Got my 2014 Toyota Corolla tinted here for about $150. Tint job was decent, however there were small bubbles and many cuts and slits throughly the rear tint. Most places would charge about $200 for a really good job but I guess I got what I paid for. Would not recommend to anyone who wants a really good tint job. read more

I wanted them to install some speakers and a sub woofer i had. they were to provide 2 amplifiers, one for the inside speakers and one for the sub. the amps they installed were used and pieces of garbage. they took 2 days to install and when i picked it up it sounded like crap. they completely wired the system wrong and tried to blame it on my sub being broken. Never going back I install a remote start from them, now every time I press the remote car alarm goes on, went back to them. They were telling me I have to make an appointment with a deposit of $20, I did. But for some reason can't trust them so I went back and and cancel the appointment they telling me they can't give my deposit back, the guy want to almost fight with me. I went to ProTronix on 10/23, 2015 to have a battery replaced in my remote start control. They said that it will need to be reprogrammed and they would do it for a fee. I let them reprogram it and paid the fee. It was tested there and my remote starter worked. The next morning I tried to start it and it no longer worked so I brought it back the next day. The owner of the shop told me that he is not reprogramming it again unless I pay for it again. He was very arrogant about it and looked at me like I don't care if you like it or not. After arguing with him I just gave up and asked for my keys and drove off. This shop (the owner) has very, very, very poor customer service. They're only nice to you when you first come in and spend your money. Don't have an issue because that's when the rudeness and unprofessional attitude comes out. Please!!! Go someplace else; there are lots of other companies in the area that can do the same work. read more

HORRIBLE!!!I'm a 48yr Old Man who has experience on good tints on all my vehicles,,.the guy who installs the Tints "John" who happens to be the manager did a Horrible job trapping dust on the glass that was evident days later,,The glass on my vehicle wasn't prepped Properly Before the tint!!! I was called down from my town 15 miles away under the presumption my roofing could be done for $200.. when I came here the price was hacked to $350 he said he wanted to make Atleast $150 off of us having no time to spare we agreed to it only to be told that the airbags are more and I quote LONGER than they expected it's an armada you freaking genius you saw the car inside out before taking it and they wanted extra 85$ labor to fix the airbags we are like forget it you just put the roof we will add the airbags air self right here and he's like I can't let you work on my property it's his responsibility ... WTH?? it's my car and you didn't even give me a receipt so if gets stolen you never had the car to begin with technically worse place over I am surprised they are still open NEVER AGAIN so now we are going to give him $400 and he's only going to do half the work ...it depends apparently on how much work he can get done ...in that money !!! Seriously I mean seriously !!! UPDATE : we are being returned our car they told us to put the airbags ourself and he will just put the roof !!! Worst place to come to for your car needs,this groupon has cost me a fortune. I wouldnt even dare to give a star to these ppl but had to just so you can read this warning. I had an appointment at 10am for a starter and i even threw in some extra money for them to put some daylights on didnt even need them. They said my car was going to be done in 3 hrs top. Its 3:30pm and im still here now theyre telling me another 1-2hrs.... (i mean are they serious?)I had a meeting at 3pm now i have to reschedule for a later time and take a lyft thats going to cost me $116 one way to malborough nj from where i am and then come back another $116 to get my car. My groupon was $89 and i had to pay $300 more with their bullshit scam.They dont even know what bullshit to sell you to spike up the price acting like this is my first rodeo with starters. They want to charge you for every button on the starter after you already purchased the dam thing, to push the open door button they want to charge $25 if you want it to sound the alarm another $30 while this is supose to all come with the starters these ppl charge for every wire they connect. Never again will i come here nor recommend anyone to come. Please Warn ppl and dont buy their bullshit groupon its a scam. read more

The guy that does the wiring for the car alarm systems does not do a good job. Everything is connected with electric tape. No soldering no butt connectors nothing. Another thing is the owner says one price and charges you another they told me a price "that included tax" when I check the receipt he still goes and charges tax on the original price he told me.... read more

