I have been a "Home Agent" with PTN for a little more than a year, during this time commissions were not paid. I have followed the process of contacting their Commissions Department by email supplying all of the information regarding my unpaid invoices. I have included the "Jessica" and Manager "Maggie Corona" and AP person Rudy Tandio only to be told repeatedly that they do not have the funds to pay commissions based on their relationship with Surge(which ended a year ago). I trusted Jessica at that time and listened to her rhetoric about making the company strong again blah blah blah. I love helping people to travel and make awesome memories with their friends and family. There is potential to earn great money as a travel agent. I had a lot of customers but began to turn them away as I was working very hard but not receiving a commission for my work. Their rules are that you will be paid commission 6 to 8 weeks after your client travels. Unfortunately, to date, it has been over 18 years since my clients have traveled, and I am still owed close to $4,000 in commission. I have been more than patient every few months asking for payment that is owed to me and there is always an excuse why they can't pay me. The explanations have varied from getting a new CEO, to restructuring the company, to balancing the books, to finalizing a lawsuit, to the most recent excuse of a new company taking over. I am angry that they are taking advantage of their Travel Agents and recently hired a lawyer. I know of several people that are owed money as well. It is unfortunate because I like the travel options that they provide. However, I will find another company because I refuse to continue allowing them to STEAL my earnings. It's time to pay up, and my lawyer will see to it that they pay my commissions, my monthly fees, and extra since it has taken so long. My advice, don't work for them unless you enjoy working for free! read more

Company will not pay commission. They just charge the monthly fee to agents and then you have to spend six months to a year begging for your earned commission while they charge you a monthly fee like clock work. The commissions department claims to not have a number they only accept emails that they don't answer. They don't return call. Buyer beware. I give them a rating of ZERO!!! read more

Terrible service. Called yesterday and was transferred to an agent. She took my information (number and email). She told me she would call me in 15-20 min and email me rates for airfare. She never did. Called today and was transferred to the agent, but she did not answer. The guy who transferred me took my name and number and said someone would call me. That did not happen either. Pro Travel Network (PTN) is not a reputable or professional company. I have been an independent agent with PTN for almost three years and have had difficulty from day one with timely payment of my commissions. I have been waiting for ten months for payment from travel completed in January 2018. Since the CEO and staff lack professionalism and refuse to accept or return telephone calls, I have written numerous emails requesting payment. I was ensured by the CEO, in February 2018 that they would be up to date on the commission payouts in 90 days.I'm still waiting for payment. I have had enough of their charades and plan on initiating legal action. Based on the reviews of other travel agents, I am not the only person that has been robbed by this company. Something must be done to stop this unethical and unlawful practice of keeping commissions that travel agents have earned. If you are looking for a host agency to start a home based travel agency STAY CLEAR of PTN. They will only take your money and use it to fund their operating expenses. read more

I have nothing good to say about this place. I gave it 1 star because Yelp made me do that. I went in trying to plan a Trip to Belgium for my wife and I. On my first visit I was helped by Alex, he was very nice and helpful and took all my info saying that he would research it and get back to me the next day. I didn't hear from him. Three days later, I went back in to see what info he had come up with. He didn't have any time to look anything up yet. I told him that my wife an I were excited about planning this trip, and I would like to get things decided and paid for in the next couple of days. He said he would E-Mail me with a few itineraries to choose from that night. Again, I didn't hear from him. I left a couple of messages and he didn't return my calls. 4 days later, I went back in there and he was not in and I was told the entire office was going to be closed for a week because they were all going to Cabo. Must be nice. The person I was talking told me there wa nothing he could do to help me since I was Alex's client. I explained to him how nothing was getting done and he still would not help me. So, I did my own research and booked my own trip. Just for fun, I called back and spoke with Alex asking how my trip was coming along. He said he found a few great deals and he'd email me right away with them... It's been 2 months and I have not gotten an email or follow up phone call. This place sucks! Used this company in north Fresno on Jennifer Ave one time to book a european cruise. Would give them less than one star. Difficult from start to finish. Messed up the plane tickets, excursions and transfers. Would not respond when we tried to call or email. When we came back, management apologized a gave us a small credit. read more

Completely unreliable. The agent said she would get back to us with a proposed itinerary within 24-48 hours. We didn't hear back from her within that time frame but we didn't think much about it because we assumed she was busy and would contact us. About a week later I sent her an email asking for a status update. She replied the next day saying she'll have something to us by the end of the day. Did we hear back? NO! So we finally gave up on her and emailed her back over a week later saying we won't be using her services. Again zero response! Smh read more

