I moved to the Woodbridge area recently and needed a new barber so I turned to Yelp for guidance. After reading the few good reviews on this place, I decided to give it a try especially since I read about the personal massage. I waked in and was greeted warmly. I explained that I wanted just a little bit of hair chopped off the top and a low bald fade. Needless to say, after she finished I almost cried. I have been getting my hair cut at Southbridge barbershop since it first opened, and in that time I have always been more than happy with the way my hair looks... but that isn't why I am writing this review. I am writing this review because of the level of service that everyone can expect when visiting this shop. As soon as you enter the shop, you are greeted warmly by the staff, and you can't help but feel that you are among friends. Grace, the proprietor, is a charming woman who is attentive to your grooming requirements, and all of the staff are skillful practitioners of the haircutting arts. In the years that I have been using this shop, I have come to know Grace and the other barbers and I have never seen anyone leave the shop unhappy with the way they look. If you live in the Woodbridge/Dumfries area, I strongly recommend that you give this shop a try! read more

I walked in this afternoon on a whim, recalling at the last second that I needed a haircut. The place was your standard strip mall business, and nothing really out-of-the-ordinary with furnishings - chairs, mirrors, and shears. Grace greeted me and immediately invited me to her seat (it was a slow day). She was very nice. She listened to my request, and then got to work. Not much talking, but that's okay, since I'm not good with small talk. After the cut, she pulled out a mirror and showed me my fabulous cut! I thought that was it, but I was wrong... Grace draped a shoulder/back massage contraption and turned it on. As the machine applied it's programmed settings, poking and vibrating, Grace was busy wrapping a hot towel around my head and neck. After that, she gave me a neck massage, then an upper back massage, and ended it with a nice scalp massage. All-in-all, it was another 5 minutes spent pampering ME, which totally put them at 5-stars. There is nothing like getting a nice neck, shoulder, scalp massage after a haircut!! The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. Whether they provide this service when the shop is full of waiting customers--not sure--but today was a good day for me! I'll definitely be back! read more

went to South bridge this morning off a whim, i normally go to Mosaic up the road across from the burger king. where all the barbers are good but i live across the street from South bridge plaza, its been for about a week now. Anyway i walked in this morning and stood there for a few mins until the ladies noticed me and Susie invited me to her chair and took my request i told her what haircut i wanted and she hooked me up. she showed me the mirror, shaped me up, combed,brushed and blow dried my hair. After all that she went and got a warm towel and began massaging my head which feels really good when you get a skin fade lol, overall the service and haircut was good this will be my new barbershop and Susie is my new barber. GREAT JOB!!! read more

I took my middle school-er son there for a hair cut. It is the closest one to my home. He wanted the sides cut at #2 and the top #4. The short lady there who is probably the owner apparently did not know how to do a transition cut from #2 to #4 so she went ahead and chopped all his hair at #2. After about five minutes from starting time, she said she was done . My son was very disappointed and sad with the unprofessional or rather the incompetent hair cut. He kept feeling the shortness of his hair on top. He kept looking in the mirror and worrying how embarrassed be may be when he goes to school the next day. I wonder how this woman got her license and whether she has a real one. She obviously does not care whatsoever, or is not capable at all, of performing her duties correctly. All she cares about is collecting payment from the customer within the least amount of time. It is too bad that giving her less that one star is not a option. read more
