The parking is very ample and convenient. There are some superb physicians and some lesser ones as part of this group. Very difficult to get an appointment. Sub par care as they are overbooked and push you off on to a PA or APRN. Even for acute care the wait time is weeks or longer to see a doctor. The most competent doctors in the practice are leaving. We've been patients of Doctors in this practice for 25 years. We were really disappointed with the surgical center. (not our doctor or anesthesiologist- they were wonderful) but the center itself was horrible. As if having your 2 year old having surgery isn't stressful enough, they definitely added to it by not calling or reaching out at all to inform us of the time of surgery. It took us 2 and half hours and our doctor trying to hunt down the time for us in order to figure it out. When we got there, the nurse figured out they had the wrong number completely. They also only attempted the wrong phone number one time. Its now the day after surgery and after my husband missing the nurses phone call, it has been impossible to get back in touch with them. messages left and no responses. The number they left to call back is not in service and the automatic options don't even bring you to the ones that you select. Pro Health is the worst! I got double billed and it took me four months to get it corrected. And even tho a 'problem ticket' was raised with each call, the next person couldn't see it. And then I started receiving dunning letters and threats to take it to a credit company! Getting through by phone to your doctor's office takes forever. When someone finally answers you learn that it's some other office, in some other town! It took me five minutes today, and multiple calls, before I was able to inform them that I was at the front entrance for my appointment. And when I finally got in I was asked the same covid related questions as I was asked on the phone! Doesn't anyone know how to define, develop and institute processes that don't irritate the patient? Save yourself. Continuing to go downhill fast. How would you feel about calling the Pain Center Neurology office with an urgent need to speak with the Dr, only to have the phone ring for more than 25 minutes without anybody answering? (This happened several times.) Or, how about calling administration due to utter frustration, asking for assistance, having the Receptionist try to get through to the office and failing? How about when asking for the COO, Mr. Levin, being told that the complaint should go to Patient Services, asking to be transferred there but then finding that they too don't answer the phone nor do they return the message left 2 days ago? Mr. Levin, do you or the physicians even care? Apparently not since I've learned this is far from the 1st or only report of these backward methods fir patient care. Shame on you! read more

I love this place. It exceeded my expectations. From the moment I asked for an appointment , to the day I walked in for my initial visit, to a consultation to my gastro Doctor then to the procedure day itself....It went perfectly fine. I was given a choice of the doctor I want to see when I asked for an appointment, the scheduler gave me input of each doctors background, the waiting time for my initial visit was quick, Dr Brody is very knowledgeable , funny and detailed, the office is neat and clean, the nurses were all nice and accommodating during my procedure , my gastro Doctor and her team was great. This business Optum (formerly ProHealth Care) are out to milk people for money. They nickle and dime you and your insurance company for everything. At your preventive exams do not discuss any aches or other care you are receiving from another physician o​r you run the risk of incurring fees for having brought up issues. Also please be sure to actively call your insurance company to find out what is covered if you are having a procedure including asking what follow up visits are covered. Yesterday, my father was experiencing dizzy spells and could barely walk. We found out that there was a newly established Urgent Care center at 1 Dakota Drive, and called ahead to make sure they were open. The person on the phone confirmed they were open to patients. We went there, and my dad told the receptionist his symptoms and that he had a cardiac condition. She told us that we could not be seen there "after hours" since his PCP is not a ProHealth doctor. There was no indication of this policy on their website and it was not communicated to us over the phone. We then drove to ProHealth Urgent Care in Jericho to find out he was in rapid atrial fibrillation and needed to be admitted to the ER immediately. In the 45 minutes from us being turned away from the center to my dad finally being admitted to the ER, he could have had a heart attack. This location's lack of transparency and medical professionalism could have killed him. This thought has haunted me since yesterday. I shudder to think what would happen if my father had gone into cardiac distress right there and then. Would they have told us to remove him? To get his body out of their empty waiting room? It should not matter who his PCP is - Medical Professionals should adhere to their oath of caring for patients, and should be able to recognize the symptoms of cardiac distress. They could have - at the very least - taken his vitals. I'm absolutely disgusted and disappointed by the lack of compassion and care we received, and it hurts to think about other patients who may have experienced worse at the hands of this staff. I will be sure to pass this along to my community of Floral Park, Lake Success, and New Hyde Park. No one should have to go through this. read more

Horrible place. Another health factory looking to cross-sell you to every dept they have. Answering a few simple routine physical questions led to 9, yes 9 referrals to see other specialists there. If you ever had a headache, that's a referral to a brain surgeon. Now you can do what I do which is to toss the referrals out as you leave but then those departments start calling you about scheduling appointments. And then the texts start on your phone for months. They're out to bleed your copay's, deductibles and ins dry on each visit. It's no wonder why so many of their good doctors recently left. read more