Rediculously bad service. At least 2 agents who were "helping" us plan our cruise were fired. No one bothered to pick up our booking. Shouldn't the manager, Jessica, have taken some initiative to make sure the client was taken care of? Our payments were not all forwarded to the cruise line as promised. We were given NO help in how to access activities, excursions, luggage tags, travel docs, or information about what to expect on our first cruise. I had to spend hours researching Carnival's web pages to learn about what was available and what to expect for my teenaged daughter and I on this vacation. Pro Travel did NONE of the work, offered no assistance, and offered no services. What are they paid to do? Why use a travel agent? We did everything ourselves and will never use or recommend Pro Travel again! Good luck to those who think they'll get assistance from this staff. As an Independent Home Agent with PTN, for a little more than a year, I am finding that they fail to pay commissions in a timely matter. I completed a group sailing on July 30, 2018, and I have still not been paid the commission due. Additionally, I sent emails in October and twice in November and NO ONE has replied even though their policy is "24 - 72 hours" for reply. I called and was told there is no one you can speak to. We pay monthly for the travel agent business and I am at the point of filing a complete with the attorney general. If you are looking for a home business as a travel agent, this is not the company to go with. read more

It is so sad that companies like ProTravel are able to continue to operate when they have received money from Vendors but do not pay the Travel Agent. If you do a large booking, you need to think twice unless you are doing volunteer work. The reply I received from Jessica is that they are waiting for the money to be wired to them. I pay my monthly fee every month but after this month they will not be getting any more. When I go to my back office, they have removed all paid and not paid commission. They have a note that if you cancel your subscription, your commission will be forfeit. They say this so they can continue to get monthly fees. I called each vendor and hey said they have been receiving so many complaints and if the Agents didn't file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau that they will continue to rip people off. They started off blaming Surge 365. How can they blame anyone when the Vendors send the money to them. read more

This travel agency was very inattentive with our reservations. There was a lack of communication between the agent and my party for over a month span. The calls and emails went unanswered for hours and even days at a time. We inquired about the travel insurance policies and was given incorrect information. We were offered many additional amenities during the process to subside the inconveniences that occurred throughout this process. Upon concluding the reservation and providing a hefty deposit, the promises of the included incentives disappeared. I am highly dissatisfied with the lack of customer service we received during this strenuous process. I DO NOT recommend using these agents because they lack any sort of tact when it came to prominent concerns from their clientele, the untrained staff who lack integrity and the lack of options provided by the agents for discontent. read more

We planned an Alaskan cruise and thought it was going to be a great experience after our initial meeting. Paid our deposit and was given paperwork stating our final payment would be due 15 days later which we did. Found out a few days later that we were overcharged $1200. *Our credit card was authorized to be charged on 2 dates, however they ran it 3 x's* I called to speak to our agent (who was out due to an illness) so I spoke with the manager instead. She was very condescending and at one point told me she had many things that needed to be done instead of sitting on hold with the cruise line so she hung up on them. She promised a phone call back that day with answers but to no avail. I called the next day and was treated like I was inconveniencing her. She did get us $1000 back but proceeded to tell us we missed our payment due date (which she states was the day following deposit) even though every document we had stated something else, as well as reminder calls from the agent stating what our paperwork said and had to pay the $200 as a rebooking fee. At one point, our agent told us ProTravel would write us a check for $200 to cover the overpayment but we have yet to see this money. 4 weeks have passed since the overpayment and we have not seen all of the money. Our agent does not answer our calls nor will he return messages. In addition to the overpayment, we were told by our agent that he would search flights for us. Other than our initial meeting, he did not follow through whatsoever. We were never contacted with flight information or choices. Although the cruise line was very nice, this experience has been nothing but a headache. We will never use ProTravel again, nor would I recommend it to others. my husband and i had to plan a very last minute honeymoon and had the pleasure to mainly work with jessica. shes the main go to person for engaged couples who are planning their honeymoon..and we were in good hands for the most part. now, we didnt exactly make it easy for our travel agent cause we both had no idea where to go or even how long we wanted to stay but jessica was great, friendly, personable and very considerate in trying to get us exactly what we wanted..even if we didnt know what it was at the time. ultimately we decided to go to cancun and jessica worked and made phone calls right away if there wasnt a question she could not answer. when jessica wasnt around, we had to work with a few of her other staff who all were also very helpful and friendly and it is very obvious that they all view customer satisfaction as a priority. now onto the 1 negative star: our flight had two stops. the first stop was only an hour, the second was like 3 hours. for the longer flight, we were seated completely at opposite ends of the airplane! now as a newly wedded bride and groom who JUST got married and are on their way to their honeymoon..this was crazy to me that this had been over looked. and maybe my husband and i should have caught it too and tried to change it but i think we were just too busy and exhausted by the wedding and assumed we would have been made sure to be seated next to each other both flights. when we got on and asked the flight attendant if there was any extra seats or open spots she said it was a completely full flight and suggested we just ask the people next to us if they would mind switching. the only problem with this was the two sitting next to me were also young newlyweds going on their honeymoon and my husbands neighbors just said no they didint want to. when we got back, pro travel called me to see how everything went and were extremely apologetic to hear my complaint. they sent me a beautiful bouquet of tulips (in a vase with bow and all!) and apologized numerous times. i understand that mistakes happen and have been able to over look the mistake just because the jessica and her staff had great customer service and i honeslt believe they truely really did have our best interest at heart. i would go there again and recommend them...just give urself time to go over the paperwork to make sure your seated to your new husband read more

