even changed the water between pedicures. I was alarmed and grossed out. This place should be shut down! read more
