Haven't been in years. Fernando cut me and it was clean. Just a edge up and temp fade. Happy with the result. He tried charging me $75 though which is crazy. I said I never paid $75 for a temp fade in my life. Mind you I have dreads. We agreed on $40. As I was leaving he said hold up "your card didn't go through" and told me to swipe again. I said let me check my bank account and he immediately switched up and said nevermind. I'm pretty certain he was trying to get me to double pay. I used to come here as a kid, but it ain't the same Place. There is a fat guy with a nose ring who trimmed my beard. He acted like he didn't want to do it and I wish he didn't because it was horrible; cut and scratched me all up. I'm pretty sure he was being intentional. My post was NOT reflective of Kaygee himself, but the service I received from this establishment earlier this year (2017) and with a different barber. So I deleted my review under Kaygee's page and moved it here. I'm not trying to ruin one barber's reputation as a result of another's mistakes and my own clerical errors. My apologies to Kaygee.) I hate having to find new barbers while I'm on the road because you just don't know what to expect. I walked into this place with a classmate on a Saturday morning and the place was SLAMMED. But people looked like they were waiting for their barber, obviously for a reason (which I regrettably ignored). A kid walked up to me and asked if I could be helped and I thought, "YOU CUT HAIR???" But then an older barber (early-20s) offered to help me and I rolled with him. I should've gone with the kid... This dude COULD NOT follow directions and just did his own thing. Besides cutting my mustache down to an awkward style for my face, he actually cut me! I wasn't moving... He just didn't know what he was doing. I mean, the guy said, "Oops," so you know that's never a good thing when a barber says that. The first time he asked me if my hair was all right, I told him it wasn't and he had to fix it. It's like, "Dude... My s**t is uneven...!" He didn't fix it. So the next time he asked if it was okay I just said yes. I HAD to get out of that chair! I went home and shaved everything. 4 months of growth and effort down the drain in one hour. I'm not going to say they need to fire the kid; he just has a whole lot more school to do before the shop lets him rent one of their chairs again. My suggestion: find the barber with the longest line and WAIT IN THAT LINE. read more

We've been here a couple times and for the most part the barbers do a great job. They keep the place clean, everyone seems nice. My only issue here is that there doesn't seem to be a set order system so if you go when it's crowded you never know when you'll get called. I went on a Saturday and after an hour and a half we left because people that came in way after we're being seen and we weren't sure when we were next. The best time to go seems to be before 5 during the week. read more

She didn't give me a specific name of who to ask for.....Well my sons went to get edge ups and both of them were CUT UP!!! Literally, they had scabs around their edges in two days. My 16-month old son received his first haircut today and the experience was amazing. They all genuinely cared for him (and us) as we embarked on this challenge. They provided us with a sheet for his first haircut and a bag for his hair! DC (our barber) was amazing with my son! He was loving, patient, and kind. I had been using this barber shop for about 5 years before i had to move to Fairfax. They are all good barbers but if you want a good cut, its a good 45-1.5hr wait if they are busy!!!! Very few times have i gone and KayGee(the best barber there) didn't have someone in the chair. Also, the prices are pretty high for a simple cut. Over $20 with tip!!! I have since found the same quality barber shop in Fairfax for $13= cut with hot towel & razor (Trieu's Barber Shop). But if I'm in the Woodbridge area I'll use ProStyln! read more

Will not go here again, after going here a few times. The barbers consider themselves superstars, and make customers wait endlessly, ur treated as though its a special gift to be able to get a haircut there. nonexistent organization or customer service for an overpriced simple buzz cut that is only regular looking, not a super cut or anything. Barbers give prioity to customers at will and/or leave at anytime and make you wait..Find somewhere else to get your haircut done. read more

No prices are posted but the barber charged $13 and $19 for a 6 and 11 year old. Too steep for a basic cut in this area in my opinion, so we wont be back. I have been a client at this barber shop since 2008, I am VERY pleased with the customer service. My son has been going to Gee since his first haircut and he is now 5, he is great with kids and very efficient. He is sure to get you in the chair and out with a GREAT cut. Every barber in the shop is very respectable, there is no foul language and they insure to be careful about the topics they speak on when children are in the building. I wouldn't choose any other barbershop to go to in the Woodbridge area. read more

