Hired this company to paint my house while out of town. They indicated the job will take 2 weeks to complete. They called me a week indicating that they are almost done with the job. Upon brief initial inspection, I have identified several areas of concern that did not meet the agreed-upon standards, specifically areas that were not painted. They sent a worker to correct those areas. While I sensed a general lack of quality in the painting job, I paid in full. While the painting project was done in April, I moved into the house permanently in late June 2025. Since moving into the house, I started to discover numerous other areas that this company did not paint, as evidenced by small stains, spots and other defects that indicate old paint rather than fresh, same color paint. At that time (June 2025 after 2 months of not living in the house Richard), I contacted the company explaining the situation and the Owner stated that as far as he was concerned, he considered the project complete since I paid in full. The unpainted areas mentioned above and the unpainted areas that I keep discovering daily, indicate that the crew took advantage of the same color paint chosen by me and did not paint old paint, which to them, looked in fair condition; however, a closer look with a magnifier light would reveal that those areas were not painted with new paint, as evidenced by small spots and dirty areas. Overall, I estimate that the company painted between 60% to 70% of the total areas that were agreed upon to be painted, aligning with the crew's early completion. Subsequently, I demanded a partial refund and the Owner called me to say that he will not refund anything and that a poor online review from me will not affect him since he has hundreds of positive reviews from his paid service- Angi's List. He also mentioned that he went to court for "petty" requests like mine and he was not afraid to do so. I asked him if the reason he went to court was for poor workmanship and he was aggravated. To whom intends to hire this company - read the 1-star reviews. He has no control over his people, no crew supervision. You will definitely find a better and honest painting contractor. read more

I used this company in March-April 2025 to paint the interior of my entire house- 3 floors. They quoted me 2 weeks. Mistake was that we wanted the same colors and let them paint unsupervised while we were out of town. While we were away, they called and indicated that they were going to finish quicker than 2 weeks. No wonder- to this day, we keep finding areas that were never painted. They did not touch areas that were in good condition, only painted if I were to guess 50-60% of the total square footage. Be aware if you want to use them- there is no supervision from the company and do change the colors. I contacted the owner, and he indicated that as far as he knows the project was approved by me and that was that. I did pay them the full amount but again, still finding old stains in areas that were never painted. This is shameful. Careful..... read more

We used this company a couple of years ago. They took longer than scheduled to finish the job and there was little oversight from management. It was scheduled as a 5-6 day project, but took multiple weeks. After the project was "complete", the project manager came out and walked over their work. I also went over what they did at the time, but we had a newborn so my attention was not 100%, but did identify numerous areas to address. Since then, we have had to do multiple touch ups, particularly on the trim and baseboards which was the majority of the work we hired them for. Specifically along the edges facing the walls it was barely done in many rooms. Tonight was the third touch-up as we continue to find areas on the trim/door frames they missed or did not complete. They may be capable of painting walls, but I would not recommend them for trim/baseboards/door frames. read more

I was very disappointed with the job done. The painting job was below expectation. They painted over nails, did not sand patches and the job does NOT look professional. Paint drips are noticeable, painted over areas not properly patched. The team had the potential to do a good job but did not seem fully invested in the job and did not pay attention to details - see the few photos shared. Positive: arrived on time and cleaned up each day. Would not recommend. I would have loved the supervisor to walk through at the end and see the team's work. read more

The crew was on time and friendly, but the result is pretty bad - a couple of examples: 1.) we have a little spray paint on all windows, because they covered them insufficiently. 2.) the paint is already forming blisters in several dozen spots - 6 months after painting. Most blisters are very noticeable, on the front of the house. They are between the 1st and 2nd coat, which means they didn't wait long enough between coats. 3.) they did minimal prep work, so in many areas they just painted over peeling trim paint and in some other areas, they painted over the little spider nests that tend to accumulate under each siding board. Summary: Insufficient prep and rushed paint job led to a very poor result. I contacted the owner, Rich, but he hung up on me (for the 2nd time btw) after saying "I won't do anything for you because you left a negative review". Additionally, the owner and the crew were not following CDC guidelines. No one wore masks in the fall of 2020, right in fall surge of cases here in the Midwest. read more

