My family and I have been coming to this lake campground for years, and we always enjoy our…read morevisits.The campsites are spacious and relaxing, making it a wonderful place to disconnect from daily life and spend quality time with family. We also love seeing the many animals and wildlife around the campground, which adds to the experience. Having showers available and water access at the campsite is very convenient and appreciated. While we continue to enjoy staying here, there are a few areas that could be improved. It would be helpful if staff were more responsive when guests call for assistance during their stay. The restroom doors could use repairs, and the restrooms would benefit from more frequent cleaning and maintenance. Better guidance for visitors when locating their campsites would also make the check-in process smoother, especially for first-time guests. Overall, this is a beautiful and enjoyable campground with great potential. With a few improvements in customer service and facility maintenance, it could provide an even better experience for all visitors.

IT FEELS LIKE A HOMELESS CAMP!! There's tents close together. No privacy whatsoever. Security drives around the camp frequently. The bathrooms are disgusting and out of order. Showers eat your quarters. Only one shower works.

There appeared to be drug activity, and there were people living in their cars. It felt more like a place for people to hang out and purchase drugs than a normal parking lot. I observed this as I drove through, which was very concerning. This was a bummer, especially since the trail itself looked beautiful. I'm surprised that law enforcement hasn't been called by the neighborhood, but then again, I understand that people can sometimes become used to these conditions.

Everytime we stop in there we are greeted with a friendly smile and exceptional service. Their burgers & fries are the best anywhere around. There is also a cute food truck near the visitor center that had the best garlic fries I have ever had. North Grove was really great for families with smaller kids. The hike wasn't too strenuous. Perfect day to be outdoor. -Park is very well kept and accessible for all. The North Cove Trail was a walk in the pak with stunning display of different trees. Look carefully, wild mushroom has been inoculated and is ready for their debuted. -Visitor center and ranger were very informative. -Pro tip: if your family is the outdoorsy type, buy a California State Park Pass - include entrance to this place and you can skip the line when visiting on a busy weekend....
