My last exam and order was at a national chain, so I figured I'd support local businesses and splurge to get a pair I really liked. Got an exam and ordered a pair 02/21. Was told it would be a few days and they may arrive by the end of the week. Didn't hear back the next week, didn't hear back the following week. After calling, I was told my order would be ready 03/07. Picked up my glasses and as soon as I got them home and cleaned, I realized there was a pinpoint dot in the coating on one lens. Came back to drop them off to be repaired on 03/09. Was told they'd be repaired in a few days. Called 03/16 and was told they'd call me back. Called 03/17 after not hearing from them and was told that "maybe they'd be ready by the end of the week". I did everything right. I went to a local business, I spent almost $500, I called every step of the way to remind them. I got FAR better service at a chain and it was free. Last time I ordered glasses I spent nothing out of pocket and they arrived in a week and a half. It's been almost a month, I paid $500, and I still don't have my glasses. And no one who works here returns phonecalls. Don't patronize this shop. The service is worse than a chain and in the four times I've had to visit the store, no one has been in it. This is the worst practice I've been to and I've had glasses or contacts for 25 years and many optometrists. The first thing the optometrist says to me, even before asking my name, looking at my file, or doing an exam is if I want to try daily contacts. This is not based on anything medical. He says they're much better and they only cost 30% more than monthly which I currently use. Well he can't do simple math because I found out later that they are actually 300% more- even with rebates and insurance. The lenses on the equipment are dirty and cloudy which makes the eye exam harder to do. They ask me if I want to try daily's. I said sure why not I'll try them. And they will not give me a prescription until I try them. Well it's nice but not enough for me to pay over $800 a year for contacts. I request a written prescription so I can buy my regular contacts online where it is half the price. They send over a prescription for a specific brand of daily contacts. I say no I want monthly. They say they can't give me a prescription for monthlies unless I try them. What?! They never told me this when giving me the sample. I didn't know I was committing to getting daily contacts when they handed me 5 days worth of lenses. They insist and say other optometrists don't care as much about their customers which is BULLSHIT. So I have to go in AGAIN and get the sample. After a few weeks, I request a prescription for monthlies. They send me the daily prescription again!! So I ask them again- please send me a monthly prescription. They do send one but it is again BRAND SPECIFIC to B&L. I didn't realize that until I tried to order myself new contacts online and it was denied. Because I tried to buy a different brand of monthly contacts that I prefer and know very well after using contacts for over 20 years. So how many calls and visits does it take to get the single prescription I need? With all of my previous optometrists- it was one simple email after my eye exam. None of them have tried to sell me super expensive, brand specific daily contacts. BEWARE OF THIS UNETHICAL AND INCOMPETENT PRACTICE. read more

I love the glasses I got here, and both the front desk staff and the optometrist made me feel at ease when I had to go in during the pandemic. They are always helpful when you're struggling to pick out frames. And they have never once bugged me about my not wanting contacts (I was warned off them after experiencing chronic eye irritation in the past). They also send you cheerful reminders when it's time to schedule an appointment and they text you on your birthday. It's little details like that that make for a great experience. read more

My optometrist that I've been going to for many years left my insurance Network. I tried another one but was unhappy with the results, the glasses they made for me had to be redone twice and even then I had to swap back to my old glasses for everything except using my computer. I tried coming to professional eye Care based on reviews and I was very happy I did. Dr Costello provides great personal care and help me go through a few adjustments to my frames until things were right. Now I only need one pair of glasses for reading, computer work, driving, etc. They carried the exact brand and style of frames I wanted as well. I had an exam here and do not recommend. Practice is rude and unscrupulous. They refused to release my prescription demanding I make copay over the phone with a credit card and bawked when I asked for an invoice first, which I had to request multiple times over 30 days - all the while they withheld my prescription. They clearly wanted me to buy lenses through them so they make more money and wouldn't release my rx so I could buy elsewhere. I advised that refusing me records is a violation of HIPAA and threatened to make a complaint to HHS. It wasn't until then that Dr Costello turned the rx over. What a waste of time and energy. My husband and I just got glasses and contacts at this office. We really couldn't be happier with our experience. The doctor is really friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. He recommended a brand of contacts that was more comfortable than any other contacts I've tried. And I was impressed that he and his staff were so good at helping me find glasses that fit my (somewhat small) face. Honestly, I couldn't believe it when he casually recommended three pairs of glasses...and I loved them all. I've never had that happen before. Overall, a really good experience with Professional Eye Care. I definitely recommend them. Oh, one more thing: the only negative aspect of this place is the location. The office is located in a very small shopping center that gets PACKED around lunch time. So you might try to schedule your appointment before or after the rush. read more

Dr. Costello is very patient and listened to my needs and trouble I had had with other contact lenses. He explained my options and fit me with he most incredible contacts I have ever worn. My vision is awesome. i haven't seen this well in years. He explained the best way to take care of them. I have never had anybody seem to care about my eyes the way he did. I brought my daughter in for a kindergarten exam a few weeks later. He made it so enjoyable for her. He is very patient but to the point. She loved the games he played within the exam for her. The staff made it very enjoyable and explained my bill and how the insurance worked. Going to Professional Eye Care takes all the anxiety out of going to the doctor's office! read more

We are new to the area and needed to find an eye care facility for our family. We went to a few in the area and settled on this upscale modern office. The service and attention to detail is awesome. The doctor listens to what are concerns and eye needs are and gives us his best options available. He takes his time and doesn't rush through the exam. Very informative doctor. They have great up to date equipment for analyzing eye diseases. I was having trouble with my contacts and he fit me with the newest bifocal contacts and am very pleased. The selection of glasses is as good as it gets. They used the best digital lenses for my progressive lenses. I have never seen that well out of my glasses. Dr. Costello listened to what my needs were and explained my options to me. Together we figured out what would work best. The doctor was very knowledgeable about contact lenses. I had been wearing one for distance and one for close (monovision). He explained how well the new multifocal contacts work and my binocularity would improve as well as driving at night. After my examination he gave me a pair and I thought they were fantastic. 5 days later he had me back for a checkup and he said we can improve my reading and gave me a different left lens and I can see clearly in the distance as well as not struggle with my phone or reading spreadsheets.
