I came here for a full acrylic set. I picked what I thought was a basic set because this isn't my normal nail salon. I came here for convenience of the location. I've been getting nails done since I was 16... I'm 36. So 20 years of nail sets. This is the worst set I've had my whole life!!! The basic set I requested was long square off white. I showed the man that checked me in my inspio pic... ladies let me tell you... it took this "nail tech" 2 and half hours to do!!! And the whole time she complained that the length I wanted was too long... mind you I asked her to cut them shorter than what I really wanted and what I normally get. Was recommended by a friend to go here. I had my pedicure done by Mariann (I think that's how you spelled her name). She did a great job since my ingrown nails are not hurting me! The owner Tony came in to do my Gel X nails. He did a great job as he took his time and the design I wanted was perfect! Downsize as to why I am giving this Nail salon a 4 is because after week, my Gel X nails started lifting to the point where it was so easy for me to take them off. I've been coming here for years, used to be for both nails and eyebrow waxing but since I've found a different place for nails, I only come here for eyebrows with Tiffany or an occasional pedicure. I love Tiffany for eyebrows; she does both mine and my teenager daughter's brows and always does a great job. My biggest issue is that they never honor appointment times. 9 out of 10 times, I'll book an appointment and end up waiting between 20-35 minutes after my appointment time. I get it, they are trying to get in as many services as possible, but they do ask for your phone number so I don't know why they can't call about 15 minutes before your appointment to tell you it's running late. I told them I had an appointment at 5:30 they had me sit in a chair and it's been an hour and they have been taking other appointments with ones at 6, 6:15, 6:30. They need to create a first come, first serve plan. If you do make an appointment be very stern about it. I'm about to be taken and they close in ten minutes. Now I'm worried that they are going to half-ass my nails and they won't come out well. They kept picking other people except me when I already had an appointment before the others. There is usually a long wait even with an appointment, acrylics are way too thick even when asked to thin them down, many times I left with injury to my cuticle area from the Dremel, and pricey for most often mediocre work. I no longer get my nails done here. My mom still goes and sees Michelle for her mani/pedi's but I found a new nail salon that does EXCELLENT work EVERY time. If I'm gonna pay good money, I expect quality work without injury. I still see Tiffany for my eyebrow waxing here though. She does a good job and doesn't rush me out of the salon. First time I came here the lady who did my nails did them way too thick. I wanted coffin and I got plain squares that looked cheap. Second time I came just to remove my acrylics. Third time was the worst experience ever! The guy with the earring helped me and kept trying to rush the entire time. He used a dirty towel on me I couldn't believe it. When he started doing my nails they looked way too thick so I asked him if he can thin them up. His response was "I'm not done! I don't normally get my nails done but I saw a friend of mine posting pictures of her cute nails and decided to treat myself!! Her nail lady is Anna and so I decided to get an appointment with her and she is the cutest and sweetest person ever! Anna was so nice and went above and beyond! I originally picked a color for my nails but I guess it was different than the picture of the nail design I wanted so she recommended I try a different color. Once she put the chrome on my acrylics, I fell in love! I'm a gel type of gal because the last few times I got acrylics they made them too long for me and I could never function with them. But Anna cut it into the perfect shape and size for me. When I came back from my trip, I came back in the get my acrylics removed and Anna wasn't in yet so I had a different lady remove them for me. She wasn't as gentle and friendly as Anna :( She was pretty aggressive and basically ripping it off And as I mentioned before, I've gotten acrylics a few times and those times I've removed my acrylics the nail techs were gentle and it was not as painful. Everyone wears masks and gloves and of course you sign a release saying you don't have COVID or any currrwnt symptoms. They also take your temperature at the door. There are plastic shields separating you from the person helping you. It's different being outside, but I actually like it. It wasn't too hot, and everything is set up in the shade. I was also able to get my eyebrows waxed! Thank goodness. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. I would also recommend making an appointment because they get super busy, super fast. I came in to get my nails fixed which came out pretty decent. Though they did rush and were rude in insisting I came in with a different color than what I was picking and therefore needing to be charged for it but I was picking the exact same color I had on before. I do wish the lady took more time with my French as there are some that look off and listened to me when I asked for it to be fixed.