Worst possible place to book your travel with. A Women named Lisa Please please do not use her. She will say she is working on it and is going to call you back and never does. Then books the latest possible flight and when asked to change it sends an itinerary over saying we have enough room on the plane for all members in party, but an hour before flight calls and says made a mistake and only room on plane for 3 out of 5 people!! and the rest of the party had to come 5 hours later!! I should have known when we walked in to first start our booking with her she was on the phone with a large group who was trying to leave and same situation on getting their seats and itinerary!. She really screwed us over and I hope she is penalized for it!! read more

worst customer service ever!!!!! went to plan a trip to Hawaii since September of 2013. was "helped" by Richard and told he was the best for this trip since he goes around 4 times a year. Richard painted a pretty picture and promised us the best trip ever. however, it took two weeks to hear back from him with only half of the trip planned. when I asked how much the airfare would be, he told me not to worry that I would get a great deal and to just start paying the trip off. keep in mind this was in sep, I kept asking him for the total and kept calling and texting and emailing and did not hear from him until December when he told me that the best prices for airfare was January. January came and went and still nothing, I ended up planning my own trip, got a better price and cancelled with them. we're in feb already and I still have not received my money back. ive spoken to Richard and the manager Jessica who is totally unprofessional and still nothing has been resolved. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS PEOPLE. they are unprofessional and do not help at all. Booked travel to get my 21 year old son back east for school sign ups, first it took for ever for the lady that helped us to get our itinerary correct. I should have bailed on this place then, but we proceeded. When my son arrived at his destination, the rental car company refused to give him a car, he was under 25 and had cash but no money in his bank account. Why weren't we told about the overcharge on the rental car? It was OUR FAULT, for not reading the contract. None of the solutions we tried would solve the problem, so they washed there hands of this, refunded my money for the rental car and suggested that my son arrange for a taxi to take him 35 miles from the airport. Thanks Jessica, wait until you have kids and have a situation like this, your son is in Iowa and we are in Fresno and no resolution. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! - Smart consumers should be aware of what cruise or airfare costs are before going to Pro Travel Fresno or you can find yourself paying hundreds more than buying from the airline or cruise line directly. As a former employee, I know that It is Pro Travel sales policy to add mark ups as high as possible to make more money for the company on top of commission paid by cruise lines and tour companies. I have seen mark ups on cruises & vacation packages sometimes over $4,000 and sometimes as much as $500 on travel insurance costs. The only time things are not marked up is if the customer knows the price already. They also lie to customers telling them their cruise or trip is non-refundable when the cruise line usually allows no cancellation penalty until final payment is due. Do not pay in Cash or Check or you will never get your money back if you have to cancel! Most agents are salespeople who don't have any training or travel experience other than watching owner's videos that can be found on You Tube - they don't know the difference between the cruise lines, ports or ships. This is not the case at professional travel agencies where travel agents go through extensive & ongoing training. If you really want help from a knowledgeable travel professional go to an agency with agents who actually have training and travel experience and not a business that is run like a used car lot where the goal is to extract as much money as possible from each client! Agents pay is docked unless they get at least 3 google or yp reviews each month so many of these reviews are made up by the agents themselves. read more
