First, all employees and doctors I met were friendly and professional. They did make small talk but they have patient contact and work flow down to a science. From the time you enter and check in to the time you walk out the door it is obvious this is a well oiled machine. Never did I feel I was being rushed and if I had a question they were eager to answer and make sure I understood. I had read that their eyeglass prices where a tad on the pricey side so asked for a copy of my prescription so I could do some comparison shopping on my own which was provided. They are in an older strip mall which has lots of empty parking spaces so plenty of parking. Waiting room is large and has semi comfortable chairs ( it is a waiting room after all) The only negative I can point out was that the waiting room chairs where not sanitized after each person was called into the exam area which is a pet peeve of mine during this time of COVID precaution madness. But when I got my glasses (from Costco) something was off, they recommended I get a recheck on the prescription. When I went back to SEC and spoke with the young lady in the optical department, and described the problem, and I'd like a recheck to verify the prescription...that where things went unprofessional. Instead of a "let's figure this out" she immediately wanted to pin the blame on Costco. Then she sat at her computer and tapped out a novel in the notes...finally she sent me to the front to schedule a recheck. When I came for my recheck with Dr. Rollins, he came into the room and he seemed a little annoyed that I was back for recheck. No "let's figure this out" no "it's your eyesight, we want to get it right," just "attitude." During the recheck, he actually voiced his annoyance expressing how I was taking up his time that could be for someone else's appointment....very unprofessional. When I took the new prescription back to Costco, they redid them. After the glasses came back, although a bit better, something is still off, especially trying to read text. I'm done with Southwestern Eye Center.

I called ahead as traffic in the valley went a little longer and I was told I could still come in. The young lady who assisted me attitude was trash. I assume she was in a hurry to go to lunch as she sat some safety glasses in front of me and took off. I sat there for maybe 35 min before someone noticed I hadn't been helped. Doc was great, pretest tech with the colorful hair had amazing energy and was just so sweet. The last rep who assisted with completing the order was amaze balls. When the other young lady returned, she asked me if I was done with the safety glasses snarky as though I was responsible to put them away. The young lady that was helping me needed help with a few task and would turn to the other young lady (long hair with glasses) for assistance and she was even nasty to her. Graciously the young lady who was working with me ignored it. I specifically asked not to be put back with her Or have her even contact me when my order is ready. Yeah... that bad

After we waited for them to take measurements for over 1/2 hour after they collected for exams we left. Going to Costco with your exam. Took them 5 times on the Nikon machine before they got both pictures taken. I like Dr Schroeder, nothing about the staff will ever make me want to go back.

Going elsewhere.... Retrain your service people. I was their when they opened and she refused to give me 5 minutes to fix them. I fixed them...took 5 minutes. Horrible customer service. Consumer beware. I…read morehad to call the vision center to see if my glasses were ready. They had been there for a week, I was not notified. I selected a new pair of Gucci frames for my eye glass prescription from Nationwide Vision in Casa Grande, AZ. Upon being presented with my new eyewear, I was given a generic pocket protector style case (no Gucci protective clamshell case or Gucci cleaning cloth). I was told by the vision center that they did not have any and they were out of them. I was directed to the website to express my concern as it could not be solved in the vision center. These events have dimmed anything positive that took place during my Nationwide Vision experience. This is unacceptable for a "premium luxury" product.
