They recommended parts which were not needed and turned those down because I knew better but gave the tech the benefit of the doubt and had other repairs done. I was not present since it was a rental property but paid the bill. I discovered later the described repairs were not actually even completed. When I contacted customer service about it they told me there was nothing they could do to remedy it "according to their policy". This isn't the same quality company I was used to years ago.

He was able to fix the oven door and left everything in a good order. We had several discussions with the front office to answer some of our questions and to verify that we had the correct part before we ordered it. We also appreciated that they were able to quote based on an email since the issue was a broken oven window that was easy to show by attaching a picture to an email. Since we didn't want to pay for a visit if we could not find the part and needed an estimate the cost so we could decide whether to replace or repair, we were glad to be able to get a email quote for a smaller charge. They then deducted the charge from the final bill

Unfortunately, I called Mr. Appliance Cleveland to…read morerepair my refrigerator starter and capacitor... which based on research I understood to actually be a simple DIY for anyone not afraid to open the panel on the back of the fridge... but I wouldn't dare...and also aware that the parts were very inexpensive, I figured if it was that simple, it shouldn't cost much and took a chance with "neighborly" Mr. Appliance Cleveland because reviews, their website and friendly staff made me feel safe that I wouldn't get gouged. Wrong. The tech spent 10 minutes behind the fridge on the phone with Frigidaire to diagnose then gave me an electronic invoice for $260 labor for a job that takes less than 30 minutes and $247.80 for parts that were $130 in total online for the most expensive OAM parts (they were much cheaper on Amazon, but for the purpose of my discontentment, I'm sharing the most expensive costs I could find at any retailer). Because I decided to decline after questioning the invoice details, I was on the hook for $199 diagnostic fee + $20 restocking fee for the parts. Naturally, I don't want to give them $220 for a 10 minute visit, and I need the repair but don't have time for additional research to find a more honest company at this point, so I will pay them to do the work, but will NEVER refer anyone or use that business again. I had an appointment in April for a leaking dishwasher. They sent out a subcontractor with a different name (Mr. Khan), fine, I thought maybe that's their business model. He gave an estimate for the parts and labor, and asked me to pay half in advance. I did. When I called back two weeks later to check on the part, they informed me that my technician was on sick-leave, with an indeterminate return date. Each person I spoke to from Mr. Khan, via email or call, did not feel like they were the person who could return my deposit. Then I tried contacting Columbus Appliance Repair via their website. Twice. No reply. My phone calls to them have been answered by a bot, who cannot find my address, respond to questions, or connect me to a person. This company is not legitimate. Do not use them.
