So glad we found this place! We've been working on a project at the house and wasted several trips…read moreto Home Depot and Lowes when we found Adams Lumber. They were super helpful and had exactly what we needed. If you're looking for any lumber related items come here instead of a big box store. They have great prices and know what they're talking about.

We ordered our materials for a sunroom remodel on May 13th and left feeling pretty positive. The…read moresliding door we needed wasn't in stock, so they ordered it. The lumber was delivered on the expected date of the 19th, and the delivery persons dropped it in the driveway. Tara had told my husband they would help us take it where we wanted. My husband moved all the supplies by himself to the back yard. Tara said she would check on that and never got back with us. The sliding door got an updated delivery date of June 8th. We were going to be finished by the room on May 30th and called them on the 22nd to cancel the door. They wouldn't cancel the order or work with us to restock it and charge a restocking fee. When we looked at the website it said there was a 30-day return policy. Tara said it was a special order and didn't qualify. So... we have a 72''x80'' door being delivered (we need 2 people there to help them) to our son's house sometime after the 8th - not sure exactly when. If you need one for an upcoming project, check Facebook. We'll be trying to offload it.

She acted like I was bothering her just by calling, gave short, unhelpful answers, and seemed completely disinterested in actually helping. If this is the kind of person they have representing their business at the front line, I can only imagine the rest of the operation. Customer service starts with the first point of contact, and unfortunately, Emily set the tone in the worst way possible. I won't be doing business here again, and I'd suggest others look elsewhere if you expect even basic professionalism.

My excuse is when they pre hang doors they actually set the hinges flush with the jamb and I haven't found that in Colorado yet. They also HAD a decent guy working trim. NOW the bad. If I could give zero stars I would. They never answer the phone so it's sometimes necessary to physically go there to make an order. This has been the same for the 3 years I've been going and it's gotten worse. Much worse. They flat out don't give a care about other human beings. Even the nice lady they hired to answer the phone complained that all the customers give her grief because nobody ever returns calls and it's worthless to transfer them to voicemail. The last order I specifically told their new guy Tom I don't want MDF jambs. He of course stated he would never get MDF jambs. I got MDF After waiting 11 days. The delivery never showed till 6:37pm and no phone call. More than 1/2 of the order was incorrect And it didn't show. Now 13 days after placing my order and complaining to the GM Tom calls me and tells me the door hardware was not ordered as he thought it was in stock. Now I get to wait another 2 weeks. He actually tried to blame me as I cancelled most of the order that wasn't delivered which was 2 days ago and he felt I cancelled the door hardware. I didn't. He knows and then quickly told me the previously mentioned reason. This is the worst place I've done business with since I started construction 37 years ago.

Armstrong Steel threatened to sue me over a negative Yelp review…read more They aggressively gave me two days (the weekend) to respond, so this interim review will be put in its place until I can obtain legal counsel and revise the original review. It is my opinion that you should not do business with Armstrong Steel. It is my opinion that Armstrong Steel has bad post-sale customer support. It is a fact that Armstrong Steel provided me with engineer stamped plans that did not comply with my local building codes. ****Buyer Beware!!!!!!…read more More of the same experience as many of the reviews on here. They are not wrong. The way they have treated me has been very unethical and anyone thinking about using them for a project should take note. Here are some importantly take aways: 1. They have had one objective on my project: charge more money than the contracted price. Not deliver a product, a design or value to me, the customer. 2 the manager was very disrespectful and rude to me when I requested a different project manager. He took a small problem and turned into a total dumpster fire. The sales people are great but it ends there. Project managers are just sales people by another name to write change orders. 3. When they gave me a price for a building, it was not code compliant with ANY building codes. They claim it is not their responsibility. They told me if I want a building that is code compliant, I will pay more. If I want it designed right, I will pay more. 4. There is a huge sense of urgency to close a deal and get your money. Once they had my money, everything changed and every interactions shifted to getting MORE money. After they breached the contract and failed to perform, they refused to provide me a refund. They threatened to cancel my contract but hold my money. 5. In their own words, they do not build to drawings or specs. They know nothing about CAD software. They build a building they want to build and your architect and GC have to design and build around it. They say that you should just order a building before even hiring an architect! I can't believe they are in business at all. This was shocking to me. 6. I caught them in a big mistake and, they said "good, you did your job". But I would have to pay for them to fix it. This is basic construction stuff. Nothing complex. Nothing region specific. Basic uniform building codes they knew nothing about. 7. When I challenged them, they told me that I don't know what I am doing, I have no experience and that I was "in over tie head". All exact words from their manager. I've posted a Google review, a yelp review, contacted the bbb. Wording on a law suit filing. Contact me in you are interested in a class action law suit. It looks like there are a lot of people in my situation. Update: just hours after posting this, I received an email from their legal department threatening to sue me if I don't remove my reviews. Ummmm... freedom of speech? I want my money back and I won't be silenced, bullied or threatened.
