I received a quote from Mr. Electric of Mansfield for electrical repair work totaling $7,700…read more Because the price seemed extremely high, I contacted another local electrical company, BP Electric of Ohio Inc. in Lexington, for a quote for the same repair work. Their quote came back at $3,150. That is a difference of $4,550 for the same service repairs. I called Mr. Electric and spoke with a manager, Tyler, about the large price difference. I was told their pricing is higher because they are a bigger company and have more overhead. However, both companies offered the same warranty, so that explanation did not justify such a large difference to me. After comparing quotes, I feel like we were significantly overcharged for the work Mr. Electric completed, and I regret not getting a second opinion sooner. I also feel taken advantage of as a customer, especially after learning another local company quoted the same repair work for thousands less. Based on this experience, I personally will not use Mr. Electric of Mansfield for service again. I strongly recommend that anyone considering them get additional quotes from other local electricians before approving any work. In my case, doing so could have saved me thousands of dollars.
