Stopped in to Pro Tailoring at the end of my street to get some pants hemmed for an interview the following day. They charged me a very small fee for my expedited order, which I was happy to pay. I was paying triple downtown or at those chain stores where u can tailor while u wait. Awesome place for alterations. Came here to get a bridesmaid dress taken in at the bust and waist a considerable amount. My dress had a lot of boning and structure to it so I was really amazed when my dress came back fitting perfectly! I think I paid about $30 to get my dress altered which is a great deal considering the work that was done to it. I went on 3/27/20 to get my dress altered here. I asked her to fix the straps and the bottom needed to be shortened. When I had the dress on, it needed extra cups to give the girls support... she told me she could not do it and to tape them with duct tape ‍ so at that time i said ok, well we can loosen the straps and shorten the length. When I picked it up, she told me to try on at home. So I did.. dress was completely ruined. The straps were extremely loose where the dress was way lower than my breasts. And the bottom was completely uneven. Having to take it to another alterations because who would want to go back to the same place who ruined the dress to begin with? SO i called her last Thursday, left a VM on her business phone then she states in message "if need to talk to me, please call this number." So i did, Thursday- Monday. I hear back today Tuesday. And she was completely unprofessional. I respectfully asked for my money back.Telling me that normally for bridesmaid dresses it comes up uneven sometimes and that it needs two alterations. She did not tell me that. And telling me that i rushes into this, ( i took this dress in March when she told me to) She would not let me speak, and would not answer my question if she would reimburse me. She just kept saying "I'm sorry you decided to take it elsewhere, that is your decision" well OFCOURSE it's my decision. Why would anyone want to go back to a place who messed up SIMPLE ALTERATIONS. And what policy? I'm sorry, but if you are a PRO TAILOR , why should any customer come back for a second fitting and see the dress is uneven ,when YOU took the measurements the 1st time?! I find the process of finding a tailor to be very frustrating because I can never find the prices for services before arriving and being surprised. I went to Pro Tailoring because reviews had included prices - so I felt more comfortable. I had two dresses altered - one knee-length dress taken in on the sides ($25) and one maxi dress hemmed (dress and liner - $20.50). Those prices were reasonable to me. The quality is good. My one comment on the knee-length dress being taken in was that the dress is striped and after alteration, the stripes don't line up perfectly on the sides. It's not totally obvious, and no one will probably be inspecting. However, the maxi dress and liner were perfect - stripe integrity was maintained. So it's 50/50 for stripe integrity. I took a pair of pants to have hemmed - $10. Very reasonable. I will continue coming here because the price is right and the turnaround is about a week. read more

Took my wedding dress there to be altered. The dress was very long on me and the sleeves were a little loose on my arms. Took about a week to alter and the woman did a terrific job! She hemmed the dress right to the floor and took the sleeves in just enough that I could still fit my hands through the holes. My dress is perfect can't wait to wear it for my special day! Very reasonable prices. It was about $13 to get pants turned into shorts and about $11 to have jeans hemmed. Non-expedited turn around on both orders was about a week. For hemming, you can just specify how much you want taken off or you try the clothes on and be measured. The lady who does the work was good at measuring a modern fit and seemed confident in herself. I was pleased with both things that I took here and will keep this place in mind in the future. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. I went there to have a suit jacket taken. I asked the lady how much it would cost, and she rudely replied $45. As though, my question was not appropriate. I proceeded to ask her about the process ( i.e., approximate completion date, how she would make the jacket smaller, etc.) since she didn't ask me to wear it and she snapped back with, "Do you want to do this or not". She then said that the cost would be $75. I finally left and will never return. read more

Horrible ownership/customer service. I called in earlier in the day to confirm hours and general pricing to have 2 shirts and a suit jacket tapered. Shortly later, after driving 15 minutes to get there, the owner (who didn't bother to get off the phone from her personal phone call) proceeded to say "oh I'm too backed up to do anything for you" as I walked in the door. She proceeded to ignore me and go back to her phone call. When I asked why she didn't say that before when I called a little bit ago, she just looked at me with distain. And finally after an awkward silence said "fine it will be at least 4 weeks" and she went back to her call. Needless to say, I left. Thought I'd give a new place a shot but definitely not her after this experience. read more

The most unprofessional and worst tailor I have ever encountered! She has ruined a couple of things of mine and could have cared less. She says she can do something and when you go get it, she didn't do it. She is not reasonable. A hem and a little waist adjustment was $40.00! Customer service leaves much to be desired. She acts like she did you favor and doesn't care if you come back or not. I took in a pair of jeans and said I wanted the original hem. She said she could do it. She didn't do it and left marks all along the hemline. I took in a pair of paints to get taken in a little and she took them in too much. I took them back to tell her and she wanted to charge ME to fix what she did wrong! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THAT PLACE!! I wanted a pair of Levi jeans shortened by a couple inches. I wore boots on purpose that day to get a specific break for those boots. I mentioned to them to keep the original hem. But I just got home and pulled them out of the bag and the hems are gone! What kind of Levi jeans do you have without the famous Levi hem? Tanya was so helpful when I went in to get my bridesmaid's dress altered. I was new to the whole finding-a-tailor process and went somewhere else for a consultation and it just didn't feel right but then my aunt recommended I go here. The other tailor tried to do all this extra work that would have taken the dress apart and when I took the dress to Tanya, she found a way to minimize the work and get the same, if not better result. She did such quality work for less than the other tailor and I felt at ease leaving my dress with her. I completely trust her with any outfit of any material.
