THEN she said that if I get floaters I need to call 911 immediately and when I asked why she said it's because my retina detached. She also said I have high cholesterol (from my eyes???). All of this was said with drama and also rudeness. For the record, I am 41. Anyway, went back a week later (wore my contacts all week (no I didn't listen) and she said my eyes look MUCH better (uh ok) and she released my new contact prescription from being held hostage. That day I had to wait over an hour for her to see me. Yesterday, I went to the glaucoma consult. The PA was laughing when she got the image results because apparently they get this doctor's wacky consults all the time. My eyes are fine. There is no glaucoma (like at all...not even borderline). There is no reason to be worried about my retina detaching. Anyway, I am a very good judge of character and thought this doc was wrong from the get-go (although, I will admit I just found out my cholesterol is in fact borderline high), so I didn't freak out about any of this. I can only imagine she's going to scare the crap out of someone though and cause anxiety and panic! I will be finding a new eye doc asap and if you're looking for a new doc, don't go here.

However, they refused to give me my prescription without trying the contacts on first, even though I've been wearing contacts for 30 years. I later received a text saying: "Great news! Your contacts are ready. See you soon!" so I went back in expecting to quickly try them on and get my prescription. Instead, they refused to let me do so without an appointment. I'm confused because they advertise same-day appointments, so I don't understand why this couldn't have been accommodated. The front desk employee was rude and dismissive during the interaction. Now I'm left without my prescription after multiple visits, which was extremely disappointing.
