this place should be on the do not hire list. horrible customers service. profetta came out yo install keypad. but two days later my garage door was off the track and wires hanging. the idiot i spoke to this morning would not take accountability and wanted to come out to charge me again. i smell a rat!! please do your due diligences prior to calling this scam artist. read more

I was heading out to get my newspaper, yesterday morning, and hit the garage door opener button as I exited my kitchen. I heard grunting and squealing, as the door jammed. A quick look showed that one of the lift cables had broken. I checked the Profetta Door Company website, and it showed that they opened at 7:30 AM. I was on the phone at 7:31, and they promptly answered my call. Roughly 90 minutes later, their team member was at my house, making repairs. He replaced the cable, did a check of the opener's internals, adjusted the door, and had me back in business in barely an hour. Great Job!! read more

I have used Profetta for a variety of door needs (my garage is free standing 100+ years old but built sturdy) and they have always been able to fix any problem I have had. The technicians are very qualified and friendly. I would not think about going anywhere else. read more

We selected Profetta OGD Ontario NY facility, where I viewed their nice selection and spoke with a very knowledgeable sales associate. They installed a new 16x7 garage door on 8/19/22 with all new hardware, except the power opener which had been replaced only about two years prior. Their technician, Mark, did an excellent job. Start to finish, 2 hours, just as he predicted. The old door and hardware was carted away. The new door and windows were cleaned of any fingerprints/smudges, and looks great. Price was as agreed on and competitive. Highly recommend this company. I think a very experienced installer is a huge plus, and Mark has been doing this for a very long time. read more

Recommended by family friend only to be let down by customer service. Door was working for awhile then was having issues. Asked to come out to see what was going on and they just moved some tiles and left a bill. The tiles were not in the way the same issues happened again after. Issue not solved and after ignoring phone calls and acting bothered we just paid the bill. Charge someone 81$ to move some tiles as if we didn't try that in the first place and then not come back out to see the problem after it happened again is inconsiderate and terrible customer service. I would like to explain this review of Profetta door company. I had a garage door installed by Profetta door company after being referred by a friend of mine that's knows the owner "Dana'. The door was installed in the fall of 2015 and was working fine with no complaints. Because we don't park our cars in the garage the door is periodically opened from time to time. In May of 2016 the door would not close or operate correctly. Remember now the door opened and closed with no problems just prior. The overhead light just kept flicking off and on. I tried both openers and the house opener but it still did not close. I immediately checked the most OBVIOUS if anything possibly could of gotten in the way obstructing the 2 light sensors and could clearly see there was nothing blocking them. In order to close the door I use the manual pull down rope and contacted Profetta. I was told a service man would check on the door. Later that day I received a phone message from the service man saying he found a "box" of ceramic floor tiles blocking the sensors lights.? When I got home I found a bill of 81.00 on top of the box of tiles which were moved from where they have been for well over a year to another area in my garage? Knowing that I never moved any box of floor tiles in the garage that day or the day before and that those tiles were stacked several inches away from the door sensors. I immediately called the office left a message and sent an e-mail to contact me asap and explained to them there were no boxes of tiles blocking the sensors when I checked that day. I even stated in my messages that I put the box of tiles back where they were and the garage opener was still working fine. I received no call or e-mails for 2 months. On the weekend of July 16th. the door would not close after it had opened fine earlier. It did the same thing that it did back in May. I closed the door manually while remaining inside the garage with it being dark in the garage I checked both sensors. I noticed the green sensor light was on but the red sensor was not glowing. I jiggled the wire and tapped on the sensor box and got the red light to come on. I then checked the door and it opened and closed. I thought maybe I could of accidently hit the sensor or that same red sensor malfunctioning again. On 7/21/16 I received a call from the office looking for payment of the 81.00 service call. I explained to her the whole scenerio of what the service man said and did and asked for her to have the serviceman call me so I could personally question him on the box of ceramic tiles that was blocking the sensors. I never received a call back until the next day instead by the owner Dana. Dana insisted that there was a box obstructing the sensors and that his "man" would not "lie" about it. I asked Dana then why didn't he acknowledge my phone call message or e-mail from 2 months ago to contact me when this all occurred. He said "I was waiting to see if it would happen again?" I asked why would he do that if his service man was certain it was a box of tiles causing the door not to close that day? I then asked him why didn't the service man call me as requested? he replied "why should he call you?" During the entire conversation Mr.Profetta was reassured he would get his $81.00 despite knowing the cause of the door not working wasn't a box of tiles blocking the sensors. Without knowing for certain I can only assume that there possibly may be a loose connection problem causing it to intermittenly malfunction. I cannot recommend a business that makes their customer feel their lying when making a simple service complaint Payment was sent. read more