They ran me around for about a month before my car got in, them halfway thru the job they told me the bypass was $250.00 after I had requested a call before any work being performed. No stars from me!!! They were recommended by the OWNERS father. A few months ago I needed a simple head light replaced. I bought the replacement bulb next door where I met the father and he told me to go next door because his son owns it & It was replaced quickly by lovely technician. Fast forward to today, that's where my experience goes sour. I needed the same thing another bulb replaced only this time I was encountered by a counter worker that just was not in the mood to work and stated replacing my bulb was a complicated task and they didn't have the time and told me by the way it was by appoint only. HAHaHa what a joke!!! I reminded him of my past experience and he could care a less. I even told him I had a great experience before and that the owners father referred my, again he couldn't care instead kept smoking his cigarette acting like I was a fly he was trying to swat away with his words. I went to them to install a backup camera that i supplied. They said I got a great deal charged me 100.00. It worked for one day. I went back to them and they said it was the camera. The place sent me another camera to install. I had to return the old one. When I went back and told them I needed to return the old one he proceeded to cut it and said "tell them that it was not hard wired" Why would you do that. sloppy . They added the new camera and still did not work again. I paid 40 dollars. They said go to Jeep it was that the flash that stopped working. I went back to Jeep and they laughed me out of the place. They said that any installation place would see that it says "check entire surroundings" when I went into reverse . It could not be the Flash. I went back and begged them to check it again. At this point I just wanted to know what was wrong. I also asked for them to check and see why I had a little leak in the back. Water coming in where the wires were. They said no problem they will look at everything. 4 hours later I go back and was told they the problem had to be the radio Video input. He said he spent a long time looking into it that i should buy his parts because then he can get it to work. He charged me 40 more dollars. He also said he sealed the antenna where he thought the water was coming in from. I went back to jeep and they explained that I should go back and get all my money back because it was not the radio Video input. . No way it was the radio. I also was tipping the installer 10 and twenty dollars. Shame on me . I did not know what to do at this point. I was tired of paying Pro Tronix for nothing. I did not understand because they explained how they were experts on what they do. Pretty funny After talking to many people ( my neighbors as well) how they were ripped off by them I could not to go back . I went to Totowa Audio ll in Woodland Park 250 Browertown Rd,. They were the real deal. Knowledgeable, friendly, fair priced . Really great bunch of guys. I told them my story and they felt bad for me and look at the the truck right away. It was 100 degrees. He first looked at it real quick and after 5 min.... yes 5 min... he knew exactly what was wrong. He got it to work in 5 min. He explained how sloppy everything was. The camera hook up was a mess. The wiring was all over ( Sloppy) He explained what was wrong and said they should have picked up on it quick. He said he could also fix the leak because the water was coming from the whole where the wires for all the electronics in the car was sitting. Yes you guessed it! Crazy. exactly where Pro tronix ran the wires. i left came back in an hour and half later. He re -wired everything I upgraded the Camera at a great price. When I go home I ran water to check for a leak and it was gone. Amazing. I had a great back up system and a car with no leak. I am so happy. I will say pro tronix were never nasty to me like everyone else who used them explained. I just think they don't care and really not as smart as they claim If I went to Totowa Audio ll in the first place I would have never had this nightmare of a problem. I would not go to Pro tronix . they may be good at somethings but back up cameras for a car/Truck they are not. stay away at all costs . I will say the father was a really nice guy. read more

Shady business practices. Purchased a Groupon which stated $89 for a remote control Starter with installation. ($250 value). When we came to pick up the car, they made me pay $125 for the starter.. they stated groupon was only for installation. There are all these other fees in the fine print that they do not explain untll the car is complete.. they don't even tell you. They did tell me that if I wanted a parking light, it would be $25, which I added.. They NEVER mention the groupon does not cover what you order.. Then they were extremely RUDE and yelling at us because we showed up at 8:01pm instead of by 8:00pm, due to the rain. I will be reporting to the BBB and to Groupon with shady business practices.. Id give this place half a star if I could. huge piece of shit. All the workers tell you different prices. They dont know how to explain anything to you if their lives depended on it. I was told to come pick the car up at 8pm. Then they finished the car at 7pm..I said I will try and make it by 8 then. I got a phone call telling them noone is going to be there at 8pm sharp you have to be here. I arrived at 8:02 and told them off. They were cursing at us saying youre late we want to go home its after 8pm!! Is that how you treat your customers after they pay you $150 bucks to get a special offer for their car?! You own a business just because someone is late 2 minutes on a Tuesday night when they were originally told to come at 8 doesnt mean you should threaten to leave someones car there without explaining to them how to use it!!!
