George (technician) arrived timely and was very thorough. He explained things to me every step of the way. He is approaching this very methodically - ok, so it's not the igniter, let's look at the next link in the chain... I saw George called out by name in other Yelp reviews, and I understand why he comes so highly recommended! He called the manufacturer to discuss his findings, but the manufacturer tech team wasn't available. He let me know he would be calling them again in the morning and that he would reach out to me with an update. I've had plenty of negative or so-so experiences with other service technicians from other companies. Nick replied quickly when I asked about getting my microwave repaired. At 16 years old, he recommended replacing it, and helped me ensure the one I bought from Lowes was the correct make and model. The tech that came out texted me when he was an hour out, which was a helpful amount of time because it narrowed the window but not by so much that if I had been busy I wouldn't have been able to break and let him in the house. He was very accommodating and scheduled me for the upcoming Wednesday between 4 and 6 p.m. Communication throughout the process was excellent, with both email and text updates. Luis arrived early and patiently waited for me to get home. He was a true professional, and I really appreciated his work ethic. He showed me how to change the filter and explained why I wasn't getting good airflow in my bedroom. Another thing I like about this company is that they don't try to sell you annual maintenance plans--in fact, they don't even offer them. They simply come when they're needed. I just had Elite back out to service/tune up my AC unit for annual maintenance (though admittedly I…read morehaven't had it done since they installed my unit in July 2022, so it was overdue). Other companies were a bit cheaper with coupons, but Elite had a $99 special and I wanted to go with them, since they installed the unit. The first time the technician (Steve) came out, he wasn't able to do anything due to my building's roof drain being clogged and the roof was basically flooded. He sent me a video so I was able to send it to our maintenance people and have them come fix that issue. After the roof was no longer a swimming pool, Steve came back out a week later and presumably did everything that was needed -- all seems to be working well, and he answered a couple of my questions and gave me an estimate for an ambient kit in case I want to run the unit when it's below 60 degrees outside (my condo gets really hot and retains heat). Overall, great customer service, super nice people. I'll continue to use them for my AC needs.
