So far, not so good. I had my Son purchase their plan for his recent cruise. Coming home his…read moreflight was cancelled due to Weather/mechanical issues and he had to stay an additional night before a new flight could be arranged. Their claim reporting app is very cumbersome and confusing and will not let you explain any details on what went wrong. They have paid only a fraction of the loss sustained and trying to explain things to their customer service, so far has yielded nothing. We're still waiting for someone to evaluate the other items not initially considered with all documentation having already been provided to them. My wife and I have an upcoming trip and I have purchased their policy, hope nothing goes wrong if this is how they handle things. Not impressed with the "foot dragging", hopefully they will make things right and if so, I will amend my review.

Allianz Travel Insurance denied valid Travel Delay claim after auto-paying the minimum -- policy…read morelanguage ignored. I purchased the Allianz/Jefferson Premier Plan (Policy E2530477877) for a family trip departing April 8, 2026 from JFK. Our flight was delayed 6+ hours on the departure date due to inadequate staffing and then cancelled at 1 AM the next morning. We incurred hotel costs near the airport, cab fares, and lost a prepaid hotel night in Italy. The policy's Travel Delay Coverage (Endorsement E10) clearly lists "a travel carrier delay" as a covered reason and states that with receipts the daily limit is $200 (not the $100 no-receipts amount). It also covers lost prepaid trip expenses and additional accommodation/transportation costs while delayed. Allianz automatically paid only $100 per person ($300 total) for the initial 3-hour delay under the no-receipts limit. When I submitted receipts and documentation for the full overnight delay, cancellation, hotel, cabs, and lost prepaid night, they denied anything further and insisted the $100 payment was the limit. This is a clear mismatch between the written policy and how they handled the claim. "Travel carrier delay" is listed with no requirement that the underlying reason be weather, mechanical failure, or anything else. Staffing issues caused a delay that began on the scheduled departure date -- not a pre-departure cancellation. The distinction between the $100 and $200 daily limits exists for a reason, yet they treated the automatic minimum payment as a hard cap. I followed the claims process, provided documentation, and referenced the exact policy language. The result was a denial of the higher (and clearly applicable) benefit. If you buy Allianz travel insurance expecting the coverage described in the policy documents, be prepared for the company to interpret it as narrowly as possible when it comes time to pay. I am posting this to warn others. Document everything, keep receipts, and do not assume the written policy will be honored at claim time.

Oh ignore the "free gift card," listed as as offer for checking in. BJ knows nothing about it. Also…read moreyou might be better off getting your own insurance. The insurance companies they use will send cancellation notices to DMV even when they draft your account electronically (so it's never late). They told DMV my policy was cancelled (it never was) and caused my license to be suspended. Having with them as an agent for YEARS meant absolutely nothing. I was told basically "tough luck." Do better. If you say you did something you should have documentation of such. Being dismissive of clients and their plight surely won't get you any customers. I'll also make sure the clients I referr md to you know how you treat a paying established loyal customer. 2 weeks later: after cancelling my insurance policies with this company I'm still being auto-drafted. I stood in their office signing paper after paper. I specifically asked of this was all I needed to do to cancel my policies with them. I still have the stack of documents. But I'm still being charged. I don't write negative reviews very often, if ever. They really suck. Take your money elsewhere.

During the 30 years, our home was insured by the Bradshaw Agency and then the Andrew Agency. Ryan responded by email 99% of the time. The mortgage company eliminated our escrow account in spring 2021. Called Ryan and requested that the upcoming October bill be addressed to our home. The result was several email exchanges over this simple request. The attempt to be proactive was not well received. Similar issues occurred in the fall. Our rates went up 20% in a single year without any clarifying conversation or communication. We had one minor claim more than 25 years ago. An email exchange informed us the cost of construction, specifically materials and labor was the culprit. When we chose to terminate the coverage with the Andrew Agency, there was no call to say what to expect or how the termination process works. Gmail sorts messages in sometimes weird ways. The first message went to a spam folder. Ryan's primary method of communication was by email. Our preference is to communicate by phone. Ryan's last email message was very rude. After 30 years under the same umbrella, we expected better. Our business was not valued by Ryan; perhaps because he acquired our business.
