For my first visit, thanks to the VA, I would say it went well. Anthony at the front was very helpful because I had issues with the forms I had to fill, but we handled it. Dean did a fantastic job in the initial visit, giving me a ton of information. Anthony was giving me a tour of the studio, and I was really impressed. I chose this practice after being treated at "The Joint," as well as 2 private chiropractors. Each visit consisted of a few questions, followed by a quick adjustment. Dr. Amanda completed a thorough exam consisting of movement and physical touch. Then, she used several modalities, prior to performing the traditional adjustment. During this initial assessment, she addressed by back and shoulder pain. I was shocked that within an hour after leaving her office, I had a significant reduction in pain in my back, and more importantly, my shoulder. I had attempted to address the shoulder pain with everything from ice, to heat, to massage, to no avail. But, after seeing Dr. Amanda, my pain finally reduced. I'm shocked! Today I had my initial visit with Jenna. I recently fell and injured my knee/hip. Jenna did a thorough evaluation of my entire spine etc. afterwards she focused on my problem areas by performing soft tissue work (which was painful but relieving). I enjoy running and am so pleased that can continue to put in the miles because of the amazing care I get from both of them. The customer service is great at the front desk also. Always greeted with a smile. They have an amazing app they use that gives you your exercises for in between sessions and it so easy to use. Each exercise includes a how to video and alerts your PT when you add comments after you complete and exercise. If you're looking for a chiropractor I can not recommend Dr Winthrop and his team enough! They take the time to find out what works best for you when doing your adjustments. They also offer massage therapy and a procedure called shockwave that shoots little shockwaves into your muscles. For me, shockwave combined with adjustments has been a game changer. Dr. Winthorp actually fixed my plantar fasciitis after 6 months of walking around in pain. I went to other doctors but none could get rid of the pain. He carefully explained my situation and proceeded with several weeks of treatment and also daily stretching exercises.