Will not be going again! They spend entirely too much time conversing rather than actually cutting hair. I waited for almost 45 minutes with only 1 person in front of me. Then another 45 minutes in the chair when I was only getting a shape up and taper, which looked horrible. I can't say all the barbers were horrible though. From the looks of it, "Q" and the female barber "Sha" are good. I expected way more professionalism and defiantly a better cut for the prices they are charging. Very dissapointed.....went there with my 5yr old, didn't wait long and the man in the first chair was very welcoming and friendly!!! But I will say the rude one that my son got stuck with in the 5th chair got on my last nerve!!!! I walked my son to the chair and explained we are new here from NY and I am trying to find a barber, not once did this punk look up at me and didn't stop a second from chewing his dam gum like a cow. I then explained how I like my sons hair cut... Didn't respond to me nothing.... OK so I gave him a chance and let him start!!!! Well I walked out with my other son and left my husband in the barber shop.... Well as he gets in the car and I see the hack job this guy gave my son I was furious!!!!! I am super picky with my sons hair !!! My sons 5 and this guy not once said a word to him but stopped in the middle of my sons hair cut to mess with another little boy...its a shame its a great shop and iv seen a lot of good haircuts walking out but not from this guy!!!!!! I would've given 4 stars based on the long wait time however because the cut was worth the wait and I went on a busy Easter Sunday, I won't say anything else about the hour long wait. My son is biracial and it is extremely difficult to find a barber who can work with his hair but I was very pleased with how his hair turned out. It was exactly what I asked for and even more than what I had expected! Service-wise I think that the staff could definitely be a bit more friendly but again, what really matters to me is the haircut itself and with that alone I couldn't have been more pleased. read more

Didn't wait long but the "Barber's" chair i sat in did exactly the opposite of what I asked him to, was cursing and talking the whole time. I still gave my $20+, since my barber moved i was looking for a steady place to go....this won't be the place. But the lady barber beside mine, was professional and asked him not to curse on the floor....and he got an attitude with her. Smh. This is a reason why we can't build our African American businesses. We've been going here for 3 years. The barbers know my sons and myself and treat us as family. We typically use Corey and Pat but have used Q as well. All 3 cut hair extremely well. I have a special needs son and they are extremely patient with him and work within his limits. The barbers are constantly talking to each other and customers as they work and joking around the entire time. The only reason I did not give 5-stars is because some barbers stop cutting hair while talking so although customers are entertained while waiting, the wait is very long at times. The outcome is worth the wait. My sons have never had cuts on their neck or anything like that as described by other customers. I've seen some barbers come and go over the past 3 years so strongly recommend getting a referral so you use the regular barbers. Pat, Corey, Q, Sha Sha and Keith are all awesome. read more

My son is mixed race. Hispanic and black. I came to this barber shop because the last time I came the guy Devon that was here did a great job with my son's hair texture. My son has very thin hair and I get him a taper cut/shape up only, on the side and on the bottom back of his head/neck. The rest of his hair stays long. My first question to the new barber, I don't even know her name but she's a lesbian female who dresses and looks like a man, was "can you cut style his hair texture?" she began to brag about how she's been doing it for 20 years and blah blah blah so I said okay let me give her the benefit of the doubt. I showed her a picture of my son when he got his haircut at the old barber(I only tried to find a new barber because prices went up to $30 at the place I used to take my son). She said okay she can do it. I will post both pictures on this review if it allows me to, so you all can see the mess this barber gave my son. She started with taking all the hair from his forehead, he had soft hair so his hair is to be cut differently this a person wth thicker hair. Hence the reason I showed her the picture. She began with cutting his hair which I asked her not to touch saying and argued that you wouldn't see his shape up if she removed it(no other barber has ever argued with me about that because my son is 7 and we don't need to be taking his hair line all the way back! Anyways a terrible experience. I asked her to fix it and she refused so I stepped out the shop and called non emergency because she took my money but didn't at least try to fix it. I wasn't trying to get my money back, it's my son's bday tomorrow so I truly wanted a great cut for him and she ruined it for him! When she found out that I called mom emergency 911 she gave me my money and said "here you go because you came for a free cut" that was disrespectful but I wasn't going to argue about it because I never ever under tip, or "try to get things for free" I am a very hard working single mother and I pay for everything I and my son have so tomme that was the most disrespectful part of this horrible experience I had today!
