They'll take months to get a portable for you and they are all refurbished or returns you pay price of brand new for.. plus their supplies are twice as bulky and weigh double what innogen g3 and g5 weigh. Plus innogen sends a loaner if the patient one breaks and doesn't leave the patient without until their contract renewal with insurance like procare leaves people without until their insurance renewal for new concentrator.... Procare not only milks their patients for all the money they can get they milk Medicare and Medicaid and other insurances and they don't care one bit about the customer.... Save yourself the hassle and go to innogen they are a lot better and nicer and don't milk their patients and leave them without a working oxygen concentrator. I was referred to Procare for CPAP supplies. They would say they mailed the supplies, but they either never came or came 6 weeks later. Absolutely ridiculous. They also would call very early in the morning, even after I asked them not to. This company is not worth the hassle. read more

My husband had a prescription for a CPAP, to help mitigate sleep apnea. The machine he received was not a well-known brand; the nurse practitioner at Medical Park Clinic had never worked with that model. The main problem was the replacement items. He was supposed to have subscription for filters and a part of the mask that becomes misshapen and needs replacing about every month. He called many times for the supplies. Each time the person he talked to either said the supplies would be sent within a day or two, or that someone would call him back. It never happened. It finally got to the point that the mask would no longer fit because the replacement part had not arrived. He brought it back. He will need to purchase one on his own instead of going through Medicare. read more

I empathize with the low rated reviews for this business. ProCare bought out the local company we used to go through for incontinence supplies. Luckily, a lot of their employees also went to work for ProCare during the buyout. This review is based solely on Procare's Anchorage Intake and Warehouse Dept's. Currently, ProCare is the largest home medical supply provider, as they now service the entire State of Alaska. Between expansion and Covid, a lot has changed with this business. One pro, is not having to go inside the building at all. A con, is they no longer do their highly convenient home deliveries. They've also chosen to outsource their calls, similar to what GCI does. It's likely when you call, you'll be talking to someone in Asia. Templates are made from doctor prescriptions and if an item you're needing doesn't show-up on the template they're viewing, there's not much the outsourced call center can do to help. Super frustrating. I recommend calling the main line and selecting option 3, which allows you to place an order or schedule a mail-out. This line, from my experience, is always answered by a live person in the Intake Dept. This is also the point in the call where you'll be transferred to the call center, if you don't act quickly. This is the only place that can help you, so I'd quickly request not to be transferred and explain your reasoning. The bulk of workers in this section are very competent and kind. They can assist, correct and amend templates. All the delivery/warehouse guys I've encountered have been efficient. I hope ProCare becomes a less stressful place to work with. The staff at Procare are incompetent and doesn't care that if they give you the wrong medical equipment. I spoke with 3 different people and all three assured me that they would make sure I received the correct equipment. However when I received my supplies they had sent the wrong equipment. When I called to tell them that they sent the wrong equipment they treated me like it was my fault and that I was wrong even though they had entered the it wrong into their system incorrectly or they are just very incompetent! My doctor sent my prescription for my crutches and scooter 3 weeks before my surgery. I heard from them the next day. They told me they were on it. Two weeks later, one week before my surgery, I called to check on the status. They stated they were waiting on chart notes from my doctor and could I call my doctor and have things moved along? I did. My doctors office said they never sent them a request for chart notes but said they would send them. The very next day I called Pro Care again. They stated they had my chart notes but could I give them my insurance information. I did. I called again the next day, 6 days before my surgery. They said they had all my information and they would call me. I never heard from them again. I am now 6 days post op and if I hadn't gotten my own crutches and scooter through Amazon I would be SOL. This company is incompetent and has zero communication. I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

This is THE MOST screwed up company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with!!! First - numerous calls to place an order for medical supplies. It took forever to get the order going. Was advised they confirmed the supplies were covered at 100% under our health insurance. When they arrived, we were presented with an invoice for over $1000. Called them to discussed and advised them to come pick up their products as we did not authorize the expense. After much discussion, they decided it would be in their best interest to have us keep the products and not charge us. But only after making us feel like they were doing us a huge favor. Not!!! They have been told to stop with the constant phone calls soliciting us to purchase new products. The calls are close to harassment. They stopped for a while, and are now starting back up. Again - demanded the calls to cease & desist. This company is disorganized, not trust worthy, and I would be concerned about having them providing healthcare services for an elderly or mentally challenged friend or relative. Very poor equipment. Steering failed within first 3 days of 3 month rental. Bottom bracket fell apart, leaving steering column wiggly and unstable, and they would not swap out equipment. Required a mobility impaired person, without transportation for 3 days, to find a way to come to them instead but not use equipment if too dangerous to do so. And once there, would make you (and your cab or etc) wait until techs evaluated to see if it could be fixed, and then to fix it, even with a swap out unit available! Next, 3 weeks in to the 3 month rental, the cable for the only brakes on the unit broke. Steering failure caused over the handlebars accident that twisted both knees, scraped shins, etc. in week 6 out of open-heart surgery. crappy service and no regard for their clients read more