Love the care I receive from Dr. Malik and all of the other doctors here at Pro-Health. If it wasn't for Dr. Matthew McKinley I wouldn't be alive today. While everyone was celebrating Y2K, aka midnight 1999, Dr McKinley and his associates saw me through some very difficult times in the ICU-followed by 9 months of special procedures back in 2000. I normally don't post reviews, simply because I'm typically too busy to be able to. So if I post it's going to be because I had either a horrible or a wonderful experience. That said, I felt I needed to make an example of ProHealth today. I went last night to their Extended Hours Care, which I was floored because not only were they open on a Sunday, but they are actually open 365 days a year (including holidays!) I hardly waited and after being seen I got a script to get a CATscan. Well I got one done within 24 hours! The radiology office of ProHealth in Plainview, NY, helped get my authorization done, and I got my results. All within 24 hours of first going to their office. That is not only unheard of, but this is the way that healthcare should work. Nice staff, expediency and results! read more

I presented with 102 fever and a cough. The med tech knew how sick I was. Still, she did not wear goggles or a face shield. She blew me off when I told her I didn't want her to get sick. She had me lower my mask. Wow! When I mentioned it to doc who also did not wear anything to protect his eyes, he said "Image how many hours people would have to wait if we started with face shields?" REALLY? You put it on and keep it on! Shame on them! They are probably passing this horrible virus to others. What happened to do no harm? read more

Made an appointment for me. Then I called back and got an appointment for my Husband too, same day, it cost us $1669.51 out of pocket later. I wasn't informed of any charges. They did a nasal endoscopy, then, I got and sign the authorization paper. I figured they already did it, so I needed to sign it. Out of pocket $476.34 just for that, my total visit cost was $875.01 and my husband visit cost was $784.50. Again total cost $1669.51. With the hardship of Covid 19 or without, they should have an obligation to inform the patients of out of pocket cost. I will never go to any ProHealth doctor/ office again. read more

I went to ProHealth for a colonoscopy with Dr. Dobriner. My experience was very positive - definitely 5 stars in my book. They were organized, on-time, and even more importantly, everyone in the office seemed pleasant and caring. I felt safe and well taken care of from beginning to end. From start to finish everyone at Prohealthcare was really great to deal with Dr Vitale made me feel real comfortable doing a procedure I had never heard of. I had a uterine fibroid embolism. He explained everything to to me, told me what to expect and even had me laughing during the procedure. He's very easy going which is my kind of doctor and the best part is it worked! It's only been a month and I feel a tremendous difference. Hope who was my nurse that day was wonderful and Dorothy in the office to care of everything I needed. I had no worries. Staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. WOULD NOT EVER RECOMMEND. No where is it clearly marked that COVID testing is a paid for service if you do not have insurance. We were lead to believe it would be covered under the Cares Act. Website is misleading. SHAME ON YOU TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE DURING A PANDEMIC! In my opinion Dr Shulman is disrespectful and his office staff is inept. My initial meeting and exam with him was less than 90 seconds and he billed me for $400.00. I was concerned over the very short initial meeting and exam to diagnose my problem. I also found his office staff in Lake Success to be inept. Dr Schulman accused me of the disparaging remarks about his staff. Very rude and unprofessional. I have had great and long lasting relationships with three other Doctors of ProHealth Care Associates LLP. I became concerned regarding my healthcare from Dr Schulman. God forbid you ask to repeat the question - they roll their eyes on you, get NASTY and make you look like an idiot. Now the Dr. Himself is worth mentioning under nickname "butcher" NOT pain management doctor. Dr. Allan Millman thinks he the king of the world and treats you like shit. If you think his staff are nasty wait till you meet HIM. He doesnt listen, very hostile, rushes you out and has a short fuse temper. I strongly believe Dr. Allan Millman needs to be on some serious meds (combined w/anger management class) before approaching his patients. I ran out in HORROR right after seeing this circus and hearing how they mistreat elderly patients. It's terrible what I had to witness in there. This company does not care for its patients. I have tried to get my bill corrected to no avail. My patient portal account under billing does not match the amount they send me via mail. Everyone gets funneled through one set of phone banks and then wait and wait. All three of my doctors are overworked understaffed. I wish I could get a supervisor in CS on the phone but to no avail. read more

My good friend recommended ProHealth when I asked him if he had a good pediatrician. Day 1 = I called and left a message. No return call Day 2 = I called again a few days later and left a second message. No return call. Day 3 = I called a third time. Someone finally answered. She said she would email me a packet to fill out and I would need to send it back before they can schedule an appointment. No surprise when I never received an email. Called FOURTH time left a message that no one sent me a package. Why I bother calling so many times is because my friend loves the place. I asked his wife if she had difficulties getting through and she said yes it can take forever to get an appointment or to talk to someone. I got a flu shot in September. I called today to get a letter as proof of the flu vaccination. First of a the lady on the phone was very rude, I told her I would be there in an hour but she said they would call me when the letter is ready, I said I don't mind, I'm coming in since I need to get to the city. She then told me that if I came in, there's no telling how long I would be sitting in the waiting room. It's a piece of paper and I was going there in an hour. So, I get there and there's was more worry about their breakfast order than anything else. The two people in the front were ok, they get 3 stars. I'm waiting and waiting when finally one of the people at the front desk tells me that they have no record of my receiving the vaccine in September and that there was no reason why I would've gotten it since I came in for something else. I told him I most definitely did get the flu shot but he said I couldn't have. So he told me I could wait and get another shot today. Not his fault, the doctor told him to say this. She's a woman, but I'm not so petty to say her name, this review is enough I'm called in and my letter is ready. The doctor comes in and gives me the same crap that I couldn't have gotten the flu shot because my September visit was for another reason. I told her I did get the flu shot and as a matter of fact, I asked you for it. She looked annoyed, but she always looks like that. So, the reason I asked for the flu shot is because I'm a lifelong asthmatic, a nurse and diligent about getting the flu shot every year. As a patient with a chronic pulmonary disease, you think that the doctor would be a doctor and offer me the shot, but no I had to ask for it! What bothered me the most is not that this office is obviously not properly documenting in patient charts, it's that they lied about it and insisted that I was wrong. They didn't have to make up some excuse, or even admit to it, but at least apologize for the inconvenience of getting two flu shots. I'm not going back to this particular doctor. As a side note, my gastroenterologist is awesome! He gets 10 stars. My pulmonologist is eh, I give him almost 3 stars. read more

