Everyone was very friendly and although there was a bit of a wait, I would definitely recommend them to anyone. My eye sight has been horrible since I was a child and Dr Remington is the one who found out I had cataracts, which my normal eye doctor never found. For months I tried to get a human being to return phone messages, emails and texts to no avail. It took me 5 months to get my first appt after the referral from my dermatologist, only to have the procedure scheduled for 4 months after that. The concent forms, etc. were mailed to me and I had questions about how one of them was worded. I called, I left messages, I texted, I emailed. I even went to the office but they weren't there and the sign told people to email them to contact them....they don't show up in Sun Lakes often, apparently. I finally called my insurance company to find out if the doctor's office had requested the pre-authorization and was told they had never heard from OSP. I again started trying to get hold of the doctor and finally just cancelled the procedure by voice mail. The form they had wanted me to sign said my insurance had determined the procedure was not medically necessary and I would "have to make a decision" to have it or not. NOT MAY DETERMINE, BUT HAD DETERMINED. Five days before the procedure was supposed to happen they called me to give me pre-op instructions! No one had ever listened to any voice mail, read a text or an email. They hadn't received the concent forms and no one had reached out or anything. I basically told them I wasn't interested in putting myself under the scalpel of any doctor who had such a distainful manner with her patients. They claimed they never heard from me. Every phone number they list for their three offices go to the same voicemail system. Apparently those messages are never listened to. No thanks. I get the doctor might be too busy, but isn't that the staff's job? So, as I said, she might be great but I don't trust people who don't know how to communicate with each other or their clients.

The team is really thorough and they make sure you're covered by your insurance before proceeding with your appointment-- which I know can be really challenging to get prepared. They provide estimates to costs before your actual treatment and they've found issues that previous dentists didn't see in us before. Also, I like the texting option with the front desk as I do get caught up in meetings LOL I'd love to give a shoutout to my new favorite hygienist, Erica, for a great teeth cleaning, painless x-rays (as they do get uncomfortable sometimes) and amazing patient care!!
