I weighed 210 at the beginning of my weight loss journey. When I started with Ana Boecking, I had tried dozens of weight-loss regimens that were a waste of money and had left me hungry and angry. However, Because of Dr. B's help, I was able to take off lbs rapidly while learning how to eat healthier. I moved and haven't continued with her in office visitation. However, I have continued following her guidance. I made it to my goal weight over 1.5 years ago, and I have kept the weight off. I am now 110-115 without starving myself and making myself sick. I recently starting coming here because my friend had referred me. I believe he came to them after a car accident he had. I brought him in for his first appointment and I literally had to carry him in the door because his back hurt so much. Within a few weeks we was able to walk normally and by the end, he was exercising as normal. So, when I had a crick in my neck, he told to go in a see Dr Jones. And let's just say that Dr Jones is THE BEST chiropractor I have been too. I've been seeing a chiropractor after a high school track injury several years ago. He really is very good. I met with him and we discussed what my goals were and what specifically I was looking for. He did an exam and took x-rays. The next day I came in after the x-rays were developed and we went over what he though my treatment should be. I met with their insurance person and she quoted me on what the treatment plan that Dr Jones suggested would cost. They were very organized and clear about what their expectations were and took the time to answer my questions about the treatment and insurance. I started treatment, which included a little bit of therapy. I was coming in 3x/week at the beginning. Their schedule was pretty flexible and worked well with my work schedule. Therapy is not really the most exciting thing to do, but Dr Jones and Jackie (the helper) really made it a lot of fun. It got to where I was really looking forward to coming in, I had fun when I was there, AND I was getting better day by day. Now that I've finished, I see Dr Jones almost every week. The staff is super nice. The front desk lady -- I forget her name -- is awesome. When I was doing my treatment, the insurance lady was in an accident and was doing therapy with me! As stupid as this sounds, I thought that was really cool. It's like when you're in kindergarten and the teachers eat lunch with you. Sounds stupid, but you all know what I mean. Overall, they are awesome and I'll definitely keep going here. It was a great find! Side note: they have THE BEST coffee maker. It's just a Keurig, but its like heaven in a cup! I have been coming to Pro-care for years. They are the best place in the city for b-12 shots hands down. The have a plot or and friendly staff that is clean and professional. As soon as you enter, you will be greeted by the smiling faces of Lauren, Sidney, and Leslie. You can walk in and get service almost immediately without an appointment. I've been seeing the good folks at Procare three times a week over the past month for physical therapy and they're all wonderful. I was in a car accident 7/7/2017 and sought them out as thy accepted an LOP (letter of protection) from my attorney while I wait on my settlement. Thomas is usually the first and last face I see at the front desk. Things can get pretty busy in there sometimes, but he keeps the place flowing smoothly, responds to my emails quickly, and is always attentive, sincere, and amazingly kind. David provides phenomenal physical therapy tailor suited to each patient, notices subtleties/me favoring a side before I even do sometimes, and is amazing at matching up with his patient's energy level - he can be quick on the quip or offer a gentle and quiet hand to others. He brings an exuberant yet calm energy to the room - making what could be a stressful experience for many, relaxing and fulfilling. Dr Rushing, the chiropractor, has essentially been the point man through the entire process. He does my assessment tests, orders MRIs, is working with me to get a neuropsych eval for some cognitive issues from a concussion, and most importantly provides the adjustments --- which he frequently walks me through since I'm a chicken and always wind up getting nervous and laughing like a weirdo. Dr Rasor, the primary, I saw once at the beginning. He ordered me a brain MRI through Longhorn Imaging and provided me with some prescriptions to help with the muscle pain and migraines I've been having. They are all attentive, genuinely kind, and on top of their game in every way. Even involving insurance co. and her lawyer they've been trying to get the Pro Care surgery coordinator (Courtney) on the phone for MONTHS with no luck. No returned email. No explanation. No apology. The bad news. Rear ended. Teenager texting. (there should be a law) Good news. After seeing the ortho, he sent me to Pro-Care. It's not fancy, or pretentious, thank God. The Chiropractor, Dr. Jones, has a laid back Austin-ish vibe to him. I liked him right away. Jackie... I think she's a Physical Therapist, but in any case she is the mother hen to all of us groaning and complaining in the P.T. room, is also very cool. Gotta admit, the first week was hellish. Second week, better. My neck still hurts, but the pain is somewhat less and my flexibility is much better. I may never get used to "being adjusted", but it does seem to help, along with the exercises and decompression. I do look forward to that part now. If you have to go somewhere to get "straightened out", you could do worse than Pro-Care. 5 stars for being unpretentious, caring and competent. read more

