Requested a quote via yelp for air duct cleaning and was given $349 from this company. Saw after that they have an offer on yelp for $250 off! When I clicked, it directed me to call them. They said they didn't know what the offer was. They then called me back and said typical price is $600 and that I was getting the $250 off. Yea right! They had no clue the offer was up (attached is proof) and tried to get full price and not offer the coupon. Not a good way to do business. Stand by your offer and don't lie after. I scheduled a repair appointment and provided all the necessary information upfront, including photos and the washer model number, for a simple rubber seal replacement. The technician showed up with the wrong parts -- frustrating, but mistakes happen. What's unacceptable is what came next: it took three more weeks to get back on the schedule, and then, 30 minutes before today's appointment, I received a call saying they could no longer make it. This is the second time I've taken a day off work for this repair, and it still isn't done. Poor communication and scheduling like this waste customers' time. They charge $110 for the visit. The tech said it is the AC contactor. He said you should pay $250 to get it from store because it is after noon. Then I purchased the same contactor for $40 and replaced it but the AC didn't run. Finally, I called another company and they checked and said it is the thermostat issue. They replaced the thermostat and now the AC is working. The 2nd company charged $180. I also attached the invoice here. I would not call these guys for anything. Also, after that I tried to sharer that the AC is fixed but the issue was not the contactor and you can see that this company accuses me that I fabricated the invoice myself. Very interesting how they made false judge without having facts. It seems their judgement on people is the same as their maintenance judgement. read more

We have a very old refrigerator that had recently gone bad. It wasn't cooling at all or freezing. We had contacted other techs that said unfortunately they could not fix because it may be a compressor issue and it was out of their scope. We were so lucky to find Val with Cold Zero HVAC. My washer works again! Fantastic service. Valdek called and said he was running early, and could be at my place to fix my washer in 15 minutes. His estimate was spot on because he was ringing my doorbell 15 minutes later. He arrived a full 30 minutes before the window of time he'd estimated, which for me was great. My washer's spin cycle hasn't been working for several days. It'll fill up with water but then just stop. I thought it might be the knob or something, but apparently it was an issue with the latch. He showed me and then fixed it. From arrival to departure it was 20 minutes. I'm obsessive about social distancing so whilst I interacted with him when necessary, he did what was needed quickly and efficiently which I really appreciated. I was able to pay contactlessly as well. I'm so glad he had what he needed to get the job done. I had a great experience with Cold Zero. Our old furnace had been struggling for the last couple weeks during the cold spell, and then last night at 3 am it suddenly started making a shockingly loud noise so we shut if off. Val was able to come out that same morning to do a repair. He quickly and straightforwardly walked me through what he was seeing, what his diagnosis was, and what my options were along with the pros/cons (costs) of each. We decided to replace some parts, so he went to the store to get them and came right back. In almost no time he had the parts replaced and the furnace working again. After making sure everything was running as expected, he went over the details of the warranty on the new parts, and provided a quote to replace the furnace should we want to do so in the future. I'll preface this with - I have a Bosch fridge and it's a tricky machine. This review is specifically about my experience having mine repaired here. When I was seeking out technicians, Val & Steve said they were familiar with Bosch so we had them come out when our fridge stopped cooling. They were responsive and prompt, charged $80 for diagnosis and I was able to pay credit card. Per their assessment, they suggested that our power module was out and to replace that first, charging labor of $220 if I used their parts and $250 if I bought my own. This difference in labor cost seems scammy to be but maybe it's common in the repair industry. If that didn't work, they said to try the control panel. They also said the error code "Lo" meant low voltage. All of this would run around $600-$700. After a lot of youtubing & googling of the issue, their assessment felt incorrect so I had a Bosch technician diagnose. Bosch was highly doubtful that the power module was the issue and recommended we replace the control panel. So I bought one on eBay for $100, installed it in 10 mins, and now have a cool & functional fridge. They also were not familiar with any kind of "low voltage" error code in 30 years of working on Bosch fridges. All of this is to say, if you do have one of these more complex fridges, it might help to have someone Bosch certified take a look. Bosch guy was able to diagnose it confidently and direct me to the right sequencing in part replacement. This saved me a ton of $$ in parts & labor and most importantly, my fridge works again. Pros: responsive, Val put in extra time to try and answer some questions I had, Steve was good at texting me back about which parts Cons: needed more Bosch specific expertise, I lost my trust after the explanation of the error code they shared was not familiar to anyone at Bosch, and pricing for both parts they recommended was 3x what was available online read more