My son has multiple complex medical issues leaving him to not walk, talk or crawl, and needing a feeding tube for all his nutrition. My husband works out of town, and I work full time from home and I am my sons full time care giver. More recently his condition has worsened and he's been in and out of the hospital and not going to school at all. My son is 8 now, and I've been using pro care since he was a new born, and have never had a problem with bad customer service until recently. My son ran out of formula on a Friday, and I thought pro care was open on Saturday, because they used to be, but apparently are not anymore. There has been a couple of times when I forgot to order something in advance, and ran out after hours, and the on call person would deliver what I forgot. It was never a big deal with the on the on call person. When I inquired about that to Brenda, who was the on call person, she said she will not do that and that me forgetting to order the formula in a timely manner is not an emergency, and that I need to be a more responsible mother. Of course I started crying when she said that, and she hung up on me. Only to call me back an hour later and tell me to pick up the formula at the hospital emergency room. If this this isn't an emergency, why do I need to go to the hospital emergency room? Brenda has the worst customer service I have ever experienced anywhere! I have had a bucket list item to get to Alaska and travel the Alaska Highway. My father helped build it during WW II. I have a rare disease and am on 8 liters of oxygen and had no way of providing myself with the oxygen I needed to make the trip. Enter Brad, Thomas and the ProCare Group. They took care of all my oxygen needs, and I was able to drop off 26 empty oxygen tanks in Fairbanks and pick up 26 full ones. When I got to Anchorage a couple of weeks later I was able to replace those empties with 26 new full ones. ProCare made this dream trip possible when no one else had an answer. read more

Absolutely horrific company! My mother is on constant oxygen, she has been supplied with an oxygen condenser for home and a portable unit. The portable unit has smelled of something decaying since the day she received it, we cleaned all filters and anything we could get to and still no change. Asked for it to be replaced with a different unit, and we were denied without a doctors request. Billing is a whole different nightmare. They are threatening repossession of the equipment, claiming an unpaid bill of over $6,000. My mom is disabled and on social security. So she has Medicaid and everything is to be covered, minus the normal co-pays. They claimed she needed paperwork from the doctor which she provided in the very beginning. So we went ahead and had her doctor re-submit the requested paper work. Upon receiving the paper work and confirming it was what they needed, they informed my mother that they will no longer help her and that it is not their problem. Now they demand the payment and threatened to come repossess the equipment tonight, not allowing her a chance to find the life-supporting equipment, she relies on, from a different supplier. The fact that they are harassing her, denying her assistance after she did everything she needed to, and now threading to take her equipment and leaving her helpless, is a crying shame. This business shouldn't be open! I wish there was more I could do to help her. I hope someone from this company sees this, because you need to reevaluate how you treat your clients! read more

I had a choice of a few providers for a cpap machine recently. I asked my doctors office which one they would recommend and they said to try Procare. Before engaging them I decided to read some historical reviews from other clients. I was somewhat surprised and disturbed that I could find few if any positive reviews. Nevertheless I went forward with my appointment despite all the negative feedback that I reviewed. I'm pleased to say that the bad reviews I saw were contrary to and the opposite of the care I am receiving from ProCare. I tried to pickup my boyfriend's scooter and crutches after a foot surgery today, after he had dropped off his prescription on Friday. They said it would be ready the next day. I went today and they told me that it wasn't ready yet, and that they were waiting on a pending note from the doctor. He called after and asked about his prescription, and they said they scanned his prescription but it turned it in blank sheets. When asked when this was noticed, she replied "well probably today." After asking who to blame for this she said, "well blame me for all I care." After asking for his supervisor, and put on hold for three minutes, he wasn't allowed to talk to her, according to her. The girl I originally talked to was very nice, but whoever he had to deal with was a nightmare. He ended up getting his crutches and scooter from Geneva Woods. read more

My husband was referred to pro care by his sleep clinic to get a bipap. He was told to keep contacting pro care to ensure he was not forgotten or overlooked on the wait list. He has done so. They are tired of hearing from him so when he called in February they told him he would have his machine to him mid March. That timeline has come and gone. When he called in the last week he was told he was given a false date to placate him and to stop his inquiries. This whole process with pro care has been incredibly frustrating. I understand they cannot control the supply chain but it upsets me that they are getting annoyed with customers doing what they were told by their providers. Not to mention my husband hasn't slept soundly in almost a year. I've never felt so helpless to assist him as when he is suffocating in his sleep. I understand it is difficult to deal with his weekly calls but he is dying every night and I wish he was getting some empathy and honesty from the company he is relying on to save his life. read more