Just had the best experience at Pro Care. I was having severe pain with my hand I thought I just recently broke. I originally spoke to Dave, who worked promptly and efficiently to squeeze me into their packed day. Elaina helped me with paperwork, my insurance wasnt accepted but she worked with me so I still could get assistance. Dr. Wells and Dave were very professional and kind when dealing with my pain. Dave took extra steps to secure my comfort. Dr. Wells is very informative and explained everything, so I fully understand what was being conducted and also explained what the results of their assessment was. I cannot be happier with my experience at Pro Care! The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable and treated me like family from the moment I walked in. I was treated by Dr. Rushing and Dave. I came in with a sprain in my foot that had been causing me pain & difficulty walking for three months. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the treatments. I was skeptical at first because they do a newer kind of treatment, but my foot feels 95% better after just four treatments - no expensive tests, surgeries, or casts. They are honest and truly care about what is best for their patients. I have already recommended them to friends & family and will continue to do so! I went to Pro-Care Spine a few years ago and was pleased with the treatment. They treated my injury and I improved greatly. Unfortunately, their business practices are fairly shady. After the initial consultation, they gave me a bound document outlining the costs for a series of visits, based on their analysis of my insurance (which is UT's Blue Cross, which they'd worked with before). I was to pay a bit each visit, which I did, following the payment and visit schedule exactly. A year later, they sent me a bill for another $119--evidently they put in a new billing system, and decided to retroactively generate charges. (I ran into one of the doctors who used to work there, and he told me he'd heard from other former patients about this scam they were running.) I wrote to them twice explaining that I'd followed their payment schedule exactly and asking for an explanation. I never got an explanation, just lots of collections calls. Austin has many great places that provide PT and chiropractic services. No need to go to one that is going to bill you randomly a year after service with trumped-up charges. read more

In response to Brent's response: I sent an email on May 9, which was a Saturday. I stated I was unable to get into the patient portal that they sent me and Brent was the one that answered (on Sunday) saying it wasn't ready yet. I sent an email back asking when it would be ready and he responded (on Monday) that he didn't know and what I needed. I said I was looking for my lab results and he sent them to me. They were already there and they were not "expedited" in any way. I certainly did not infer they were doing something shady. I stated it was my mistake that I scheduled a physical not a script refill. The follow up is another charge for my insurance. Just the facts. Nothing irrational there. I told Brent in my email that he was the one being unprofessional and that I actually complimented the professionalism of the physician and staff (see the first line of my review). It seems he would rather just personally attack me then act like a rational adult. It appears that if you don't have a 5 star review for his company you should not be allowed to give your opinion. Remember also that my review started as a three star....it was his unprofessional and childish email that made me drop it to a one. My review stands. **UPDATE** After the snippy email I just received from the CEO I will now take this down to one star. Although the office staff and Physician were nice and professional, there have just been too many issues for me to return. The medical assistant was out, so I had to go somewhere else to have my blood drawn. I have new insurance so scheduled a physical instead of an illness appointment. My mistake. My prescriptions would not be written on a physical visit. When partial ones were finally agreed upon, only 2 out of three were sent to the pharmacy and I had to make 2 phone calls to get it to go through. One of my prescriptions required pre-authorization from my insurance company. So far the pharmacy has not received a response from the Physicians office. I was sent an email with a patient portal, but could not access it. When I sent an email as to why, I was told it wasn't ready yet. No other explanation or options. When I received my lab results by email I was sent all but my pap smear and was told Erika would be calling me ASAP. That sounds scary, right? Well, still no phone call so who knows. Do I have cancer or not? Luckily I know that the chances are slim so I'm not freaking out, but imagine if I was a bit more emotional. Don't you think that response would send me in to a panic? Since I did only schedule a physical I am supposed to return for a follow up before I can get my prescriptions, even though my labs (except the pap) are normal. Seems like just another charge for my insurance company. This whole visit has just been one hassle after another and I'm not a patient enough person to jump through the hoops. Ive been going to pro care for about 7 months and they are great. The people there make you feel comfortable and they do a great job on identifying and treating your pain. I was in a really bad accident where a driver ran red light and seriously injured my daughter and me. Pro care has been there for us every step of the way in helping us regain normal movement. We are still in the process of trying to get us back the way we were before the accident but I understand that will take time. Glad I'm in good hands. read more

