Went in after work today, I called to see if they had time for a fill. They take walk-ins but I figured I'd call to see if they were busy/had time. The lady on the phone was really nice and told me to head on over. I got a short square full set a couple weeks ago and I went in today to get a fill and new color. I didn't get the lady's name when I came in 2 weeks ago but she did a really good job. Today I went in and the guy that did my nails was Tim. He did a really great job. Good service, I really like his application, and he was also fast! They came out perfect. Came in with my mom after we visited Vanda thai next door( I think I have the name right) give them a try the food is so good. So we needed pedicures. It had been a minute. I had a gentleman. No one introduced themselves so I do not know his name. My mom had an older lady. My toes were cleaned well. I wasn't cut( I have meaty toes). I had to turn my massage chair on myself( I forgot about it and didn't turn it on until mid service ( my fault but not really). My feet were not scrubbed well, you could still see some dead skin. The massage was nice but shoupd have been longer. I paid $40 for a gel pedicure since it was raining. Eh. I still had to go home and scrub feet. I thought my mom was getting a better service since hers was taking longer. My mom does no polish, so when the lady said she was done my mom pulled her foot up and was scraping dead skin. Hmmm wth so yall scrubbers suck. We had just done feet peels last month so our feet were not terrible. The lady gone hand her the scrubber and say you can take it home. Yeah. Nope nope. Not the cleanest spot. I would have left after I walked in but my mom wanted to go. But never again can she pick. read more

This place is not sanitary at all. They do not change gloves and refuse files immediately after using them on another customer. I was very concerned about nail fungus and cross contamination. I do not know the ladies name but she was an older woman. She tried to make conversation, but refused to listen to my wants which I thought was very rude. I would have given them one more time, but honestly it's not worth the potential fungus infection. Please do better with glove changing. read more

I am very sad to write this review because I am new to Dixon, and I thought I found my new nail salon. I came in for a pedicure, an older lady was doing a pedicure right next to me. She then went directly from the girl next to me (with the same gloves, files, etc.) No hand washing, no glove change....NOTHING!!! I was so grossed out. When I asked her to change her gloves she refused, and continued to try to take polish off my toes. I had to ask another employee if her could mention to her about the gloves (thinking it could have been language barrier) but NOPE she understood English. She was just rude & NASTY! Now unfortunately I will NEVER be back. Glove changing in between touching different customers feet is not too much to ask for!!!! I will be reporting them because that's just disgusting! read more

I usually go to a nail place, love it the first time and the next few appointments they screw it all up and I'm forced to find a new place again. Not Odessey-they are the only place I've been consistently happy with. The owner is the sweetest, and they do a great job. I think the prices are cheaper than any other places I've been, and I've never had a complaint whether it be my nails or toes. I've had a variety of nail techs help me, and like I said, I never had any issues with any service I've received here. With COVID they have implemented safety measures like a temperature check, hand washing, masks, glass shields and no walk ins. I came with my daughter and felt totally safe, and would not hesitate to go back. If you are looking for your nails done, definitely try this place out! read more

I got a fill and had 1 broken nail when they fixed the broken nail they make 2 times long then my other ones and my nails had a lot of bumps on them. I didn't realize it until I left so I went back in and this lady tried to fix the pinky she was nice but I felt she made it little worse along with out more top coat to fix's the bumps but again I thought she made it worse so I waited for the guy who worked on me to finish with the person he was working on and he fixed the pinky but when i asked the guy if he can buff the nails and top coat them he said no I will have to redo it and I asked how much it will be even though I feel it should be somewhat free as they messed up my nails he said it will be $10 so I just decided to deal with them but he had already messed up my nail so he was fixing that one and he said "I don't understand why had to put more top coat" to me like sir I wasn't the one who messed up my nails like tf but besides that I paid $48 for the nails but over all $53 because I was trying to be nice and give a tip honestly regret giving a tip and to top it all off the gel peeled off not even a 3 days later read more

Nice people, unfortunately my gel nails did not last and kept coming off . I got my nails done on Saturday April 23 and by Sunday night two peeled off, i work in a office and wash my hands as any normal person. Went in on Monday and they fixed my nails lasted 1 day in a half and today April 27 four more peeled off, went in and got them fixed once more at around 3-4pm. It is now 8:57pm and two of the ones fixed came off. I was advised to get powder next time so they would last but i have had gel before that have lasted at least 2 weeks not sure why these did not last. Great people but i wont go back read more

I came to get my nails done here thinking it would be more convenient seeing as how I live in Dixon and my usual nail shop is located in Vacaville. I was initially happy with both service and the finished product, but unfortunately after only TWO days my gel polish began to chip! I work for Wells Fargo so I do very little rigorous activity daily, so when i returned to the shop hoping to receive a repolish after explaining my situation i was told by the owner that she would "only charge me 10 dollars and I could pick whatever color I wanted". When I declined and told her I would rather have the same color due to the fact i just recently was serviced she tried to talk me down to 5 dollars! Ive never experienced a nail shop that wouldn't attempt to keep a customer by simply redoing the job. I wasn't asking for another fill afterall.. long story short, I will not do any further business here. I'm glad I didn't have a broken nail. SMH read more

Please don't get me wrong they are very polite people. But there pedicure procedures are not great by far I got a pedicure here and a week later my toe was infected and I had to have part of the nail removed and drained. Got a beautiful french manicure here today! Walked in without an appointment and was served right away. A man did my white tips beautifully and a really nice lady did my design and polish. I love that my fake nails don't look fake. The staff at Odyssey really took their time with me and made sure I was happy. To start off with the water for my pedicure was luke warm at best. Another problem was that the massage chair didn't work. The lady did a good job on both my manicure and pedicure, but once she started doing my manicure all I could think was... Is that bump on her finger a mole or a wart. I've never wanted to run and wash my hands and feet so badly. This place was cheap and did a good job, but hygiene wins over service. Jeez wear a band-aid or gloves. I am a regular patron of the salon for many years and although I have enjoyed their manicures and pedicures all along, it is especially nice to see that they have all new interior--new paint, new decor, new floor, and yes, the BEST, all new pedicure chairs. While I've always thought the service was of great value, they have gotten better over the years and I have found their water plenty hot and their staff very kind. I have been going to this company since 1999, it has changed owners once back in 2000. The buisness is nice and comfotable. Nothing too fancy just a good clean place to get your nails done for a resonable price. The price does change with the season but always resonable. I've been a customer at Odessey Nails every two weeks for over eight years. My visits include a manicure (gel), pedicure and eyebrow wax. I have never had a problem. Nora and her staff always go out of their way to be courteous and helpful. There's been times when I have broken or chipped a nail. I have returned to the salon, my problem fixed promptly. I'm not understanding the whole I walk in and have to wait statements. You can't just walk in and expect to be waited on right away when the salon is busy. My first visit I walked in and had to wait about a half hour to get just a brow wax. Ok, I get with walk-ins there will be a wait sometimes. The second and third times I walked in for just a brow wax, I was told nobody would be available to help me and to come back tomorrow. It was extremely rude and completely unprofessional. I guess they don't really want my business. Will not go again. I also don't keep a lot of cash on me but there is a sign on the window that cards are accepted. When I handed her my card, she frowned and said the minimum must be $20. She told me to go to the ATM to get cash. Don't you think that should be posted in a clear spot?
