I contacted two independent agents and one brand-name insurance company. I was shocked at the price range for the same coverage. My advice: whatever you do, don't get hit by a driver insured by Grange. Even when their insured is at fault, be prepared for delays, poor communication, and a difficult claims process. Instead of promptly restoring my vehicle to its pre-loss condition, I was forced to spend countless hours fighting over issues that should have been handled fairly from the beginning. Based on my experience, I would never choose Grange as an insurer and would caution others to carefully consider their options before doing business with them.

Four of the agencies (including Tim's) offered the same price (for similar coverage), but everyone except Tim added a hefty 'Agency Fee' to the quote (i.e. Agency fee of about a $200 to $300 for on quote of $900). I subsequently called and spoke to Tim. I found him to be honest, and to the point (highlight: absence of upselling).