Dr. Certay is AMAZING. The way the staff here refuse to help you though is very disheartening. I am still very upset with the little respect that they show you and the last person's attitude when I spoke to her just asking for a referral. If I just get to a surgeon, I am happy enough. The last one they referred me to, refused to see me even after telling me he would be in touch to set everything up. I've waited for over a month already and still haven't been referred again, but I guess that just speaks volumes on how willing they are to help you once you are no longer their patient according to books. Whatever is more important though: being civil and caring about patients, past or present, or throwing your hands in the air and not caring. If you get Doctor Certay (not 100% sure how it is spelled) you will NOT be disappointed, he is one of the kindest doctors I've ever had and wish he were a primary doctor instead because he would be the only Doctor I would ever use. read more

Be wary of the billing department. Each time I went I'd ask to pay and the staff would say "you luck out there is no co-pay" and a couple months later BAM they hit with the bill. I knew it was coming thanks to other reviews, and will now discontinue with them. The staff is friendly but every time I needed a prescription filled it would take over a week, or I would not hear back, or there was always an excuse. You get a feeling something is up. I was referred to them by my kidney doctor for weight loss. STAY AWAY from this place if you need true medical/licensed nutritionist supervision. My wife and I went here and met with a lady who had no more nutrition training than reading a sales manual for "Ideal Protein". I have a problem assimilating nutrients from vegetables and was constantly having leg cramp from insufficient potassium level. Every time I brought it to the attention of the individual she just said I needed to eat more vegetables. I ultimately had to resort to pedialyte to keep from having a heart/passing out problem at work. We have left this place and have found another licenses nutritionist with a masters who understands my problems. I have left out a lot more problems that we encountered here. read more

Welcome to Medicare! This provider does not seem to fully accept the Medicare fee reimbursement schedule. I am paying for Medicare and I am having diificulty finding a Dr that fully accepts the Medicare fee schedule. I called whomever answered the phone and she said that they accept Medicare reimbursements as full payments. Meanwhile they would not see me unless I signed a form for non-coverage or partial-coverage of their fee for an office visit. In short I would have to pay a surcharge above what Medicare pays for the comparable service/s on the Medicare Schedule !!! Now if you do not accept Medicare reimbursement schedule THEN simply refuse Medicare or say that there is a surcharge !!! I would not have wasted my time coming down there. NOTE: I get feeling that they accept some fees and surcharge others. There is no way for me to tell unless I actually used them as my provider. I will find another provider. I may have to pay a surcharge but at least they won't get it !!! I advise prospective patients to read the forms that they are signing. I cannot understand why I have to be a lawyer in Texas to see a dr !!! read more

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a health Care professional, waiting over 3 hours to be seen after the front desk failed to book the proper appt that his nurse had supposedly given to me . Dr. Rasor was not only extremely unprofessional upon entry of the room also lacking any kind of compassion for his patients. He was very rude and immediately began attacking my reasoning for being on a particular medication in which another provider that was previously with his practice had prescribed this very medication to me each month so it wasnt as if there was no history...5 years of history. He accused me of wrong doing because of previously being prescribed this to help with energy levels from my doctor before moving back to Austin and then refilled by his practice. This caught me way of guard and sent me into a panic attack. If you value yourself and time do not waste a second or give this poor excuse of a human being a penny of your money. read more