Pro Health Care is running a "patient churn" scam. They open clinics up and charge you new patient fee's, which are exorbitant. Then after a year they shutter the 24hr clinic, move it across the street back and they get to recharge you for being a new patient...SCAM. To make matters worse, they have been after me on the collections front for 3 months on a bill I paid and have the cleared check for. You get a threatening bill every week and no matter how many times you call they can't resolve on their side, even after showing them the cleared check (written to them!) This is either one of the most efficiently run SCAMS you can find (aka Organized Crime at its worst) or one of the most poorly run organizations I have seen. Either way avoid them, not worth the RISK even when you are sick. read more

I used to work for ProHEALTH, and live close by, so all of my doctors are there. Can't say enough about the docs themselves; every one I've been to has been courteous, thorough, and professional. Med techs and nurses are also excellent - they are usually pretty good at drawing blood from my shy veins. Front office staff, on the other hand, is kinda hit-or-miss. With LIJ just around the corner, ProHEALTH has to scrape the barrel to find employees willing to work for less pay and crappier benefits. You get what you pay for. I've met and worked with some very competent, friendly people there, but they are by far the exception to the rule. Back office staff can also be difficult to deal with, depending upon how well they know their jobs, but reps in "patient relations" (the number you call if you have a question about your account) are usually very helpful. The one-stop-shopping aspect definitely helps when you have a complicated case and need your doctors to coordinate their findings. Once all the practices are up to speed with electronic medical records, it will be even more seamless. In addition to the radiology practice the previous reviewer mentioned, they also have an in-house lab that participates with most insurances (for bloodwork and pathology). Honestly, I don't know why everyone who lives in Queens doesn't come out here - it's mere blocks from the City line and, except for busy mid-day periods, the parking isn't that bad (at least it's free). MTA LI Bus rerouted service on the N25/N26, so it's not as convenient as it used to be for non-drivers, but it's still better than going to Queens LI Medical Group, aka "the HIP center," aka Hell's waiting room. read more

How refreshing is it to walk into an office that doesn't overbook appointments. I walked in at my scheduled time with may be two minutes to spare. I was greeted by name at the front desk even-though it was my first visit. Wow! They handed me my paperwork to fill out and took me straight into the exam room. No wait time. I'm not sure if this is the way it always is or Thursday at 4PM could just be a magical time where it's not busy there. I was in and out of there in 30 minutes. I visited the Gastro department with Dr. Hina Zaidi. Although she was a young doctor she was very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. She handled herself with the utmost professionalism and even made some small talk with me. She took the time to understand my issues and address them all individually. The office was very clean and modern looking. I got a parking spot two spaces away from the entrance. Once we finished our discussion she sent my prescription information right over to my pharmacy. On my way out I handed in the rest of my paperwork and paid my co pay and went about my day. All the clerical staff were friendly and easy to work with as well. Minus one star for not having a physical directory only a digital one and when I looked up the doctors name in this touch screen directory they told me that there was no such doctor. I tried looking it up several ways to no avail and then ended up having to call the office while I was standing within the building to find out where to go. I'm not sure if this falls under the Pro health offices themselves or the actual building but either way it did hinder me from arriving earlier. read more

I'm surprised no one has posted anything regarding Pro Health Care's "random" billing process. Here's my example: Last May I had an appointment with a neurologist at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. My base charge was $294.00 This past November I had an appointment with the doctor's nurse practicioner at the Physician's Office Building in Oconomowoc. My base charge for this appointment was $616.37. I was told that since "hospital services" were rendered somewhere within the building that I had a $310.37 facilities charge. So seeing an assistant at a clinic costs double what it does to see the doctor at the actual hospital??? I won't even go into what we've gone through with my wife's time in the ER back in October. I think I'm at four different bills and counting on that one. read more

I go to this facility I need a dr for my thyroid I was referred to a Dr Bitton. I meet her very nice made sense on how to help level my thyroids. So I thought I had two visit with her and the pass four months I have been calling to speak to her and nothing . I was suppose to have a zoom meeting with her I never received the app to log into I have been calling leaving her messages no luck .
