I am only giving them one star because Yelp won't let me give them zero stars. Their people are rude to victims, and they will lie to victims as well. I was hit by someone with Progressive Insurance. First, I was told they had insurance and a claim was filed. Second, I was told they had insurance and that Progressive needed more information from me. Then I was told that they didn't have insurance until an hour after the accident so the claim was closed. Finally, when I called back to ask questions about what happened I was treated very rudely by the person I talked to, was told they didn't have insurance until 10 minutes after the accident, and was told literally told, to bad we can't help you. As the victim I felt completely victimized again by the person I talked to. My recommendation is do not use Progressive for anything. They are not reputable and will not do what they are supposed to do. Also, I believe that someone like the BBB should look into there practices as well. read more

This isn't specific to any progressive location, but in regards to progressive themselves. Their customer service is heinous and their agents are missing a few brain cells. They have 0 issues taking your money but I've been sitting in my car for over two hours waiting for roadside assistance. Their solution is to contact a new service provider so we can wait an additional 2 hours for them to MAYBE show up ??? read more

Flo let me down, big time! I switched to Progressive several years back and they seemed fine until I actually filed a claim. I was hit in a parking lot. The other person said in the police report that he didn't see me and hit me. Several witnesses said they tried honking and yelling but the other driver didn't hear them. Turns out the other driver has progressive as well. This should be easy, I thought. WRONG It took more than 3 weeks just for the investigation to begin. They ended up concluding that I am 50% at fault. I was sitting in the parking lot and got hit. How in the world am I at fault??? So, Flo does give me low prices, but as they say, you get what you pay for. If you never actually need to use the insurance, Progressive is great. But if you actually file a claim, prepare to be given a run-around and poor coverage. read more

My life isn't exactly low-key or unbusy - as a matter of fact, I work a minimum of 60 hours a week and go 2-3 weeks at a time without those "weekends" all the 9-5ers clamour for on "hump day" Wednesday. That said, a car accident was just about the last damned thing I needed short of a disabling injury. While I'm glad no party was injured from the icy roads which Columbus appears utterly incapable of clearing, my car was - well - a "total loss." From the moment I called Progressive - sitting on the side of 315-N just north of Ackerman - they were extremely helpful. I'm sure I dropped a couple or twenty F-bombs during that initial conversation but they remained professional and courteous. Details were taken, a tow truck sent, and by the time I got home around 8:30pm there was already an e-mail waiting for me detailing the next steps. Working with Enterprise a car came to pick me up the next day and when the claim finally cleared I was given extra days with the rental simply because my schedule doesn't really allow me to go turn in the rental, find a new car, and deal with all that in a 3 day period. Communication has been great so far, and my service representative David Schmidt has been timely and prompt with everything. Toss in my 5+ years with the company, no accident history, and clean driving record which allows me "Diamond" status I was recently informed that my insurance would not go up as a result of the accident and that I'd even get back the taxes on my new car when I purchase. Insurance is one of those things you hate to pay for when you don't need it, but when you do it is awesome to have good people in your corner. Thanks Progressive. read more

We were involved in a serious car accident on January 18, 2019. it was the other drivers fault and his insurance company, Progressive, took on all liability. It has been a terrible experience getting the medical bills paid by Progressive. We just received one today from the emergency room that treated us that still has not been paid by Progressive. It's been 2 months and the bills still are not paid. We have great credit and it is being damaged by Progressive not paying these bills in a timely manner. And we get the runaround when we talk to the claims representative. It you ever have to deal with Progressive concerning a claim, call a lawyer first!! We didn't and now we are paying for trying to be decent people about this accident. We are the victims and we are being treated as unimportant people. Shame on Progressive!! read more

After being with another carrier for 10+ years I just recently switched to Progressive as they were able to offer me a lower rate. I have yet to file a claim and deal with them in that manner, but I have been having problems with my snapshot device and have called customer service a few times to walk me through some issues (mainly the device having spotty communication while being plugged in). I have NEVER experienced such bad customer service. Not only were they rude, but they made me feel like having a faulty device was "my problem," and instead of trying to trouble shoot their solution was to un-enroll me from the program (2 days before I was set to get my discount, how convenient for them!). If I had known what a headache snapshot would be I would have never enrolled. Yes, in theory you have a chance at getting a discount, but from what I am experiencing they will do anything in their power to find a reason not to give it to you. I have been driving 15+ years and have a 100% clean driving record- you would think they would want to keep customers like myself. Also, in regards to the snapshot program, there is a lot of fine print that they do not tell you. First, not only does it monitor hard brakes, but also your speed, driving times, distances, etc.. It even monitors and sends signals to your device every day that it is parked/un-driven. I very much don't appreciate the rude customer service or the deceitful business practices...........I can only imagine what would happen if I actually needed to file a claim with them! read more

Do not waste your time, your money or risk your familys well being with this company. The fact that a simple fender bender (A person slammed on their brakes halfway through a turn) and my rate practically doubles. Whats the point in having insurance? I'm forced to give up my money every month only to have more money taken from me if I'm involved in an accident. I will be shopping around for new insurance immediately. Horrible company. read more

I have been working on a claim with Progressive since November. It is now December. This is regarding hitting a curb in July 2015 and not realizing that I had more damage to my car (right control arm, strut & rim) then just a flat tire. I thought I just knocked my car out of alignment. Took to garage in November for oil change and alignment and mechanic found the damage when on the lift. Made claim. They still have not sent out an adjuster to look at the car. They have had 2 claims reps call me. The first rep lied and said that the adjuster would be there yesterday. My mechanic was nice enough to put the car on the lift for the adjuster and he never showed despite Christa saying he would be there by 5pm. The last one is actually pulling my phone records from that day to see if I spoke to anyone when this happened...it's only a $1600 claim minus the $500 deductible. They actually wanted to know my timeline that day from the time I got up in the morning...Are you K(*#&*#$ kidding me? read more