Pro Painting painted our house this past summer, and while it wasn't cheap, they did a great job, or so I thought. The paint work itself turned out fine and the supervisor was on site throughout the entire process leading me to believe that he was on top of things. Unfortunately, the project was spoiled in the end when I began cleaning the windows a few weeks later. Every window, 16 of them, was covered with a film of overspray that required heavy scraping with a razor blade, doubling the cleaning time. Poor masking and/or failure to do a quality final check was the cause. When I called the company, they apologized and said they would "look into it." They also said I should have checked the windows and all the work myself. When I spend $7000 to have my house professionally painted, I shouldn't have to check anything myself. Of course, I never heard any more after I called. Having said all this, I cannot recommend Pro Painting and advise hiring another painting contractor. read more

Bad job. Our areas that are slanted and higher were barely done. They came back to fix some things, but I gave up on asking them. They had a poor attitude about coming back. They would have had to redo that whole area. Paint is peeling badly this year in the areas they didn't sand. They didn't sand anything although the estimate said they would!!! We had John Frugo come out to do a survey of what we wanted to get painted. He came on a Friday for about 10 minutes, left and said we would get a couple of quotes on the following Monday. Didn't hear anything by the following Tuesday so reached out again asking for an update. No update was heard by the following Friday so another requested was sent out asking for an update. Still nothing, so a third request was sent out on the following Tuesday asking for when we may receive the quote. Finally got a response back that John decided they were going to pass on the business. If you are looking for transparency and timeliness this is not the place for you. read more

From talking to Rob about the estimate to having John come to the house and speak to us we felt very confident and comfortable with them. They were very professional and we're glad we choose them from the 8 estimates we got. The workers were very professional, courteous, and finished in a timely fashion. OK... here's EXACTLY what happened. I signed a contract with Richard to paint the Interior of my house (Spring 2019) and exterior of my house (Summer 2019, when the weather warmed up). The crew to complete the interior was run by George (a very good guy--). The job was completed on time, and was done very very well. I wrote a review afterwards, at Richard's request, explaining that I was very pleased. They did not complete the front doors because the weather was still too cold, and they would return to complete the exterior doors (part of the interior contract) when they returned to do the exterior of the home.... so several weeks go by,.. I was told that because of the very wet spring (2019) that it was impossible to paint the house.. which of course makes sense. And that I would be contacted when the weather was warmer and dryer. Now, as of this writing (September 3, 2019) I have still not heard back from Richard. I have called him several times, and only gotten voicemail. I have left him text messages on his cellular phone (which he has responded to in the past) and no response. I called the main office again today, and he picked up the phone and shouted "FUCK YOU MAN" and hung up on me. Well... not sure if this guy is mentally unbalanced... or had to put his dog down recently.. or is having a bad day (to explain the unprofessional and rude behavior)... but at this point, I don't care. Do yourself a favor and avoid these guys... go ahead and give them a call and talk to Richard yourself, and you'll see what I mean... his demeanor and character speak volumes.. I only went with them for the interior because I was in a pinch and needed the interior done quickly, and they weren't busy (not too surprising). Richard is an angry, grumpy, old man. Very disappointed... there are plenty of other painters in the Bull Valley area.. I will followup with a review of the company that I eventually end up using. Thanks for reading my review. read more

if you want a paint job that is of good quality do not hire them. Might be okay for quick paint of a rental but the quality of the finish of the work is sub par. Had cabinets that had been painted with only 1 coat in some areas. Cabinets that have been installed back incorrectly that I cant even open them. Areas around the trim and power points haven't been painted properly. read more
