I bought a Rivian R1T to start a small business, but a month into it, I got rear-ended by an 18-wheeler, which left my truck with a destroyed bumper, towing chassis, and rear quarter panels on both sides. I spent weeks visiting various shops, trying to find someone who could handle the repairs and add a few custom mods. I even got estimates from Rivian-certified shops, but they suggested I declare the truck a total loss, which was not an option for me. After weeks of searching, I turned to Perplexity, an AI assistant, for help, and it recommended Fl3xin Autoworx. I reached out to one of the owners, Freddy, through Yelp, and he responded within five minutes. We discussed what I wanted, and he asked me to bring the truck in for an assessment. Freddy was upfront and honest; he even pointed out that the replacement quarter panels I bought weren't necessary because he was confident they could smooth out the existing ones--something not many body shops would suggest. I've had cars wrapped at shops in Jersey, Long Island, and Queens, and the wraps always started to peel within a few months. I liked them, so when my windshield squirter stopped working in May, I went back. They fixed it. They also told me that my 2019 Honda Insight was unsafe to drive because of the extremely poor condition of the tires and the brakes, and quoted me a little over $2000. The young woman was very firm. "I don't know who did your inspection, but it's really bad." I told her they had done the inspection and she denied it. "I don't have any record of that." The car had about 56,000 miles on it and I realized that it was about time to change the tires and replace the brake pads, so despite their apparent oversight on the inspection, I said to go ahead. A few minutes later she called me back. I had authorized her to put the same tires Michelin tires on, but she wanted to be sure I wouldn't prefer Goodyear tires, which would reduce the cost by $300. I'm getting ready to upgrade so I said yes. I appreciated her saving me some $$. I waited all the following day for a call. Finally I called around 3:30, and she answered. "Did Fernando call you about the brake pump?" She asked. He hadn't. "Well, there was a problem. When we worked on the brake pads, we noticed that the pump for emergency brake was broken and we replaced it. That's another $600." That seemed weird to me, but they showed me the broken part when I went in, so I paid and took the car. When I turned the car on, I got a series of error messages: 1. The tire pressure monitoring system was not working. 2. The vehicle stability assist system was not working. 3. The cruise control system was not working. 4. The collision mitigation braking system was not working. 5. The road departure mitigation system was not working. 6. The brake hold system was not working. It was almost 5, they were about to close, and I needed the car for the following morning. I assumed they had just forgotten to plug in the electronic fancy stuff, so I decided to try to drive the car, and the brakes seemed OK, so I decided to bring it back after my meeting the next morning. I discovered that the car was also pulling to the left, suggesting an alignment problem. I also discovered some kind of electronic device that had been left on the passenger seat. When I went back the next day, a guy I think is the owner was on duty, working on his computer. He acknowledged me with a glance and kept working. After a long moment, he said, "Sit down." "Excuse me?" I responded. "Sit down." I said, "There are problems with the car." "What kind of problems?" I told him. "Leave the car," he said, and went back to his computer work. I asked, "Do you have my number?" He said, "I know who you are. Leave the car." I got the impression that his English language skills are limited. I said, "Please check to make sure the other work was done correctly," gave him back the tool I found and left the car. About thirty minutes later, he sent me three photo. No message. No call. Three photos. One was of the underside of the car, with some leaves stuck in the axle. Another was of a dent in the front bumper that happened a few years ago when I misjudged the turn into a parking lot. The third was a photo of a computer screen that appeared to show an alignment system, but I couldn't be sure because everything was in Spanish. I called, and he told me the car was ready. "What happened?" I asked. "You hit a pothole," he replied. "I didn't hit a pothole." "Maybe someone else used the car." I tried to explain that the problems were there as soon as I started the car yesterday. I don't think he understood me. "The car is ready. Come in." So I went in, and the car was in fact ready. The alignment seems fine, and all the error messages disappeared. I discovered another tool lying on the front seat. I returned it. I believe that the "pump" was actually broken, because they showed me a part that looked like a broken pump, but honestly, I wonder if it was broken when I went in, or was damaged during the repair. I hope the car really is OK, but I'm going to upgrade as fast as I can. Bottom line, I wouldn't use this shop again if my car broke down in front of it.

On Friday mid morning when was trying to see if I could have my car fixed I called AAA to have my car towed to to this shop that was not to far from where I park. I was trying to have it fixed and drive back home to Mass. Ather I told the reseptionist and talk with the owner about what hapened his mechanic turned on the engine with out cooland and kept it runing and after that I left to have something to eat. When I returned the owner told me that my car engine was gone. I ask him to put coolant and that i will drive home, he told me that he could not do that. I did not want to leave my car there and desided to have my car towed to Mass, to my local town shop. I had to buy a plane ticket from La Guardia to Logan. The tow and plane ticket was over $1,000. next morning I spoke with my mechanic and told me that the car was done and to pic it up, i ask him how much ould it cost me and he responded nothing, he said that he just put coolant and was fine. The owner of 2020 charged me $156. I call 2020 auto owner on Monday after the weekend told him what my mechanic did and would not accnolege or take responsability.