Super shady billing practices. I have never been able to get the one person in the office (apparently) who can deal with billing issues on the phone. Her name is Courtney. She also never calls me back ever - not once out of the like 5 or 6 times has she ever returned my call. They are trying to bill me for a flu shot that my insurance would cover if they would bill it correctly. Courtney told me the problem was fixed back in January the one time she happened to be in the office when I called - and just today I received another bill for the same thing. I called at 10am and was told she'd call me back right after the call she was on finished - now 12pm, haven't heard from her. Called back the office, she transferred me to Courtney's extension, answering machine. I left her a message but I sure don't have high hopes of having my call returned. You would think if they wanted my money they would be calling me..... HMMMM.... STAY FAR FAR AWAY. You WILL get screwed. I mean all of this started because THEY BILLED MY FLU SHOT INCORRECTLY, this is THEIR ERROR. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO HERE! ****UPDATE**** Just wanted to update this with the rest of my experience.... Turns out that Courtney had NEVER been receiving any of my messages! Once I did get in touch with her, she was more than helpful and explained everything and why certain things had happened, and it turns out multiple people are dropping the ball when passing on messages. She can't call me back if she never gets my message. She also let me know that she is not the only person that deals with billing issues like this and apologized that I was told that. I am very very pleased with her reaching out to me, she definitely didn't have to. After speaking with her, it sounds like the main issue in this practice is communication - which is extremely important! Now I know the issue was that the people who answer the phones don't pass on messages - Courtney was fabulous. I still would not recommend going here because if you do have an issue with your bill, it will be hell trying to get a message through the people who answer the phones to the people who can help you. read more

I don't know what I would have done without the wonderful staff at Pro-Care Spine Center. I was in a motorcycle accident, taken to a local hospital--which shall remain anonymous, and told that I didn't have any broken bones and was discharged. However, after not being able to walk due to my foot injury and a lot of back pain, I was sent to Pro-Care for treatment. Thanks to Pro-Care, I was properly diagnosed with a broken cuboid bone in my foot and some herniated discs in my back and neck. I am convinced I would still be limping and in severe pain were it not for the care I received at Pro-Care. How many people can actually say that they look forward to physical therapy? I can thanks to the amazing staff there. If you are unfortunate enough to need treatment, I strongly recommend this place. The doctors and staff are very good about listening to their patients and treating them accordingly, and they are super accommodating and caring. Dr. Jones works wonders with his chiropractic services. Jackie and Michelle are fabulous and super sweet even though some of the exercises you may be asked to perform by them are not so pleasant. Dr. Cerday is equally amazing and has an amazing bedside manner--he doesn't just "hear" you, he listens; and even the staff at the front desk are adorable. Nitra and Eric always make you feel upbeat on your worst of days. I know by the time I was done with my therapy, I felt like I was saying goodbye to family. read more

So I went to this place for Chiropractic work due to some lower back pain. The front office people were nice but then the doctor told me I needed to do a treatment plan of both chiropractic and physical therapy. So he says that they use a technique called McKenzie Therapy and I said ok because I wanted to feel better. Well let me just say that this guy, Dr. Boecking talks better than he practices. He didnt pay attention to what I was doing as far as treatment and just passed me off to some not so knowledgable techs, and to make things worse is this "doctor" is not certified in the type of therapy he says he is using. Needless to say I spent money and went no where. My back pain is still there. This is a SHADY practice. BEWARE. My insurance statements also show that this place over billed my therapy and their "FREE CONSULTATION" was billed as well. I suggest anyone whose ever gone there to check their statement and ask for the Certifications that say these doctors are McKenzie Physical Therapy Ceertified. read more

My experience here was okay! There was some good aspects and things that......lets just say could be worked on. The front desk receptionist Jessica was great! She was very professional and friendly! Dr. Patel was nice, he was to the point. He explained what I had going on in detail, to where I could understand. We went over my options and got started on everything right away. Now for the downside. I won't bash the staff. Several of my appointments were missed scheduled, mind you I was driving from Killeen. The medical assistant Alana, can be very unprofessional and smart at the mouth if she has not ate. Well at least that's how she explained to me on the day she was rude and unprofessional with me. Mind you she did apologize later that day and we hug but, you can't treat your customers like crap because you haven't ate. Berry whom is the office manager. When I ran into my issue with Alana I gave him a call. He heard me out and advised he would take care of it. However, he never followed back up with me. I had to call him. Overall not a bad place however customer service training is needed big time. Although the doctors are awesome, if the people you run across before even being seen for your appointment are rude and unprofessional make you not even want to continue with your appointment. read more
