This gem of a nail salon is wonderful. The owner let us know she'd taken over new ownership of the place within the last year, so it's a different salon from what was there before. We came from out of town to meet in Vacaville as our halfway point, and my friend and her girls all had pedicures with me. We made an appointment and were there on time, and the lovely staff of three ladies and a gentleman were ready for us and jumped right in. They took their time and did awesome work, scrubbing, massaging, cleaning and painting our toenails. We even chose to have a little painted art and they all obliged us. They were patient and kind and all smiles, friendly and talkative and did quality work. And the fact that all 4 of us had the same awesome experience there at once is impressive! I did a walk in for a new set because I broke a nail and my regular nail place couldn't fit me in until Thursday. Giving 3 stars because they called in a tech to fit me in last minute-- very nice of them. First of all, the guy was removing my old set and cut me/made me bleed on my thumb nail. Second of all, I brought a photo of what I wanted, plaid, which I've had done multiple times at my usual spot. I'm no nail tech, but straight lines seem pretty simple to me. However, the guy couldn't seem to manage it. It looked so bad I had him remove the design completely and will have to go elsewhere to get it done. $55 is a really cheap price compared to other locations, but to leave bleeding and disappointed...I feel like that's a little much. Have gone here twice now to get a gel mani and regular pedi and this is the first time I've gone between manicures without polish chipping off. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. With tip my first time was $70 and the second time $50 for a color change for both. Will keep going back! read more

I have been going to Pro Nails for 20 years and have mostly really good outcomes. I recommend it to my daughter to get her nails done there for Winter Ball. She showed the gentleman exactly what she wanted. 3 hours and $100 later she left in tears with nails nothing like she wanted. A terrible job and they weren't even finished. We have an abundance of nail salons in Vacaville so when your appointment consistently gets bumped by walk-ins, you move to another salon. I have NEVER had to wait for my appointment here. Everyone is also incredibly friendly and welcoming. Last night, as I was backing out of the parking lot, Mary came running outside and stopped my car saying that I tipped her too much? Confused, I said that I meant to tip her that amount (I always do) and she then showed me that two $20 bills were stuck together?? I had gone to Pro Nails back when they first opened with no issues and to see they were still around was amazing. I started with Nathan and he is good with best massges. Then I switched to Susan. She is very meticolous. Agree she is sweet and "doesn't chitchat much which is fine with me because I prefer to just relax and read during my pedicure". AGREE" She gives a really nice foot/leg massage too." Prices are really good. The shop isn't fancy like other places in Vacaville. However, it's pretty clean and the staff are nice. Mani and Pedi are $32. Very reasonable for Vacaville. CASH only. NO debit or ATM. Some people do use checks. read more

This salon only accepts cash, but I think that's how they keep their prices so reasonable. With a major chain grocery store right there, it's easy enough to use your ATM if you forget to bring cash. I have recently travelled further to use Groupons at higher priced salons, and have been disappointed every time. I came to this salon based on the reviews given on Yelp. The first time my mom and I went, we were treated so nice. Nathan did my mom's nails the 3 times that we went there. On the 3rd time, he criticized my mom's toe nails and told her that she should not paint her nails because of the fungus. He was scolding her in front of the other customers and then turned to his coworker to speak in his language so we couldn't understand him. My 79 year old mother was so embarrassed and mortified at what he told her in front of others. This was unprofessional behavior. We don't appreciate that treatment. It's rude to scold a customer and tell her not to paint her toe nails and speak in another language we don't understand. We're done with places like this. So hard to find salons where the employees don't act like that. read more

The worst nail salon I have ever been to! They nail technician couldn't do a simple glitter ombre. When I encouraged him to try he kept insisting that I just leave them as the base color. They did my toes in one of those feet massagers that you buy in Walmart and the nail polish they used was so thick that it was clumpy and messed up before I left. I'm going to have to go get my nails redone at another salon. The only reason I would suggest going here is if you like throwing money away. read more