They have a poor communication between their clients and doctors, unorganized and a greedy. Specialists do not call back and not well informed their client's prescription and sleep study diagnoses. I had to go to the office to drop off my prescriptions and sleep study diagnoses. Try out or fitting appointments takes weeks. Then specialists had to order my supplies. They didn't have it in stock. So I had to wait. They didn't listen to what I wanted about trying other masks. To fax your prescriptions to them is lame. They never received it. To fax my reports to my doctors were too never happened. I had to go there in person to drop off papers. I found out months later from other medical supplies that the full mask is expensive. No wonder Pro Care wants me to stick with the full mask because they want to charged Medicaid hundreds of dollars that it was not necessarily fit for my needs. I dont want a full mask!!! They charged a lot of money to Medicaid in renting the cpap machine around $350 to $ 750. When I returned my cpap machine this rude blonde specialist wrote on my receipt that I was non compliance. What a bitch! She tried to talk to me over not to return the cpap machine. Now, I ordered my supplies through ebay where they have the cheapest supplies ever from the lower 48 medical supplies stores. I bought my cpap machine for $200 from Craigslist. read more

i needed portable oxyenator so seward hospital put me in contact with procure. so the first machin had not been cleaned and smelled so bad of cigarettes that we could not use it. so they switched units the second one keep alarming and different times thru the nite so we stop using that machine also. i took everything back to procure within 5 days or so and they still charged me full price. very disappointed. would never do business with them again. no wonder there rated so low. read more

I have had other CPAP providers in the past and Procare has been significantly more attentive. My machine recently broke and I got immediate assistance getting it replaced. I live outside of Anchorage, and I am always scheduled an appointment and receive prompt service shortly after I arrive at the facility. The staff has always been helpful calling whenever provided authorization from my insurance provider. During my initial machine setup I was contacted multiple times to ensure that I understood how the machine worked and to ensure that the machine was working correctly. I have always found all the Procare staff professional in my interactions. My previous provider never called and if I needed assistance I usually had to sort through several phone numbers that no longer worked in order to find someone that answered the phone. read more

Hello, I have been contacting Procare starting July 2018. I have yet to have my billing issue resolved. I have call my insurance company TRICARE and Medicare as well. My MD has assured me all the paper work has been submitted back in July 2018. We resent all paper work again. Procare stated dis regard the mailings and sent 2 voice messages that stated the same thing. I have 4 letters stating I owe them money all with different amounts. The last 2 letter were a week apart. One stated 0.00 balance the other stated I owe then 64.00 plus a late fees. I have not had any services from them. The last time I was in as a walk to clear this up was in July 20018. I am now getting bills with late fees due to the fact they have not sent the information to the insurance companies in a timely manner it is now 2019. I have called many times to speak with Debbie the billing supervisor. I am unsure if my messages left at the desk were past on. I finally got the voice message mail box for Debbie and I am still waiting for a call back. I am ready to call cooperate and the BBB in Anchorage. My newborn twins were placed on Procare apnea monitors after leaving the NICU at Providence. It has been a nightmare dealing with these machines over the past two weeks since we have been home. Several false alarms occur every single day, usually in the middle of the night, causing my babies to wake up making it impossible to get them back to sleep. It's to the point where I'm terrified to change their diapers in the night. We swapped out the monitors today for new ones but the problems persist. Worse than the constant disruption of the false alarms, sometimes it's unclear to tell whether there is an actual medical emergency with either of my twins, causing a level of stress and anxiety that I have never before experienced. To say that this has been a challenge would be a vast understatement, and at this point I would rather that they were still in the NICU. At least there we would have some kind of concrete evidence as to whether my babies stopped breathing or not. I am not the kind of person that trashes local businesses or writes these kind of public reviews, but I am livid at the fact that it's 2am and my infants were sleeping soundly until yet another false alarm woke up everyone in the house, making a peaceful night impossible. At least, I hope it was a false alarm--if not, and a real emergency happened, calling Procare would result in being put on hold for several minutes then transferred to an answering service. read more

In recent years we have had many, many appointments and procedures, etc.with medical facilities, Doctors and support staff but Procare of Wasilla ranks as the most inefficient and unaccommidating of all the facilities we have worked with. Staff is unfriendly, unprofessional and unknowing. Nothing takes place in a timely manner and they are quick to blame someone else for their notable display of inefficiency. It took a month for us to get the equipment of the Doctors prescription and that was with several office calls and numerous phone calls. Only one of the staff members ever returned a phone call. Unorganized and extremely poor communication is an understatement. On the five star scale - we put (1) and that's being generous, they would need to borrow (3) just to get on the board. I put one star. But they don't even get that. Nightmare. Working with this company is an absolute ongoing nightmare. So far we have been hassled by them for almost two years. We used baby formula for a year and a half because our daughter has allergies and wasn't able to nurse. A year after services we got our first bill from procare for the amount of 26,000$. We continued to get very high statements for two years. Amounts ranging up to 36,000$. This is after our insurance company went round and round with procare to obtain requested information which was not provided until much much later. Finally, three months ago we thought we closed our case just for them to start this billing issue all over again. Do not use this company. It is starting to feel like a scam or fraud and our next step is likely an attorney if things are continued by procare further.
